I was in the area and was craving shrimp ceviche and remembered how tasty theirs was the last time I ordered it. I got a pound of shrimp ceviche that came with maybe a quarter of an avocado and 5 tostadas. It did not disappoint! I just wish I had more avocado. This was $9. I also got a pork tamale since I saw a sign noting they only had them on Saturdays and Sunday's. I was sorely disappointed since there was WAY too much masa. Excellent breakfast burrito. So often it seems that breakfast burritos scald the tortillas leaving a pungent aftertaste that doesn't fit well for breakfast. Most breakfast burritos are dense and flavorless. This was different. It was gooey. I say that with complete affection. The beans were incredibly tasty the eggs were perfectly cooked and not dry nor spongy. Both their hot sauce and salsa were home made and incredibly tasty. I recently tried their tamales and they were super under cooked, very mushy but at least the meat tasted good. I decided to give them another try and get some tamales for the office. Very upset, I love me some tacos, I don't eat pork. I asked for 2 asada tacos and two chicken tacos, they gave me three tacos. I decided to wait for the forth when they said the third is coming up. I waited and they gave me "Buche-taco" pig throat or esophagus. For the last taco. I put it in my mouth, and immediately spite it back out. WTF! They knew what they did if you ask me. Not only is this a Mexican Bakery and Market, it also contains a small restaurant. Me and my family have been coming to this Market/Bakery/Restaurant for years. Whether it be to just stop by to pick up some tortillas or soda pop, or to get some fresh meat from the meat market, or to have a quick meal at the restaurant. Okay I just used "or" a whole bunch of times :-P haha but there are alot of options when going to this place. In the restaurant, they cook up fresh food everyday. You can select from fresh items such as Chile Verde, Ceviche, Gorditas, Tortas, Nopales...and many more items. They also have fresh juices :-P yummy Horchata :-) Everything here is pretty delicious. But the second to last time that I came back to this place, a worker was cleaning the place and the looked at the door by the back door and followed something with her eyes as she screamed. Here's what happened and it's so hard to breath right now but HOW ON EARTH CAN EGGS BE DRY? Like seriously? The only thing that saved me was the beans but the chorizo was soooo very dry too so gross. If the description didn't already make you hungry then you might be looking into the wrong type of place to get food. Good food doesn't have to be expensive, this place is clearly a local staple as they get quite a lineup when their busy, and an impressive consistent influx of people when they're not. I went there for breakfast, I was wanting breakfast and the reality was the only thing they had with eggs was Machaca. I took my mother with me as I was wanting to show her the spot that my Nino had told me about since we weren't. Possibly the best mexican menudo ive had!! Came here on a sunday morning right after work. There was no line forming and was able to order right away. I ordered the large size menudo which i believe was $6 and some change. It was so flavorful and tasted very fresh. They even make fresh tortillas from scratch which complement the menudo very well. Came in for a nice menudo experience since the place has 4 stars. First of all, if I wanted to eat someplace with tons of flies I would actually go to Mexico. Nothing against Mexico, I am part Mexican but I am in USA and we don't appreciate that much authenticity. One flie maybe I can deal with but I was shooing all through breakfast. Anyway, got menudo which was overpriced for just a tiny bowl. Hominy was overcooked and broth was just wrong...! Anyway, I will give 1 star for the tortilla girl and her tortillas.
