This was my second time dining here, both times getting the Honey Pepperoni Sicilian pizza and Calamari. The pizza looked good but was average, we had to ask for it to be warmed again because it was colder than room temperature. The calamari was sort of thick and rubbery. Excellent food and even better service! My family and I went for my mother's birthday and we tried to make a reservation online. Unfortunately, online they showed no tables available for that specific date which we found weird. So I took a trip down to the restaurant to ask them directly and they were able to hold a table for us for that date! We came in the day of our reservation and everything turned out great! it was a packed house and the food did not take any longer than expected. Absolutely delicious food, professional and kind waitstaff, and a diverse menu. Easy location to get to, beautiful interior and relatively easy, free parking. Great for larger groups since they allow reservations, but great for small groups as well. I recommend paying in cash! read more

Would not recommend. Waiter brings out our pizza and almost hits our 6 week old with the hot cutting board- I say something but this guy ignores and carries on as if he didn't just do it. Totally unacceptable. Our ravioli and meatballs came out and the ravioli tasted so disappointing and the meatball was raw inside. I said something and they said they'd reheat it ‍. I'd passed by La Lanterna while riding my bike many times, and finally had the opportunity visit. The dining experience at La Lanterna is a beautiful one. The garden is very lovely and though it is near a roadway, it is surprisingly quiet and peaceful. Service is gracious and our meal's pace was perfect. We began with a basket of what tasted like very fresh bread with butter, burrata, and a spinach salad. The butter accompanying the bread was nicely whipped and had chives scattered throughout, which was a delicious touch. The burrata was perfectly creamy. The spinach salad was my favorite, as it was topped with crispy zucchini noodles and avocado. It was a most delightful combination. The pastas were also very delicious. Though the menu didn't have much in terms of vegetarian options, our dietary restrictions were accommodated and meat/shellfish items were omitted at our request. We were especially appreciative of the fact that the pasta was cooked al dente and not overcooked. The pasta tasted very fresh. We had the warm brownie sundae for dessert. There was a bit of rainbow cookie on the side, which was also a very pleasant touch. All in all, dining at La Lanterna was a wonderful experience and we will definitely return. read more

I think this is our favorite Italian restaurant in Westchester. Outdoor seating area is perfect. We used to go all the time and sit outside with our small dog. Unfortunately, because of some incident, they no longer allow dogs outside....so bummed about that. Our 10 pound chihuahua would not hurt a fly and just sits on my wife's lap, but I guess they just don't' want the liability. The food is VERY good and the portions are huge! I have really loved everything I have ever ordered, except the chicken parm which was kinda meh. The service is consistently impressive and the owner is a very nice guy. Lovely outdoor ambiance, food was pretty good... staff was super helpful and sweet. Unfortunately some guests who must have stayed for several hours on the outdoor couches were so intoxicated that one woman didn't know how to exit the property, nearly fell over in a very short skirt and made a bit of a spectacle of herself. It effected the overall vibe of the meal that we had since we were sat close to us and she was walking the perimeter of the property looking for the (quite obvious and large) exit. read more

I sat outside on the patio because it was just so pretty! Plenty of parking (street and lot). I had the blood orange Aperol Spritz which was a cocktail special. It was delicious and refreshing! First things first I had to order The OG the stuffed pepperoni Sicilian with ricotta! It was ahhhmazing and you really can't find this anywhere! I also had the Lumache Alla Vodka with chicken cutlet. The home made pasta was perfectly cooked I also had the garlic shrimp and shrimp Saltati . The shrimp was so tasty ! along with brocolli rabe. Another amazing dish was the Lasagna pinwheels! I almost didn't believe the place was here when I made the turn off the highway. Sure enough it was there. It seems like a pretty happening spot for lunch even though it is kind of hidden. They have a bar and dining area. We sat in the dining area and were quite comfortable. The service was quick and attentive. The bread they bring to the table was fresh which is always a good sign. I went with the chopped salad but it looked better than it tasted. It was pretty bland and was a few ingredients away from being a good salad. We also tried the melazane which is essentially an eggplant rollatini. That was the best thing we ate all day. It also is a good size portion. Must order! My coworker went with the roasted pear salad and she said it was good. We were hoping for a "wow" moment but it never came. Something is telling me if we ordered another item other than salad it could have been better. The bad news is that is what we ordered so that is what we have to judge them on. Overall, it was a cool italian spot off the beaten path. I would come back to check out the other stuff on the menu! read more
