Chicken Friand

La Madeleine is the best! All of their food is delicious! Chicken friand with mushroom sauce, wow! The coffees and lattes are good too! People and staff are friendly! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Place is cute. Has a fireplace , French lessons playing on the speakers in the bathroom, French vibes all around.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I love love the pastries ! The Sacher Torte is absolutely delightful!!!!

As a huge fan of French culture and language, La Madeleine exceeded my expectations! First, they are a large French style café. When you are enjoying your time at La Madeleine, you feel like you're in a café in Paris. [[HIGHLIGHT]]From the cozy fire to the fresh baked complementary bread, it is quite the experience![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The prices are fair for the quality of food that you're getting. We ordered French toast and the potato galette. The French toast was so soft and full of flavor. The potatoes were crispy and seasoned well. Very friendly service - they even speak a little bit of French to you! It was so cool!! We will definitely be coming back.

Place a DoorDash order on a Saturday night. 2. Crème brûlée 1. Blueberry muffin 1. Raisin muffin I received two uncooked crème brûlées instead, of a blueberry muffin, I got something else, and the raisin muffin was smashed like someone stepped on it. It was truly disappointing since it was my first pregnancy craving.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]La Madeline is a cool cafe vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My favorite is their Coconut cake. My father likes their french hearts and latte. Service is cool. The fire place was so warm so if you don't like being hot, definitely do not sit near it

Pretty good competition to Panera. Lived in the area for years and never went to this place until now. I am surprised that it's like a coffee / crepes / sandwich place all in one. The service was decent. The food, however, was somewhat lacking. I prefer all my stuff hot. It may have been due to getting such a wide variety of items. I still ate everything. My favorite part was the crepes. Would probably come back and try more of their breakfast.

I hadn't been to la Madeleines in a while and I was very happy with my visit yesterday with my mother and two little ones. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They had the fireplace on which was great after getting inside for a cold outdoors.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I ordered the chicken pasta and it was amazing. The cashier made the perfect latte for my mom. She is extremely picky when it comes down to her lattes and she absolutely loved it which made my day. We will be back for another lunch date!

Eggs Benedict and potato

Food is delicious. I had classic French toast with bacon as a side. And my husband had the eggs Benedict which he enjoyed as well! The staff were courteous and knowledgeable. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant was pretty and quiet.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We enjoyed it!!

Was in the Kingstown area I wanted something unassuming. So I chose LA Madeline. I remember one time for work they catered our holiday party and the food was good. Nice thick slices of turkey, good stuffing. So I chose the turkey croissant and they gave me a big bag for a little sandwich. Way to much for a to go order. I digress the sandwich was soft and fluffy the turkey got lost in the sandwich a lot of egg. The cheddar blended on perfectly. Next time I'll take more time look at the menu. Good customer service!

DH and I came on a Sunday morning kind of early because we didn't know if Sunday church traffic would be an issue (it wasn't really while we were there). There was a line when we got inside and it partially blocked the entrance, but only one register was open at the time which was the cause of the line and blockage. The case of baked goods looked amazing!! Of course we picked a couple of macarons (lemon and vanilla). There were other flavors available like raspberry and chocolate. I ordered a crepe and hot chocolate, DH ordered a quiche and a cappuccino. The food came out fairly quickly except the quiche. The quiche came out almost 30 minutes after we ordered. We noticed several people who sat after us had gotten their food and I was more than halfway done with my crepe (I offered to wait to eat, but he said no). DH went to find out when his quiche would be ready and they told him it was still in the oven. Shortly after, his quiche arrived. It was definitely freshly made as it was piping hot. I was able to taste a bite of it - delicious! But wild that it took that long. The crepe was also delicious and sweet. Everyone was really friendly and the food was good. Took a star off for how long it took to get his food. Will probably come back if we are in the area again.

Avocado toast with fried egg

I'm completely offended by this toast. I had to pay 1.99 for the fried egg. A complete waste of money. It has no taste. As an employee of this establishment I would've been ashamed to give this to a paying customer. And the woman at the register had horrible customer service. I'll probably never be back. If you're in the Kingstowne/ Springfield area. Go to best buns. They have the best avocado toast

Food has never disappointed me. However, service is slow and not customer oriented. Takes forever to order and get the food.

Why'd it take me so long to visit this place?! It's awesome!…read more Service was fast and friendly Great seating options and a good spot for remote work (a bit loud so noise cancelling headphones recommended) Fun latte selections I tried the BAKLAWA MOCHA with oat milk. It wasn't too sweet and held a perfect blend of walnut, rose, and orange bloom. Very creamy and enjoyable There is also a great selection of savory bites, sandwiches, and pastries I decided to try the SFEEHA and that was soooooooo good! The flavors were nothing short of delectable Can't wait to return!

This was a visit that we really wish had gone better because there is so much to love about Yellow…read more(which we'll get into), but a lot of things just really rubbed us the wrong way. First of all, the woman with gray hair and several tattoos was beyond obnoxious to us and she should have a talking to by management. It wasn't busy when we were ordering, and we had a few questions because it was our first time there, and she was just nasty about...everything. Why she works in customer service is beyond us. Let's talk about what we really loved: the hibiscus karkade and mish mish soda nonalcoholic drinks were so delicious. They were refreshing without being too sweet, which was perfect for the swelteringly hot day. The levantine pickles were interesting and a good crunch start to the meal, but the smashed cucumbers were just gross. You could tell that they had been sitting for a while (possibly over a day) because they were slimy and mealy and the whole thing was drowning in liquid. You got zero taste of the scallion oil. The hummus was great, as was the lamb leg "cheesesteak," which was completely unique and special. Finally, the shatta batata were also quite original, and we appreciated the spices and insanely-addictive dipping sauce. Here's what we hated: the hummus, pickles, and cukes were all served in to-go containers. We get that this place is casual, and maybe it makes sense for the veggies, but the hummus container had literally HALF of the dip carved out--and it cost $10! We feel like we got what we paid for with the $22 "cheesesteak," but the tots (served in a bag) were $13. The pricing just seemed way off for what you actually ended up getting... ...which was especially the case with the two soft serves that we tried, the baklawa labne and the tahini oat. They were wonderful and creamy and, again, unique, but with the added surcharge and the (undeserved) tip, they came to over $25. We're kind of a mixed mind about this place. Like, some dishes were really, really good, but the value was not there and the service was beyond off-putting. Not sure if we'll be back again. Maybe.

Ordering is done at the counter, and the process was quick and easy. The staff taking orders were friendly and helpful, and our food was brought out very fast despite the lunch crowd. My husband and I both had the ham and cheese sandwiches. They were good, although nothing especially memorable. The desserts, on the other hand, were delicious. We also picked up a couple of muffins along with an iced tea and coffee. One thing that really stood out was the huge selection of desserts, danishes, cookies, teas, coffees, and other drinks. There was plenty of indoor seating plus a few outdoor tables, so it never felt cramped. The only disappointment was that there were no free refills on the iced tea, which is what kept this from being a five-star visit for me. On the plus side, we signed up for the loyalty program and were pleasantly surprised to earn a free pastry from just this visit. Since we don't live in the area and probably won't be back anytime soon, that was a nice unexpected bonus. Overall, it's a solid spot with friendly service, great desserts, and plenty of seating.

AMBIANCE: Cute cafe in the springfield VA area-- i didn't…read moreeven know it was here to the point i thought it was a brand new spot! The hostess let me know they had been there for 2 years. it's a small space but cozy to work it. definately not somewhere you want to post up but good if you're going to stop for about an hour or so to do some WFH work. SERVICE: So i've been craving coconut latte or a vanilla latte with coconut milk you'd be surpised to hear that not many cafe's have coconut milk as an option. so i decided to call and the hostess was very kind. when i arrived she realized it was me who had called and made conversation. so very friendly! FOOD: Not fod but i got my vanilla latte in coconut milk and it was exactly what i wanted. not too sweet and i can be sure my stomach won't be upset due to the fact that it's made in coconut milk! love it.

I stood at the pickup area for several minutes while three employees were behind the counter. One of them looked directly at me while drinking water but didn't even greet or acknowledge me, and the other two never seemed to notice that someone was waiting. It felt like no one paid attention to customers at the pickup station unless they walked over to the ordering counter. I wasn't helped until another employee came out of the kitchen to assist a different customer. She then went behind the counter, chatted briefly with her coworkers, noticed me waiting, and finally asked if I was picking up an order. The food has also changed. I used to buy the strawberry crepe for my daughter almost every weekend because we loved it. This time, it was soggy and overwhelmingly sweet, with far too much topping and syrup. It no longer has the same quality it used to. The omelet was still decent and about the same as before, but the cappuccino was bland and forgettable. Nothing about it stood out. Based on this visit, I won't be coming back. It's disappointing to see both the service and the quality decline from what used to be one of our favorite places.
