First review of 2021 will be for local small business ML EATS! I've gone to their soft opening at Ktown-Pocha on 8th and Harvard and have been going regularly since then. Two very talented and humble chefs run the truck and they are not afraid of suggestions or recommendations! I'll point out my favorites from their menu and some from their catering menu (yes, I ordered catering from them for Christmas) Ceviche- Seriously so good!! When I first tried it at their soft opening it was very spicy, I love spicy but I pointed it out through their DM and they kindly took my suggestion of maybe making less spicy for others that can't really handle the heat Smash Burger - SOLID comes with fries or tots depending. Eggplant Rollantini- OMG! I'm so glad I decided to try this because this is my favorite!!! It comes with spaghetti on the bottom and just all the flavors in this dish is just so satisfying! Borracha tacos - VALUE! 3 tacos smothered in meat and sauce... CCC Churo Chapsal YUM! There's always room for dessert! I had their Lomos but it seems like every review talks about their lomo so I'll skip and move on to some of the catering dishes I had. For Christmas catering we had the Lomo, Mediterranean Chicken, Spaghetti Meatballs and chocolate bread pudding The Mediterranean Chicken is absolutely delicious! The chicken breasts were so soft and tender, I had to read the menu again to make sure it was chicken breasts! I would totally order a whole catering portion for myself next time. Their guava lemonade makes me very happy haha Oh! They have something called the FUEGO SAUCE -- It is not for the weak.. it will set your mouth on fire but it is SSOOO good. Every time I go I ask for a tub .... HAHA I put that S** on errthang!!! One of the best local businesses! They are on Grubhub too so you can get it delivered to you. Probably my new favorite foodtruck in town! ESPECIALLY love that they usually post up walking distance to me in koreatown! It's run by two very talented chefs and the food is to die for! I honestly eat from here at least 3 times a week and I seriously still crave it! I've tried a lot of their menu but my two FAVORITE items are the 'Smash Burger' and 'Borracha tacos'. -smash burger : 5/5 so freaking good! Also comes with fries which are perfectly cooked. The burger is a great portion as well and pro tip- add avocado and bacon. SO GOOD!! -borracha tacos: 5/5!!!! This dish I LITERALLY crave every week!!! Its a shredded beef taco but the way that they add the flavoring, juices, and sauces has me coming back!! P.s. ask for the el fuego sauce which is SOO spicy but I LOVE!!! One of the newer restaurants that came onto the food truck scene! There are already a ton of food trucks in LA, but ML Eats is definitely here to say! I just found out that ML stands for Marciano and Louis, the owners and chefs for ML Eats! They have amazing items on their menu including a Smash Burger, Ceviche Tostada, LA Dirty Dog, Lomo Saltado (Sandwich/with Rice), Eggplant Rollantini, Tacos a la Borracha and CCC (Caramel Churros Chapsal) for dessert! For lunch, I got the Lomo Saltado w/ Rice (pictured) and the CCC, which I forgot to take a photo of lol. The food is amazing! I absolutely love the lomo meat because unlike every other place that serves Lomo Saltado well done, they cook it medium rare to medium. The entire plate is flavorful and delicious! Make sure to get the El Fuego sauce if you're good with spicy. It packs a heavy punch of spice and it'll definitely make you sweat! The CCC on the other hand was also amazing! I absolutely love churros and the Chapsal balls are basically like mochi! It also comes with a scoop of vanilla ice cream! If you're around koreatown, I highly recommend this spot! Luckily, there was this food truck that looked like it would serve pretentious, healthy, gluten-free, fake meat replacement nonsense. To my pleasant suprise, I was wrong. Their menu consists of some of the most flavor packed renditions of semi-fusion food. -Lomo/Pollo Saltado My number one go-to dish that I get weekly. Neither, can be matched. The sandwich is perfectly seasoned, and the authentic flavor of lomo saltaldo. It, even comes with aji salsa. I already knew I would love the Lomo Saltado based on other reviews. But it was better than I expected! Nice, juicy meat with grilled veggies and the verde sauce, alongside perfectly seasoned cilantro rice~ Yum yum! What I really wanted to try, though, was the Eggplant Rollantini. If you're a fan of eggplants, this is the dish for you! Ricotta cheese and sun dried tomatoes are rolled up with a slice of eggplant, all topped with some tasty marinara sauce and melted cheese, finished with a splash of balsamic vinegar. The flavors all work really well together! Italian restaurant quality from a food truck. Craving these again as I write this review~~ Enough pieces to share (or enjoy all to yourself!). I noticed one of the Asian chefs was very good looking while I was ordering food. I was infatuated by his goatee and his slicked back greaser hair. However, I had the self control to curb my emotions and stuck to ordering my food. Later on, the chef came outside and began to swoon me with his singing of 2000's Korean love songs. The truck itself is very clean and the two main chefs there are so nice and charming!! This truck is a must try. Everything is very delicious. Chef Louis was the head chef at taste on melrose so you know for sure he knows how to cook it up!
