Croque Madame
James B.

After revisiting La Madeline for the first time in years I can say the food is just as delicious as before, unfortunately the service has taken a dip. I'll first say the food is great and doesn't disappoint. It's been a while since I've visited but I always love the Chicken Parisien. I can't mention the food without talking about the Tomato Basil soup. It is the best tomato basil soup as is a must order in my opinion. The food on its own is worth 5-stars. The service is another story however. I came in with my girlfriend at 8:15 and the restaurant closes at 9:00. After working in the food service industry I understand that near closing time the service may be slower and a little different than normal but I don't think that excuses our experience. Both the employees taking our order and bringing our order to the table were very short with us and seemingly annoyed. We couldn't help but notice never hearing you're welcome after repeated 'thank you's. Overall it created an uncomfortable environment. Again, I know it was late but it was still 45 minutes until closing time and there's never an excuse for bad service. Another thing we noticed was that typically there is bread available to have with your soup. While this is typically complimentary, it's still an expected part of the meal and there was none available as they had the bread box behind the counter and empty. This was disappointing as we both expected that with our soup. It may seem like a small issue but given the pricing we did expect it. Overall, I loved the food at La Madeline and would expect the service to be better on a different day. Unfortunately the service we experienced doesn't necessarily make either of us want to go back, and I hope others dining there can have a different experience.

First time trying this place. The food was truly phenomenal. The croque monsieur was on point. I found my favorite place to eat!!!

Blueberry muffin, palmiers, linzier cookie (heart), lemon Madeline's. MY favorite can't get enough

I mainly come here for their desserts and café. My favorite pastries are in the photo. Often times I have to go to different places to get all my favorites. La Madeline offers it one-stop-shop. Palmiers are flakely and crunchy! Linzier cookie has just the right ratio of jam to thickness of cookie. Blueberry crumble muffin is moist and crunchy top. I enjoy this very much. Their lemon Madeline's are soft and not top sweet just perfect. Chocolate torte is devilishly good. (Not in photo) it can be hard for me to find the right chocolate dessert. It's either to thick/ hard on the fudge or too sugary. La Madeline does it well. Fruit tarts, strawberry napoleon, I mean as you can tell...I ate every dessert there. Other recommendations: 1. Croque Madame. It has smoked ham & Swiss with Garlic cream sauce baked on a country bread. Then topped with an egg. Served with crisp greens. It's lover "Croque Monsieur" is the same make but no egg on top. I'm now having a flashback of how possessed I looked while eating it. Eyes rolled back..toes curled. It's not overly seasoned which I like. I can taste each ingredient for what it is. That's quality food..well that's what all the cooking competition shows tell me... 2. Chicken La Madeline: chicken marinated in balsamic and topped with creamy mushrooms. It's served with 2 sides of your choice: red skin mash potatoes, steamed broccoli, almond green beans, and rice. Skip on the Pesto pasta wasn't spectacular, a bit bland and one note. All in all I really love the simple ingredients, well made items, and decent prices.

the menu for a french cafe

A great experience and treat- to have freshly made French pastries! I did go a bit overboard but everything looked great, smelled great and felt great from the time I stepped into the shop. I recommend the quiche and certainly a buttery flakey croissant. Take a seat near the fireplace and enjoy! I was expecting to take a seat and have my order taken, however since COVID most businesses have adjusted to the model of patrons ordering upfront, then taking a seat and the food brought out. This upfront order style did make me feel a bit rushed. I recommend reading the online menu prior to arrival. Update: just downloaded the app today to checkout my rewards and have a free bakery item coming on my birthday in Feb! If you dine here often, get the app

Birthday Edition La Madeline is located off Roswell Rd. There are a few locations around the city. It's in a shopping plaza w Sprouts, 5 Below, Chicken Salad Chick, and several other businesses. You cannot miss it from the street. Plenty of free parking! Sign up for the club, you can download the app to order food, collect rewards, and get notifications about new menus and other upcoming events. For your birthday, you get one free item from bakery. For example, any of the mini tarts none of the full size family tarts or other items. My favorite items are the mini lemon and fruit tarts. I also absolutely love their strawberry Romanoff. It's strawberries with a brandy or Bourbon flavored whipped cream. It is delicious!! The food is good here. Love their breakfast items, Chicken Caesar salad, and tomato soup. You can buy their breads, soups, dressings, and a few other pantry items home to cook on your own. Love their fresh croissants with breakfast entrees they offer.

The menu is overwhelming. I think we had to spend 3-5 minutes just trying to figure out what all was on it. Along with this, the prices are high so you don't want to try just anything I got the gulabo ($8 for M) with chai and maybe I should've done espresso. It was the sweetest drink I've ever tasted but I'm the person that chooses 25% sweet at tiny bubbles or no added sweetener in my matcha at Starbucks. The (owner) asked if I'd like my drink made differently and I said no because I'm not sure they could unsweeten this one. I believe the chai is from a torani syrup not freshly brewed but I could be mistaken..I saw a chai syrup so that's why I assumed this. Either way, I brewed more tea at home and just mixed it in as a "creamer" and then it was perfect The drink did taste like a galab jamun which was wild and there was even one in the drink which my toddler loved ha It was a cool novelty drink. I'd probably try the popcorn one if I came back for giggles or an ube bowl - I'd definitely have to examine the menu more The bowls all come with banana and granola and honey so you don't have to add additional toppings unless you want them. Every drink / food has add ons which sounds like Burger King have it your way vibes but it was just overwhelming for us. I'm not even sure I got pictures of all the menus They roast and sell their own coffee for $22 for each bag - you can see the size in my photos They also have some baked goods They also make / sell custard They also have popping bobas They also have Mexican style mangonadas They also have some Dubai chocolate type drink for $16 Frappes Lattes Smoothies A million other items which is cool for novelty but I'm not sure how it'll work as a long term business model. That's a lot to keep on hand It's in a strip mall so there's plenty of parking The owner was very friendly and had a lot of information which was great and definitely added to the experience Overall, it was an interesting experience. I wouldn't go there all of the time but maybe once in awhile for something experimental

We started the day a little late so we were looking for a brunch place. I came across Fluffy Fluffy on Yelp and since they serve Japanese-inspired pancakes, we decided to give it a try. It was Mother's Day so the restaurant was completely full when we arrived. We took a while deciding what to order and luckily a table opened up at just the right time. We ordered both a savory and a sweet dish, the Eggs Benedict with Salmon and the Mini Soufflé Pancakes. One thing to note. Their website mentions that the combo set is available all day but this particular location doesn't offer it. We really enjoyed the Eggs Benedict. You can choose either a croffle or sweet toast and we went with the sweet toast which was delicious. I also loved the dressing they used on the salad. (I was disappointed to later find out that they actually sell the dressing!) The soufflé pancakes, however, were a bit of a mixed experience for us. We chose the mini version so we could try four different flavors: blueberry cheese, tiramisu, matcha tiramisu, and strawberry cream. In the end, we were actually glad we ordered the minis instead of a full-size pancake with just one flavor. Out of the four, the blueberry cheese was our favorite. The tiramisu flavors didn't really taste much like tiramisu to us and the strawberry cream topping was fairly simple as well. The pancakes themselves were also a little drier than we expected. I also ordered a matcha latte but unfortunately, it wasn't my favorite. It tasted a bit watery and didn't have a good matcha flavor. Overall, it ended up being a hit-or-miss experience for us but we still thought it was a fun and unique concept to try.

Inside is lovely and clean with earthy decor and some toys for children by the restrooms. They also have a portable changing table available on request. I sat outside on the patio and they put a fan on me since it was warm. Lovely seats on the lawn shaded by a large tree as well as some deck seating. They have a large menu loaded with goodies. I found about 5-6 things I actually wanted at once but settled not he Veggie bowl and added chicken sausage. Perfectly cooked and healthy and loaded - the hash was phenomenal. When I arrived , I was very lucky to get the last spot . However , I noticed other patrons were parking next to the Root Canal office . It was an open area that appeared to be a makeshift parking area. There was outdoor seating, by which I saw quite a few people seating there . It looked cozy and no one seemed uncomfortable. As it was my first time there. I elected to eat inside. It wasn't a bad experience, but the home is very small . I can imagine it being congested . But I was there early on a Sunday . Will I eat here again ? Yes !
