I do like how they prepared the sliced carrots, though. We also ordered fries and corn bread for the table. The fries were perfectly salted and super crunchy. The cornbread was warm and came with a side of creamy butter. It was a great piece of cornbread, and I am not even a cornbread girly. I will be returning for the happy hour sangria and the Ahi Tuna.

The texture of the toast is immaculate, the eggs and meat are fluffy, and the cheese is nicely layered. The fruit cup did not have orange or pineapple, but did have more green apples instead, which I am partial to so I am not complaining at all. Instead, we left deeply hurt and in tears because of the way my 5-year-old son, who is highly autistic and non-communicative, was treated. My son was not disturbing other customers. He was simply walking next to our table because he was watching his shadow. Despite this, the store manager and 3 different waitress confronted me and told me to "handle my son or they will." As a parent, I found that statement extremely threatening, insulting, and completely unacceptable. There was no attempt to understand my son or his disability, and the way this situation was handled left my entire family devastated. I understand that restaurants have rules and expectations, but there is a respectful and compassionate way to address situations involving a child with autism. Threatening a parent and making them feel unwelcome because of their child is not that way. Customers beware. If you are looking for a place where families--including families with children with disabilities--are treated with dignity, compassion, and respect, I strongly encourage you to think twice before visiting Aunt Emma's Pancakes. Not once did I get an apology from any of the waitresses or the manager!
