Good Local Mexican place. Lots of food for the money. Family oriented and seems to be locally owned.

I've been coming here for years and supported them during the pandemic. I've been getting the same thing the past several times. The past three times that I've been here the food was not that great, the chips are hard and have a strange orange hue. Today I went there and ordered a bottle of coke it was warm. Then I was told there was no hot sauce, next I was eating a taco and a long strand of plastic came out of it. Needless to say three bad meals is a deal breaker I've found my new spot on highway 15. read more

Family-owned Mexican restaurant with affordable if unremarkable Mexican fare with super fast + friendly service in a setting akin to Tony Soprano colliding head on with Cesar Chavez in the countryside. Food came out faster than our group could tackle the chips, $5 frozen margarita special was more sugar juice than tequila, and Mole Ranchero arrived an average form atop a generous plate of shredded chicken. In the spectrum of great Mexican restaurants, Hacienda is certainly not winning any fine food/beverage awards, but service is solid and prices affordable if all you need is a quick fix of Mexican in an area not well know for good Mexican food. read more

We always ask for local recommendations and La Hacienda did not disappoint! We started our meal with tasty chips and salsa (loved the individual bowls) and queso blanco. The pollo a la crema was the perfect balance of spicy with the homemade guacamole on the tortillas. The Grande Dinner allowed my hubby to try a bit of each tasty entree. The tamale was his favorite! Our son had a half order of chicken fajitas which were tender and well seasoned. This will be a return stop when we return to MB! read more

My husband and I have been doing Mexican takeout on Saturday night for the past two months from La Hacienda. Food has been consistently fresh and great tasting. We have our favorite dishes, shrimp quesadilla and mushroom quesadilla. We get the meal with rice and a side of retried beans. Excellent!!! read more

We decided to try this place based on Yelp reviews. We are tourist to this area. This was the worst Mexican food my husband and I have ever had! The margaritas were watered down and the food was beyond bland. The beef tacos was flavorless, enchiladas tasted like they literally just shredded chicken and put crushed tomatoes on top with NO seasonings. La Hacienda has always been good, but this evening, the food was horrible. I had #23 from the combo menu, which was 1 taco and 1 enchilada with beans. The taco was the worst I ever had. The meat had no flavor and there wasn't anything in it, but shredded cheese. The enchilada was also poor. Same meat with no flavor. The refried beans weren't even beans. In fact no beans and an odd color. I mentioned this to the server with a reply of I'm sorry and walked away. I won't be back. read more

Used to be a good place, the prices have gone through the roof. The service is terrible. The portions are so small we used to get there, Friday ice cream and now when it comes out it's a size of a golf ball we asked them why is it so small because people were not finishing it. I used to enjoy it with my wife now it's not even enough to share or to have for one person so beware. read more

This is the worst Mexican restaurant I've eaten at in a long time. My wife and I both ordered fajitas. Mine was beef, hers was chicken. It was as if the meat and vegetables were stewed and there was no flavor whatsoever. They were boiled, strained, then put on a sizzling platter and called fajitas. My wife complained as soon as the waitress came back over, which took her about 10 minutes. She argued with her and brought another plate with the same chicken that was picked out of the stewed vegetables. It was simply served on a plate. This is the best Mexican I have ever had anywhere. I had tacos. One diablo shrimp, one pork, and one steak with authentic mexican tortillas, cheese, and fresh cilantro. They tasted so fresh. The homemade hot sauce really put it over the top though. The salsa is pretty good. My wife got a burrito macho that was bigger than my head filled with grilled onions green peppers steak and chicken. It was also very good. Service was good. This place is a little out of the way if you are staying on the beach but well worth the drive. read more

Very underwhelmed. Seriously not sure how this place has the ratings it has. My husband's food was incredibly bland. No flavor. I ordered a mushroom quesadilla. What kind of mushroom quesadilla only has mushrooms in it? Where are the peppers and onions? So disappointed. Oh my goodness. I just wanna say the service is awesome. Got seated right away. Within 1 minute a guy asking what we would like to drink. When we placed our order it came out before I could eat more than a few chips. Fyi the chimichangas are perfect. We got our food. Waiter comes by and asked if everything was how we wanted and yes it was. Then after a few bites he came back to make sure it was how we wanted it to taste. Literally dude check up on us 5 times. Today, we decided to try our luck at finding a place for Mexican food. We saw La Hacienda and decided to go in. The place was empty; but, it was early. Xavier was so friendly and engaging. He answered all of our questions. They immediately brought over salsa and crisp tortilla chips. I decided to try one of their lunch specials - it was a combination platter of a cheese quesadilla, a beef burrito and guacamole salad. My girlfriend enjoyed a combination of shredded beef enchilada with rice and guacamole salad. By the time we left, the restaurant was full of patrons - a really good sign. It's such a welcoming family owned and family friendly restaurant. The food is authentic, delicious and served quickly by the awesome servers. Wow. Surprised me how good and accurate the reviews were. As a Southern Californian raised on Mexican food, I know good when I taste it. I had the Carnitas and they brought the good salsa out (red and green) with the entree. Piping hot tortillas and cold Negro Modelo cerveza. It doesn't get any better. Chips were okay but nothing remarkable. Service was great. Had my beer within a matter of a couple of minutes. Staff and owner double teaming making sure everything was satisfactory. Went there yesterday for the first time. Large menu selection and fair prices. They start out with chips and 3 salsa choices, very nice. We ordered cheese nachos and were not impressed. Just chips with some melted yellow cheese. Also, waiter brought no plates. Then our food came literally 2 minutes after nachos. I absolutely hate that. I ordered the enchilada dinner $12.99. You get 4 and they were good. My hubby ordered a burrito and taco combo. The beef in the burrito tasted like spaghetti sauce meat. Husband not a fan. The thing that ticked me off the most was since waiter dropped nachos off, we never saw him again. Had to ask someone else for the check. Then we saw the waiter. Won't be back because of this.
