Worst service I ever received at the San Antonio, Nacogdoches location. I wanted to see what the store in Schertz might be like and I can assure you I will not be going to any of your locations again. 12/29/2023 @ 145pm. The cashier was extremely rude because I did not speak Spanish, I assume. Snatched my money from my hand when I was paying. The attitude on her face and mannerisms show the "face" of this company. They serve great breakfast taco and plate lunches here. I by my meat here instead of the other place up the street as it is always cleaner and meat does not look old. Wanted to make some tacos is at home and the cubed the meat up nice saving me a lot of time. Product is fresh and they have a great assortment of B Mexican spices. Came here on a whim. Not to buy anything but to try their food. You walk in and you see the kitchen. You can choose your choice of taco: lengua, babrbacoa jalicense, beans, barbacoa, carnitas, carne asada and others. There is also flautas, caldo, chile rellenos, tortas, pupusas, quesadillas, and gorditas. I had 2 sopes which they made to order (filled them with whatever i wanted) in this case, pork carnitas. They added beans, rice on the bottom, then the pork and top it off with lettuce, tomato and queso fresco. They were so big, i didn't finish them. My son had the bean taco and shredded chicken taco. Both were good but the I found a bone in the chicken taco. Both things we ordered were good and portions were pretty big. The place is clean and pretty colorful. This taqueria and El Tacotote Restaurant are my favorite Mexican places in town! Everything at the Michoacana kitchen is incredible tasty. The staff are very courteous. I love how this place jams out the tejano music in the parking lot - loud! They blast that stuff- It's pretty awesome. Inside, the grocery store has a huge selection of meats- in all kinds of different cuts, marinades, and types. They sell all the parts of the entire animal here- linguas, tripas- you name it- they have that cut. My favorite thing about this place is the snacks and bakery. They have a great selection of sweets and salty foods like chips or peanuts. This place typifies a state in Mexico, and they do a good job of showing off the area's cuisine.They have a giant map of the Mexican state painted up at the front of the store, in case you were wondering. I enjoy coming here, and always like checking out their produce section. The prices here are fair, considering how hard it can be to sometimes find some of the ingredients available here in such selection. They also have a taco stand within the grocery store that makes some food that looks pretty bueno! Check this place out for your cooking needs. read more

I would say I love going to this meat market because they have meats on sale i mean on sale every weds. Rather than going to HEB where they meats are so expensive by the pound I would recommend people that loves chicken or pork to go to this place. $7.69 lbs for fajita marinate is a bit steep. I hoped it was worth it. Meat looked good inside bag, took it out and was disappointed. They purposely wrap the meat in the way you cannot see the fat when they give you the bag. And check for expiration date on the tostadas, mine were 2 months from expiration date. They told me to stop by for a replacement , I told her I will spend more on fuel than $1.50 on item. Never again. read more

I have bought fajita since before COVID-19 and it's always been disappointing. I keep going back because I don't know of any other Mexican meat market in the area. The cut of the meat is bad, they leave so much fat which when they weigh it half of the weight is fat and not meat. Aside from leaving so much fat they also don't cut the nerve endings on the meat. My husband always has to clean it himself before cooking. This last time we purchased the meat, it was so salty I wasn't able to eat it. This has nothing to with COVID-19 because they've been bad since before. If I can rate it less than a 1 Star I would. read more

The manager said to come in and get a refund on our next visit. on our return he said he doesnt remember us and refused to refund the money. the customer service reflected in their business, because they were empty on a sunday morning. we took our business to culebra meat market. they were packed and the food was good! Whites not welcome I had ordered hot food and when I tried to pay I was redirected to the regular check out line for groceries while there where Hispanic people behind me that was allowed to pay for there food there and they where take care of asap I even watched a lady before that pay for her hot item and about 15 grocery items . My wife is Hispanic but yes I am a gringo by appearances this to me was discrimination no doubt . But doesn't make me to be that way to others just doesn't make me want to go where I am not welcome or at the very least a second class customer!!!! read more

This is my second visit to this store and it was as bad as the first. Discovering I had no bell pepper for my recipe I was in the middle of preparing and not wanting to deal with the HEB's crowd, I thought this store would solve my issue easily. First of all, the produce looked really sad but I grabbed a bell pepper and some green onions and headed to the only check out open. The cashier was really slow checking out the family in front of me and I tried to get the attention of another checker at a station with no light on who ignored me. THEN, he comes over and tells the person BEHIND me that he could check them out. I told him I was the next person in line and he stated he could check me out also... after the person behind me. Then, he proceeded to have a change issue so I walked back to the other cashier and had to wait again... Produce and customer service don't seem to be a plus here. read more

Just went to the store to make a quick stop, one item. I arrived and walked up to the doors at 8:50 pm. The hours of operation are listed that are open until 9:00 pm. The doors were already locked, there was a customer trying to get out of the store and was locked in and had to force her way out. When the employee came to the door I made her aware that it wasn't 9:00 pm and she said "sorry, we're allowed to close 10 minutes early". Horrible customer service, I would have been in and out in less than 5 minutes. The hours on the door shouldn't say 9 PM if that's not what you're going to offer your customers. It's should say 8:50 pm (sometimes) if that's the level of service you give, I won't ever go back to this location again, they obviously have lazy employees, that get paid to close early. read more

I received a great coupon for some free chicken with purchase, that's what got me to the store. After I got there I noticed the store is well kept, all your basics in stock, and of course, lots of Mexican products to choose from, especially the spices. I went straight to the meat department. There was a couple of friendly guys working and they speak English and Spanish and were very helpful. Not only did I get the free chicken but got some pastor, pork stew, arrachera, & some bacon. Everything was fresh. I recently cooked the pastor and it was very tender and pretty good. Close to the meat market is a small stand that contains some mole verde and mole poblano. You hardly ever see that available in any store. I chose the poblano to go with that free chicken. While I was there, several other shoppers were in and out, that's a good sign for turn around on there groceries. I didn't eat at the in house taqueria but I love the way they serve the food in clay pots, like you see in Mexico. Nice touch. I will definitely come back to do some more shopping. read more
