I have such good memories of La La Land in Dallas, but was sort of disappointed by the one here. I havent been to any location enough to know what the gold standard is but I wasn't impressed. Service is relatively quick and friendly but I wouldn't go out of my way to go back for another drink. There's seating outside and the place is cute, but there's plenty of other alternative cafes that I'd go to instead.
Love their drinks but the line is always soooo long. Servers are friendly and helpful. The coffee is actually really cute.
I've been to the La La Land at The Grove in LA and really liked the banana cloud latte there so I ordered it at this location thinking it'd be the same. The banana flavor was barely there and the matcha was just okay so I definitely feel like the one I had at The Grove was better. The girl taking my order was also not that helpful when I asked about sizes so when she said "love you" I almost wish she didn't lol
Coffee was pretty sweet, if you're looking for flavor it's good. But if you just want caffeine without the extra frill this may not be for you. The cups and caps were super cute, the line moved fairly quickly, and the staff was kind and helpful. For someone who doesn't want to spend a lot on basic coffee, I probably wouldn't come back unless I'm treating myself.
I actually really liked the drink I got from La La land! I got the banana cloud latte as a coffee (espresso with oat milk) and asked for only 1 pump of sweetener instead of the usual 2 pumps of sweetener! I had heard that their drinks are super sweet and that their matcha isn't that good but was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed my half sweet coffee! The banana flavor literally tasted like a FRESH banana and I feel like I've never had a drink taste so much like a banana fresh off the vine as this one!! (And that's saying something because I am a BANANA FIEND and love all things banana!) it was still a sweet coffee but not overbearingly so and I could definitely see how it would be too sweet with 2 pumps of sweetener and that's coming from someone that actually likes their drinks on the sweeter side. Service was just ok, the setup was a little weird since they had 2 people outside of the front doors of the cafe taking orders on little card machines and they didn't have any menus/QR codes for menus for people to reference while in line or even while ordering so everyone just had to look up the menu themselves online or just ask the people taking orders for what to get once they got to the front since they didn't realize before hand that there was literally no menu in sight to reference while ordering. This could easily be solved by little stands with the menu on them along the line and/or laminated menus for the people taking orders to hold for people to reference. The workers were all nice though and definitely trooper's for working standing outside in the heat. It took maybe 15 min or so for my coffee to be ready on a Thursday afternoon. Another thing that could be improved is that they only yell names out once orders are ready but you can really only hear them if you're within 5 maybe 10ft of the pickup area. It would be nice if they had a text system where they text you when your order is ready so you could shop around or sit at some of the farther tables in front of the cafe and still know when your order is ready. Overall ambiance is super cute! Very clean and bright aesthetic with the yellow and white color scheme. I wish I got to see more of the interior but they were taking orders outside so I only got to see the interior through the glass doors! I would definitely come back for this gem of a banana latte!

My drink was creamier in Dallas but the one I got today was still good! The strawberry cold foam tastes like they use fresh strawberries & the matcha color is a deep green color. Service was also great here -- everyone was super friendly!
La La Land is located at the Irvine Spectrum. The line was fairly long but moved quickly. I ordered their iced La La Latte and it was creamy and delicious! It was love at first sip because it was different from other coffee shops. La La Land is a small shop with limited seating available outside. The guy who took our order was friendly and got all our orders correct. I definitely plan to come back and visit next time I'm in the area or in Newport Beach for their other location.
Such a cute concept! The drinks were pretty good, and the atmosphere was cozy and aesthetic. Definitely a great spot to relax or grab a quick drink. I'd come back to try more of their menu! It does get pretty busy on the weekends but the workers are quick and super nice!

Quick service and tried their spinach feta egg wrap, which for $5-6 is not too bad. It also comes with their sauce somewhat of a smoky chipotle flavor. They have outside tables for sitting but not any indoors.
6/30/26 First time. Sooo good! I got strawberry Cloud Latte. I hate overly sweet matcha and Lalaland's is just perfect without any adjustment. Highly recommended!

I asked the barista if I should get the Banana Cloud Latte or Einspanner, and she recommended the Banana Cloud because it comes in different sizes (the einspanner only comes as a small). The ambiance of the place was quite nice. The seating is outdoors and limited, so it's not ideal for studying, but nice as a stop for a drink for shopping. As for the Banana Cloud Latte, it's interesting that you can choose either espresso or matcha. There's also some options for chai if that interests you as well. A medium Banana Cloud Latte with matcha ran me $7.30, normal for Socal specialty drinks. The cloud was delicious. It's definitely a dessert type of flavor. However, I'm removing one star because I felt the quality of the matcha was just okay. It's definitely more of a sweet milk taste than a full-bodied matcha flavor that you'd get at other places. Overall, it was a nice experience with great customer service. Someone comes around and cleans the tables regularly.
La La Land has quickly become one of my favorite coffee spots! Everything we've tried has been amazing, but the Mango Peach Passion Fruit drink is absolutely incredible. It's so refreshing, perfectly fruity, and the ideal drink for a warm day. Every sip is bursting with flavor without being overly sweet. My husband absolutely loved the Banana Cloud Latte--it was smooth, creamy, and had the perfect hint of banana that made it unique and delicious. As for me, I'm always a fan of their Classic Matcha. It's rich, smooth, and perfectly balanced with that authentic matcha flavor. You can really tell they use quality ingredients. The drinks are consistently delicious, the atmosphere is bright and welcoming, and the staff is always friendly. The only downside is that the line can get extremely long at times,
I had a really good experience at La La Land! I ordered the Matcha Squared with oat milk and only one pump of sweetener instead of the usual three. I got a large, and it was so big that the drink actually lasted me two days! The matcha was creamy, smooth, and not bitter at all. It gave me a nice, steady flow of energy throughout the day without the crash that I sometimes get from coffee. I really enjoyed it and would definitely come back to try some of their other flavors! My only complaint is that the mobile app was down the day I went, which was a little inconvenient. Other than that, I had a great experience and would definitely come back. read more

I had seen somany ads and reels on social media about Lala land cafe so when I heard that one opened in spectrum, I knew I should check them out. The store has an open concept. The staff is nice. It can get really weird when it comes to picking up the order. I don't understand why people go and stand right in front of the pick up counter. My lala latte was good. Was it amazing? I don't think so. The cup was cute and the store looked cleaned. I am happy that another coffee shop is opened at spectrum! read more

La La Land has a lot of drink customization options, which I really appreciate! You can choose how many shots of espresso you want, they have a decaf option, and you can adjust the sweetness level. I got the seasonal Pumpkin Cloud Latte and liked it overall. The pumpkin flavor didn't taste artificial and actually tasted like real pumpkin with a nice amount of sweetness. I ordered regular ice, but I do think the drink could have been colder. They only have one sugar-free option, but I'm glad they at least offer one. I do wish they were more transparent with their nutrition information, especially with how customizable the drinks are. Overall, it was good but not amazing. I'd come back and try something else, especially since there are so many ways to customize the drinks. read more

If you walk around the spectrum currently, you'll notice everyone with these distinct yellow cups! I knew I had to try it out as there is a location in LA and people seemed excited to have it out here in OC. Ordering was quick and so was pickup, the area itself is small and crowded, so not ideal if you want some quiet like a typical coffee shop. As it was later in the day, I ordered a refresher. It was okay, lacking flavor and overall uniqueness. Around 6 dollars. The cup is thick plastic, as well as the top and the little drink stopper. It seems like plastic overconsumption, I hope that this packaging changes for the better eventually! read more

Finally tried this spot on a weekday to avoid long lines. We came around 6pm and there's a little wait but bearable. We ordered 4 drinks and were all served quickly. We had the Hibiscus, Matcha Squared, Tiramisu Matcha and salted perfect espresso latte. All drinks were good and not too sweet. I liked that they have the size options of Small, Medium and Large for all the drinks and I think that the Medium option is just the right size for a pick me up drink. The ambiance was pretty chill and aesthetic vibes and perfect for Instagram! We'll be back to try the Lululemon Chai and Banana Cloud just to check if it really lives up the hype. All in all, a good experience and good drink to have! Also, the Straws are so cute!! They're heart shaped! read more
Cute decor, fast line, not too long of a wait for the actual drink ( keep in mind I went in the evening). Only thing that was off putting was I saw a staff member scratching her hair and ear, unsure if she was making drinks, but nonetheless she was in the same area as those who were. My first time ever trying La La Land! I got the double matcha. It was super delicious so I can see the hype but boy the wait for this place is crazy. If mobile ordering is an option for you I would definitely do that instead and kill some time at the shops. It took me 40 minutes total to order and get my drink. The online ordering said it would only take 20 minutes but you'll probably need to add another 20 to that. I would say the matcha and drinks are definitely worth the hype but if you can, try visiting their other locations (I heard the one in Newport Beach has no wait at all) to avoid the lines. read more

This is my second time at this lalaland and I got the banana cloud latte with oat milk and it has to be the greatest thing I've ever tasted. Tastes like real banana, the coffee is not burned or overpowering. It is so delicious I would order that again and again. My partner grabbed the new pumpkin cloud latte which was also delicious but the banana definitely wins. The carrot cake latte was also 10/10. There is usually always a line here but it moves decently fast. It's a nice area, so waiting isn't bad. Lot of kids and families running around nearby. There's no inside area here so seating is only outside with some table options of lounge chairs nearby. You can also walk around the mall after which are both good options. I would not recommend working here but it's always a great place to catch up with friends and family! read more

La La Land is a vibe, with the beautiful yellow hues and the simple aesthetics. Since its opening, I've been here twice. I always mobile ordered to skip the wait. The drinks were ready before its estimated time (typically 15 minutes), which was nice. The staff always seemed happy and upbeat. I've tried the Iced Einspanner Matcha by Francois, and the Strawberry Cloud Matcha. The Einspanner matcha isn't very customizable (via mobile order). It has one size and the only customizable option I s the milk option. Though it was decent in taste, it was a small cup with 60% of the cup filled with ice. The Strawberry cloud Matcha has more customizable options (such as size, milk, toppings, ice level, etc.), the drink itself was disappointing. There was barely any strawberry puree, and I couldn't really taste and strawberry. it is nice to have a hip trendy coffee/matcha shop at the Spectrum. But La La Land wouldn't be my go to, unfortunately. read more
I came to the Spectrum early this AM before the mall opened to make a return and tried out the new cafe here. I attempted to order ahead on the app, but it was glitchy and it kept sending a verification code and I never got it. I walked up to order and had to wait in line. Luckily it wasn't that long yet since it was only 945a. I've seen the line super long and 60min wait -which for coffee is insane. The employees are very nice and welcoming. I ordered a banana latte Medium with oat milk and light ice. The medium cup is pretty small in my opinion. 4 sips and my latte was gone. Shocking for me since I usually never finish a whole coffee. I did like the flavor and it is a bit on the sweeter side. I do like they use real bananas because I hate fake banana flavoring. I finished my coffee and still had some foam that I could have added 2 more shots of espresso and it would have been perfect. Coffee is decent, however I definitely would not wait an hour for it. The weird thing is they don't have a trash can there. You have to throw your trash out at one of the other trash cans surrounding the cafe in the mall walkway. The employee cleaning the tables did offer to get rid of my trash, but I wasn't done yet with my drink when she came by. read more

I love La La Land! I tried their tiramisu matcha, and I highly recommend it. I love that the tiramisu cream top didn't overpower the matcha. The ladyfinger was a nice touch to the drink. I had to wait a little in line, but service was super nice and pretty quick. As always, love the decorations and ambiance of the cafe. There's a few seats right outside the cafe, but it's also nice to walk around the mall. read more
Such a treat after walking around the Spectrum! There's no inside seating, and very limited outdoor ones, though, the vibes are amazing and the workers are too! I had help from Zane, and he was so nice, very meticulous in his work, and made sure I was comfortable throughout my order. I've had La La Land in the past and only enjoyed their avo toast. It's one of those mainstream cafes that excels in marketing and image. This time around I tried their banana cloud and I'm convinced it is the best drink you can get on their menu. The banana cream on top is delectable and the best I've had. It's thick, creamy, and packed with real banana. The matcha itself is mid but does the job. If you're just drinking matcha to drink it, you will love this place. Also, order ahead and just pick up your drink at the counter, it makes your life so much easier. read more

I just love spectrum and the atmosphere . La la land is an interesting new coffee shop. I ordered the Keith Lee matcha. And the kids ordered the s'mores latte. I enjoyed my matcha but i the kids didn't loved theirs . The packaging is cute. The lines are long but you can order ahead through app. read more
La La Land in Irvine obviously does not have the same LA vibe that I feel like it needs to render it La La Land. Also, there's no indoor space which is a big bummer. It does have the kind energy that we have come to know of La La Land. Although I'm grateful to have a La La Land in Orange County, I feel like the more the brand expands, the more diluted it's becoming. My Matcha Squared drink was fine, maybe a little diluted. This latte was absolutely amazing it is one of the best matcha latte I've ever had I loved it and I'm VERY picky with matcha. I got it with only one pump of syrup as I like to taste the matcha and the foam it comes with is sweet too. The sea salt and strawberry is a delicious touch to the latte! I recommend mobile ordering ahead as lines can still get long. I will definitely be back I loved it so much! read more
The matcha was yummy but I don't think it was sweet enough, perhaps good for those who prefer a more bitter under taste. Also tried the Nutella strawberry waffle, which was very yummy. The Mocha ($8 for a large) was a great boost of caffeine but nothing too special for the price. It is sweet that the employees will say "I love you" as you exit after ordering. Generally there's a lines by the cafe and you'll have a wait a bit for the order to be prepared. read more

finally getting to visit the new la la land that opened at the spectrum! la la land is near UO, i was expecting a small line, but it took forever to order and pick up my order. a total of 40mins on a sunday morning , before 11am service was okay hopefully they work out their logistics , bc a 40m wait for coffee is not okay .. seating is avail outside, merch is avail for purchase , not seen on the floor like other stores i ordered the PSG latte, which was really good! def tasted the espresso , it came with a mini croissant, but my croissant rolled off and hit the floor .. parking: no issues with parking. read more

I can definitely see why people like this place. It's a cute little coffee shop, and they're pretty quick when it comes to getting most orders out. This was actually my first time ever waiting in line just to get into a coffee shop, but hey, it's Irvine anything new and trendy is bound to have a line! Thankfully, it moved pretty fast, so the wait wasn't too bad. The shop itself is small but adorable. My only suggestion would be better lighting around the pastry display because it was a little dark and hard to get a good look at everything they had available. As for the drinks, I ordered the Strawberry Matcha Cloud and my husband got one of their dragonfruit drinks. My matcha was good, but I was hoping for a stronger strawberry flavor. I mostly tasted the matcha, which wasn't a bad thing, just not quite what I expected. I also grabbed a blueberry muffin, and while it wasn't something I'd personally order again, it had the perfect amount of sweetness and was still enjoyable. The service was okay overall. The only frustrating part was that my husband and I received our drinks fairly quickly, but our friends, who ordered at the exact same time we did but ended up waiting much longer. What made it more noticeable was seeing several people who ordered after us get their drinks first. Even with a few hiccups, I'd be willing to come back and give it another try once the hype dies down and it's a little less crowded. I was pleasantly surprised by my visit here! I have been wanting to try this place since it opened, but the line is always so long! This time we decided to try it and only waited about 10 minutes to order. Service was surprisingly sweet and friendly for how busy and hot it was! They have a fun variety of drinks, and I liked that they were not overly sweet. The packaging is super cute and aesthetically pleasing, so it's hard not to love. The tables outside were pretty filthy though, they could use a good wipe down now and then! Other than this I would definitely come back and just bring my coffee to go :) read more

Came here on a Thursday afternoon and the line to order went by super quick; however it took 40 mins for us to actually get our drinks. The shop itself is pretty small, it's just a window that you walk up to (no seating). As for the drinks, I got the matcha squared with almond milk and it was too sweet for me. I asked for no sweetness, but it wasn't adjustable so I'm assuming there is alr sugar in their matcha powder. Also it was a tad bit grainy. My friend got the tiramisu latte and the coffee was on the stronger side. I feel like La La land is a bit overhyped for what it is tbh, but I'm glad I tried it once! read more

La La Land is a wonderful treat. I have been there a few times now and most recently enjoyed the La La Latte. The cloud foam and smooth tasting coffee are phenomenal. With that said, the long lines and confusion at pickup warrant some improvement points. I recommend using the app to preorder, but even then you will end up waiting. That said, the coffee and price point make it worth the wait. read more

I've been seeing this spot on Tiktok and wanted to try it since the matcha looked very promising. We saw it at the spectrum and decided to give it a shot. There was already a long line forming but still wanted to try it. Line took about 30-40 min to even get to order, then it took another 45 min to get the drink. Color of the matcha looked very promising but it failed it taste quality. I ordered the Banana Matcha less sweet and the banana flavor was nice but the matcha was still VERY SWEET but no strong matcha flavor and considering this was less sweet, i'm scared to even order a 100% sweet drink. I'd say this drink is truly for those who are *trying* to get into matcha but are having a hard time with authentic flavors. Ambiance is nice and clean, service is friendly but slow. Location is optimal for more foot traffic. I'd probably not come back since other matcha spots with less of a wait are available in OC. read more

I got the La La Latte, and my family got the Matcha Squared Latte and The Perfect Latte. The La La Latte was a bit underwhelming when I tried it. I thought maybe after the ice melted a bit, maybe the drink would taste better, but it did not. The matcha in the drink is not strong, not very sweet, and not bitter. I think you'll enjoy the La La Latte if you like very light matcha lattes. The Matcha Squared Latte tastes good before the ice starts melting. After the ice melts into the Matcha Squared Latte, it tastes exactly like the La La Latte. The Perfect Latte tastes about the same as the La La Latte. The employees are very kind and helpful. I had never been to a La La Land Cafe so I had tons of questions, and she was so kind and very knowledgeable about the menu. The cafe had a long line when I first got there. I was in line for approximately 20 - 25 minutes because they allowed people by parties to enter the cafe. The cafe's ordering space was small so it's understandable they only let people in by parties. There's two cashiers, and the menu was big. They also have chia pudding, breads, and merchandise you can purchase. I waited about 10 - 15 minutes to pick up my order from the cafe's pick up area. It can be a bit hard to hear your name when there's a big crowd around the pick-up counter, and they have you waiting outside. I'm unsure if I would come back here.
