Stopped in for lunch today. We seated ourselves, no greeting or acknowledgement from staff. After sitting a few minutes a server finally brought over menus and took drink order. My wife asked for some sweetener for her tea, I was fine with my water. We decided what to order, still no sweetener, and waited for the server to return. She was socializing with two young men near the window. The other server was socializing with a four top of young men. After 10 minutes, no sweetner, no food orders placed, beverages untouched, we got up and left. This place is NOT recommended!

They have the best fajitas in Broward County. They even made me this plate out of sauce, saying thank you with a smiley face.

A great Mexican place for a bang for your buck. The waitress was kind and explained any questions I had. The ambiance is a tradition Mexican like bar and I got their nachos which honestly could feed 2 people. So if you're not that hungry and you go with a friend get the nachos. They are really good. Not good second day but most nachos aren't.

The chimichangas are the best I've ever had! I truly love this place because the food is fantastic. That being said I normally order takeout because I don't like the drink options here. The margarita wasn't the best. It was strong but not very flavorful, I wouldn't order it again. Also the sodas are from cans (not fountain) so no free refills. If you do eat there, you get free chips and salsa though which is nice. The interior is nothing special.

I ordered takeout through DoorDash, but I really wish they had their own ordering system to avoid the extra fees. When I went inside to pick up my order, I was pleasantly surprised--this spot is beautifully decorated with a fun and vibrant vibe. The staff were super friendly and welcoming, even just for a quick pickup. I got the asada nachos and wow--some of the best I've had in the Pompano area. The chips stayed crunchy (no sogginess here), and the toppings were fresh and flavorful. The beef was just a tiny bit fatty, but it honestly didn't take away from the overall taste. Solid spot, and I'd definitely order again.

AMAZING!!! I was in the area for work so decided to try it for lunch. They've been open 4 years. Everything is made in-house. That includes the tortillas, chips, salsas ,etc. They bring you chips and salsa with two bottles of red and green sauce. The red is spicy. The chips are freshly fried with the homemade tortillas. I had steak, carnitas, and al pastor tacos. All of them were delicious and authentic with the diced onion and cilantro. The refried beans are creamy and topped with white cheese. They make their own juices. Margaritas are served with a house tequila. They do not have hard liquor. I'll be back to try more of their menu. Parking is easy in the attached lot. Staff is super friendly and knowledgeable about the food.

I've been here twice, once for taco Tuesday and another time for their fajitas. I enjoyed myself both times. I love the way it looks on the inside with the Cantinflas wall art and Mexican decorations. The servers are usually nice, especially the bartender that came over a few times to help out. Their food tastes very authentic. The fajitas are some of the best you can get in the area especially for the price, I got the "La Lupe" which comes with steak, chicken and shrimp. These were good and filling and only 16.99 (5/5) Their queso fundió (6.99) is a decent appetizer but their elote (3.50 each) is better and a must have. Their tacos are also all very good. I will most likely try their chimichanga next time I visit. All in all this is definitely a very good spot. The prices are very fair and the food is good. Worth a visit!

Authentic and rather quick Mexican food in Pompano Beach. We tried a chicken quesadilla and some beef tacos. All satisfying and tasty and good portions. They had some good hot sauces on the side as well. Antonella really took care of us. Location is casual and has the typical Mexican artwork and colorful flags hanging. The parking lot seemed easy.

I had been to La Lupe several times years ago, and while my experience was good, it wasn't always the first restaurant I thought of when I wanted Mexican food. So when my Mexican food hankering kicked in recently, I decided to look at the reviews and saw they had many excellent recent ones on Yelp. it was a sign for me to return here once more. My family and I were greeted as soon as we walked into the restaurant and were told we could sit wherever we wanted The restaurant was clean and had nice decor. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful. All our dishes came out fairly quickly, and this is when I started to notice that the food at La Lupe is definitely more elevated than before. The chips and salsa that they bring to your table are delicious. The chips aren't the standard tortilla strips/chips you get at other Mexican restaurants. They are thick and flavorful. I have ordered the shrimp chimichanga in the past, and it was leaps and bounds better than I had remembered. I'm not saying it was bad before, I'm just saying that it's excellent now! The shrimps were fresh, and I really enjoyed the green sauce. My other family members were very pleased with their dishes as well. if I could offer one suggestion, it would be to provide rice and beans with this dish. I definitely will be returning here again in the near future. it's so nice to see a restaurant improve as opposed to go downhill. Again, it was a good restaurant in the past, but I feel like it is excellent now. Plus, the prices are very fair which make La Lupe a very affordable dining option.

I stumbled upon this by accident on a taco Tuesday. First of all the pork belly taco is life changing. Wasn't too impressed with octopus taco, and underwhelmed by the chorizo taco. There is definitely a finesse in the kitchen with crafting the taco's. Would most likely come back for the pork belly. Melts in your mouth.

We had read that this place was really good for Birria tacos so we decided to drive up from Hollywood to try it out. The place is decorated in a trendy fashion with Spanish pop music playing on the speakers and a big mural dedicated to Cantinflas. Everything was very clean. Our server was very friendly and knowledge about their offerings. We ordered the birria tacos (3 per order), a carne asada taco and an al pastor taco. The food came out in a timely manner. The carne on the carne asada taco was tasty but that was it on the plate so you may wanna order two at a time. The birria tacos unfortunately for us were ok. The birria broth was missing more punch for us. The fried ice cream was probably the best thing we had. A big ball of vanilla ice cream that had been coated in cornflakes and then deep fried! Soo yummy.

The restaurant may not look like much from the outside, but it's quite nice on the inside. The staff was welcoming, efficient and attentive enough to make your visit great. Never ask for a Milanesa,they don't know what it is! They give me a litte piece of soaked oil burned breaded steak,even a dog couldn't eat that! I refuse the "dish"! Never gonna come back! read more

Service is very lame. Cleaning table instead of taking order of lunchtime customer. Not bright. Ambiance is Mexican cantina slash television slash a need to clean ventilation vents or replace gray ceiling tiles. Let's now talk food. Salsa and chip we warm but crispy. Chips were oily and see the sheen in the picture. Salsa is refrigerated, upon coming out to my table. The Birra quesadilla is three small taco sizes but decent taste. Guacamole is not worth $11 price gouge food item. Salsa choices are decent. Chi Harmon taco was meaty. Rice and smooth beans were excellent. read more

This is one of the most authentic Mexican food I've tried in South Florida. La Lupe is a little gem, and no wonder the reviews here are outstanding. Order a steak/chorizo burrito , two steak/chorizo tacos, one carnitas taco and even had the chance to try the pork belly taco. Everything was delicious! Next time I'll try the birria tacos! I promised the owner a review, and he earned it. He is a great patron and knows what he's doing! Thanks for serving us last night, we had a great time. The steak fajitas are the best! This restaurant is my new go-to for its good prices and high quality. Have also tried the carne asada, al pastor tacos, and the two specialty tacos that come 3 per order, they are all great - you can't go wrong. The employees are super friendly and welcoming. I've been coming to this spot since they were previously Eric's Authentic Mexican. I believe new owners but the cooking staff stayed, as the food is just as delicious! When I'm craving tacos I consistently choose them over the local Mexican Supermarket because it's still authentic, high quality and the portion of meat on each taco is incredible. As of writing this review, I've had their Asada (steak), Chicken, Al Pastor, Carnitas, Chorizo and Campechano tacos. My personal favorites are their Al Pastor, Campechano and Asada. We also ordered the refried beans appetizer which comes with homemade-style tortilla chips that was super cheesy and flavorful. Knocked it one star only because their margaritas weren't too great. read more

All I have to say is that this restaurant has one of the best birria taco I've ever eaten in my life. The person who attended us, I believe he is the owner, had an exceptional service. We also ordered a steak quesadilla which was also deliciously perfect. My 2 year old son ate chicken fingers with fries and even the chicken fingers were extremely tasty, juicy, perfect. First time visit. Our server was very helpful and her taco recommendations were spot on. Great food including their homemade chips and salsas. I'm dairy free, but cook put cheese on my tacos by mistake. They remade them immediately and gave me a free refill for my troubles. We'll be back ! read more

My husband and I were craving some authentic Mexican food near Pompano Beach and we were wow'd by the quality of the food and the service! Our waiter was very friendly and offered us plenty of help + chips and salsa for the table. I got the chicken enchiladas (came with rice and retried beans). Little family owned restaurant, down the street from us! When craving authentic Mexican tacos this is the place. The Al pastor, chicken and shrimp tacos were delicious. A whole lot of wow in this little family owned restaurant. Lots of flavor, lots of great service and a place everyone needs to try. Everything is homemade from the chips to the salsa to the guacamole to all of the sauces that they use. The girl walked us through the perfect order, accompanied with corona light and Modelo dark. Was craving some good Mexican tacos so I took my mother out to eat at La Lupe and we are so happy we took a chance on this small but cute and quaint restaurant. The food was incredible. Service was good and we left full and happy. The Beria tacos were to die for. The steak tacos were very authentic and flavorful and the chimichanga was great, also. Would highly recommend! We tried La Lupe as we were hungry and in the area. My brother ordered a chimichanga and enjoyed it. I ordered 3 tacos: pastore, beef, and shrimp. They were small, a bit dry, and the fillings were not generous. I got two shrimp in my taco. However, the shrimp taco was very tasty. They were served on corn tortillas, which is authentic of course, but I don't care for corn tortillas and there was no choice offered. I had a margarita, and it was a mix not fresh, so the authenticity seems to have stopped at the bar. Service was adequate but not friendly. I felt a bit more like we were customers they needed "to get through with" than people they welcomed and wanted to serve. We might give them a second chance, because we feel like there is potential here, but I definitely won't order the same thing or allow the same server. read more

Excellent new spot and had a terrific meal here the other day. First satisfying fajita experience since moving to Florida 5 years ago. Still getting their legs under them so be patient and kind, but I was thrilled with the tacos as well and we took some churros home with us and they never made it, we crushed them in the car before we got there. read more

Thought we'd try this restaurant and we were pleasantly surprised. We had Tacos, 1 chicken and 1 pork. So, yummy, served on corn tortillas, with onions and cilantro. Taco sauce had nice flavor and not too hot. Also the Horchata was simply divine. We each had 2. It was creamy and not too sugary. Our server was very attentive and kind. Prices were very reasonable as well. Will come back here again next time we are in town. read more

Why does Yelp ask for my review? Sorry - thought it might be a good find. Yelpers are giving it 4.5 stars, right? Well, the guacamole was bland, the chicken and steak tacos were really, really salty. The elotes used cheap unrefrigerated parm cheese to roll in (that was salty) and the fried ice cream? The corn flakes were stale and soggy. When we told the waitress, she said they leave the package open, maybe they should seal it.... What???? Good reason. We paid the bill, shrugged and said, well that doesn't get a 2nd trip. Went to this restaurant because of the yelp reviews, was excited to try it. Arrived and was not that busy but we got there early around 5:30. La Lupe was soooo good on a taco Tuesday with my girls. The food was a 10/10 and they provided outstanding service. The ambiance was also very nice and reminded me of Mexico. I tried the cheesy Burria tacos, the octopus and the pork belly. All very good the churros I had for desert were succulent. The food came out hot and fresh none of us were disappointed. read more

There is something truly exhilarating about cracking the ball and seeing it fly onto the course.They have really fun games you can designate like Sonic or Angry Birds. The staff couldn't have been more lovely! Our initial bay had a faulty screen that they couldn't fix. They immediately moved us over to another bay and gave extended us 20 minutes for the inconvenience. We didn't order food, but we did order cocktails. They were just okay. I highly recommend making a reservation coming during the day versus night because the price point is drastically different by day and time. We came on a Saturday from 12-2 and paid $40 for up to six people. The check in experience is phenomenal through their app. If you're looking to try something new on the weekend, check them out!

The quesa BIRRIA holds a special place in my heart, but I'm thrilled to say that all their tacos are equally satisfying. The steak and Mexican sausage combination, along with the chiccaron, pork belly taco, never fails to impress with its crispy deliciousness and tender flavors. The asada tacos, featuring deliciously seasoned steak, are simply divine. The burritos, in addition to being huge, are bursting with incredible flavors that leave me craving more. First time @ La Lupe (Mexican Restaurant), 5 stars, from the welcoming to the god bye. Fabio is a great Manager and Host, the server very attentive, we change tables she was excellent, Food is amazing, my wife had Trio Fajitas unbelievable, Chicken, Steak &Shrimp, flavors well balanced, I had the Alpastor Tacos Wuau, one of thes best I ever tried.(Of course I am from Mexico).
