Fantastic breakfast. Fresh fruit, real whipped cream, great comfortable lively vibe inside. Very friendly staff.

La Parada is a lovely breakfast spot! Absolutely loved the breakfast potatoes, and my omelette was great too. After my meal I could not help myself but grab some sweet bread which I enjoyed over the course of the rest of the day; it was delicious. Our waitress was attentive too, which really made us feel at home. Thank you La Parada for the amazing food and service.

First place I see having gansito pancakes. The pancakes were sweet and tasty but what I really enjoyed were the Chilaquiles they were so tasty and delicious. They were really appetizing and really filled me up. There's still more I want to try and i will definitely return.

We went to La Parada Cafe for breakfast this morning. When we arrived at the restaurant, there were a few diners but they weren't crowded yet. The hostess greeted us promptly and easily found a table for our party of five. She took our drink orders and after delivering our drinks to the table, took our food orders: an Adobada Burrito, two Carnitas Burritos, a Chorizo Benedict and the Pancake Breakfast Platter. All the food arrived at the table in a timely manner, the portion size was generous and expertly prepared. The burritos were so humongous and hefty, it made me question my decision but in the end I had to throw in the towel because I just couldn't finish it. Our entire party enjoyed each of our entrees and ate everything with relish. Once again, the service is always welcoming and hospitable, the food was great and prices reasonable; we had another wonderful meal at La Parada Cafe.

The place was packed, so I took a seat at the bar. Omg ! What a fun and lively place for brunch!! The Bloody Mary!! Spicy deliciousness! my waitress is having a baby! Any day now!! She's working like a champ! If you come in before the 28th, which is her due date, tip, her big I did! First time here and I'm amazed at their menu! Something for everyone! From classic breakfasts to enticing Mexican food cuisine! Of course I had to try their classic eggs Benedict, so far I have tried pretty much every place that serves them here in Reno. Their ham on them is to die for !! The hollandaise...! Look out everyone else!! And the garnish! So Pretty !! Next time I come, and I WILL come back, I'm going to get a little adventurous and try some breakfast tacos !! Yep! They have those too !!

Tried this place out today. Unfortunately, it was not great for me. The services great. The waitress was very nice and attentive. The location is really cute! However the food was not that great. Well, except for the beans, they were amazing! The tamale was a bit dry. The eggs with nopales seemed too bland. I think my biggest disappointment was the cafe de olla. I love to taste the cinnamon but in this case it was way too strong. We added sweetener and a few creamers but it still didn't taste all that good. The potatoes served for breakfast were a bit spicy so, if you don't eat spicy beware. Keep in mind I don't have a high tolerance. I would probably go back for drinks at the bar and maybe try something different just because I really appreciated the service.

First of all I would like to say that we love the staff of this place. The family is so nice and works so hard. Brought my mom here so she could get the menudo which is a weekend menu item. She really enjoyed it, and we enjoyed our meals also. I ordered something new to me, the torta. Only torta I ever had was so dry I didn't like it. But I decided to try theirs. I am so glad I did. It was big I could only eat one half, but my husband could stop eating the other half, so I didn't have any left overs. This place is so clean and inviting.

Really enjoyed the Huevos Rancheros and the Steak omelette. The refried beans were quite good. Very friendly staff and fun atmosphere. Menu is full of traditional and authentic Mexican breakfast and brunch items. Nice place to have Sunday brunch!

Came for breakfast, accidentally fell in love. I wasn't even planning on coffee, but then they said café de olla and I immediately said yes. Zero regrets. It's a must if you love good coffee. I ordered the Chilaquiles Trio (because chilaquiles are life). The chips were still a little crunchy--10/10 exactly how I like them. Rice, beans, three different salsas... chef's kiss. Totally worth it. My husband ordered the menudo (he's serious about his menudo), and even he approved. Flavorful, comforting, and paired with homemade tortillas, which automatically makes everything better. The best part? It's family-owned--mom cooking in the back, dad running the front, and everyone is super friendly. We love supporting local spots like this, and La Parada Café is officially on our "must return" list. Come hungry. Leave happy.

Breakfast dates are probably my favorite when I am allowed to slow down on my weekend. I was treated to breakfast yesterday here. I have had this locally owned joint on my list for some time and took advantage since we were nearby. They were busy, so we took a second to look at their menu before being seated and we loved their decor and ambiance. It reminded me of my times in Mexico when we'd stumble across a hole in the wall establishment where we knew the food would be authentic. It felt homey and Andrea was welcoming from our first greeting. She was also the hostess. The Staff here as a whole was great. The only downside was their prices were higher for breakfast and their plates were lacking. Food to price ratio didn't match for us. I ordered the Azteca breakfast and my love had their carnitas tacos then ordered a carne asada burrito because he was still hungry. We placed two orders of waffles to-go; one waffle breakfast $17.25 and a Belgium waffle for $16.25. The waffle breakfast is definitely a better deal with an egg and two slices of bacon for a dollar more. My food was delicious, but their plates were more like an appetizer. Their seafood looked delicious, but I can't justify spending almost $30 for soup. I'll make my own 7mares at home. Thank you Andrea for the hospitality, you were great.

Never would've known this place existed unless someone told me about it. There's street parking and also they have a small parking lot in the rear of the restaurant. Just follow the signs. The inside is decorated with plants and paintings all over. It felt like I walked into someone's home instead of a restaurant. It was so cozy and the service was friendly. Came in for brunch/lunch and was surprised the place was packed. Got seated at the bar and everything on the menu looked delicious. Started off with their cafe de olla. The coffee was so aromatic. I was told it was infused with cinnamon and other spices. For entrees, I got the grilled Mexican steak with a choice of corn or flour tortillas and the deluxe pancakes with sausages. The food was delicious and the portions were huge.

I kept seeing this restaurant all over social media, so I figured I'd check it out while visiting Reno. The service was good, when we arrived, we were seated and served quickly. Overall, the food was good, but I'd say it was average. The café de olla was delicious, and the Gansito pancakes were definitely a fun and tasty treat. The protein bowl was also flavorful and satisfying. The only disappointment was the chicken fried steak, it had more batter than meat, so it wasn't quite what I was expecting. It was a decent experience.

Until this 4th of July weekend (250/2026) we had never heard of Archie's. It was recommended to us and we stopped in on Sunday the 5th for lunch on our way out of town. What an amazing choice. I ordered their bacon cheese burger. Guess what? It was GIANT. It was delicious. It was perfect. Comes with fries but I got onion rings. The onion rings were perfect too. Largest order of rings I have ever seen. The burger (1/2 Lb I think!!) had nice thick bacon in every bite, two large and fresh slices of tomato, a big old slab of an onion slice, mayo and lettuce. I can't remember if there were pickles. It was the best burger and onion rings I have eaten in at least ten years, maybe 20. We will be back, EVERY time we are in town from now on. I can't recommend this place enough. Special shout out to David, our server. This guy made no mistakes. Laughed at all my stupid dad jokes, was attentive, patient while my companions changed their minds 36 times, and was friendly too. Says it was only his 2nd day on the job, but I wish he had been working for us at our restaurant (Hokkaido Noodle House) in Sacramento. He is a pro already, give him reasons to keep working for you boss. Don't worry, we won't steal him from you, we are retired and closed our joint 10 years ago. Rock on Archie's! I haven't eaten breakfast there but the burger I'd put in the top 4 in Reno. It is giant diameter wise but the meat is the same amount of a smaller thicker burger which makes it no too hard to eat. I'd call this a Purist's Burger. Crisp lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, mustard, sauce. They went really light on the sauce to the point I didn't think it had any. Fries were excellent too. Price is very reasonable (that's typical near a college.) I've tried Royce, Juicy's, and The Parlor. I'd put Archies below Royce and Parlor but above Juicy's. Two left on my list are Armando & Son's Butcher Shop and of course Beefy's.

Our family of 8 arrived here to a line that only continued to build. The line exited the building and began to wrap alongside the building. Seating here is first come first serve and are only designated by staff. Saving tables and sitting down prior to placing an order is a big no-no. BUT!! That didn't stop others from doing this anyhow. Let me start off by saying how chaotic this place is. This began from the initial line up to order and continued throughout the meal. Staff seemed flustered, overwhelmed, and moody. I'm not sure if the vibe of our visit would be considered "normal" to the staff and regulars but from my perspective looking in, it just seemed uncomfortably unorganized. As a forewarning to those who have never visited this establishment before, do your research and try to decide on what you would like to order prior to reaching the register area. Being prepared assists in quicker lines and you avoid looks of annoyance overall. Our family ordered a bunch of stuff: *THE REGGIE- hold the cheese & gravy *BLUEBERRY CORNMEAL PANCAKE - single *CORNMEAL PANCAKE- single *BUILD YOUR OWN BISCUIT - bacon, sausage, egg *Side order of EGG *Side order of BACON x2 *CHICKEN FRIED STEAK PLATE w/ BISCUIT *HASH BROWN, 2EGGS, + BACON *THE MONEYBALL *BEIGNETS Food came out at all different times. It was just unfortunate how one child in particular's meal came out at the very end when everyone was pretty much done with eating. The female staffer who brought over the dishes dropped plates on the table before scurrying off. At first I thought it was just a random occurrence but when it consistently happened, there was no way to justify that kind of service. Food was doable. The whole hype over Pine State Biscuits was simply that- JUST HYPE. The dining experience overall and vibe of the eatery was just not my scene. Kudos to those who genuinely enjoy the establishment but I'm gonna have to pass. I wouldn't openly waste my time or calories here.

She barely let me speak, she interrupted, wasn't answering my actual question about what kind of toaster they used and what grill the bread is heated on, etc because she wanted to repeat the existence of cross contact. Good lord. I was one second away from walking out. She was a really piece of work. She then upped the "nice" factor to call me sweetie the rest of the meal which makes me want to crawl out of my skin. Honestly, I am very flexible, I think this place may be better than my first impression but this server needs to be retrained to LISTEN to the customer and answer questions and not just make it an effort to drive people out. This is a few minutes of her time, and I have to live my entire life like this without treatment until I die, so a little kindness and active listening is really a minimal effort for a few minutes every now and then. 3 stars is generous.
