Midorita, Coronita
Mai A.

Hidden gem! They have the best margaritas, coming back soon just for this Midorita! Mole enchiladas were good, but GET THEIR QUESO!! Literally my favorite queso ever, I'm addicted. Staff was nice as well, definitely not a nice sit down but perfect for a late night dinner and drinks with fast service.

This soup!! INCREDIBLE!! Highly recommend if you feel like you're coming down with something or just need to warm up. Soooo good with all the toppings. Can't recommend this place enough. So. Good!!! Azteca tacos are also out of this world. Highly recommend for catering as well! 10/10!!

Huevos con chorizo, queso, and chicken fajitas

Had never been to this little restaurant in a strip mall off Ogden, but they had some good food! We started with the "cheese dip" (queso): very thin and runny but yummy, with some tasty tortilla chips to go with. They also gave us several salsas. For my entree, I got chicken fajitas; never had fajitas with corn tortillas before, wish I had been given the choice of flour but otherwise they were good, and plenty of leftovers. My friend got huevos con chorizo (they have a little brunch menu with some egg options). I love that they had guava Jarritos, which can be difficult to find! Our waiter was very nice; at the time we went on a Saturday it was just us in the restaurant. Overall, a good choice for Mexican standards in Lisle.

Upon entering. It was beautiful. We found this hidden gem on Google! So it was empty but the waiter was prepared! She immediately assisted us. The place was beautiful it was well decorated so of course I took photos! If you are ever in Chicago, you must try this hidden gem it does not fail! It was soooo good and you get full off of what you order. I got the entraña la parilla and still took food home! Well done!

Jarritos With Chips And The Vegetariano Tacos

A small cantina for drinks and tacos that are tiny as fuck. It has those tiny tacos you can eat in a few bites or less. La Parrilla is very authentic compared to most of these Mexican places but it's friendly to Americans it seems. Has good drinks like Mexican beer and pop to choose. The food is very cheap but not like it's the worst. Had a good date with some good Mexican drinks and food. It looks a little sketchy but it's clean enough to dine in. They have the favorite Mexican pop Jarritos. It's $2 a bottle. They also have beer but we didn't see this on the menu until after we were almost finished. Maybe next time but the food was average. We got the Vegetariano Tacos. It's $2.59 each. These come with cilantro and onions. Classic toppings and that's how they're authentic. This also comes with free chips and salsa which should be the case anyway like at any Mexican restaurant but I still appreciate it. Cool thing about this place is there's lots of authentic stuff but it could be better. It has margaritas too but we didn't know this until it was too late as it wasn't on the big menu over the counter. The tacos are okay but they're small and you have to order lots of these.

Enchiladas... steak with mole.
Gary C.

I hadn't been here for many years, but remembered their food was legit. I was Jonesing for Mexican food and checked out their website and reviews. Typically I'm a taco guy. It gives me a familiar way to measure against other places, but I wasn't in a taco mood. After reading the reviews I'd decided I needed to try the enchiladas with mole. Another review mentioned amazing tamales, and I hadn't had a tamale in ages. It only appeared on the menu as a dinner with 3. Figured they're probably small, and I was famished anyway. (Turns out they are pretty huge) The enchiladas elicited at least four "oh man!" as I scarfed them down. When I wanted a bit of heat, I dipped a forkful into the red salsa they included with the order. The mole sauce is outstanding! Similarly, the one tamale I tried elicited two "wow!". .Even the refried beans that came with the dinner tasted amazing. All in all this translated into a 5 star review. Oh, and my order was to go, but I live 5 minutes away. YMMV.

Tacos al carbon.

Tacos el carbon! Real steak with real flavor. Nice clean place to eat with good service. Highly recommended.

AMAZING food. I'm from SoCal and this is my first meal I've had in the Chicago area. The rice is delicious and so is my sope. 10/10!

Best Mexican food in the western suburbs. Fresh, mild to spicy and delicious. The owner waits on table and makes sure everything is perfect.

We were told they were unable to seat us due to upcoming reservations, and no alternative options were initially offered. The suggested a high table near the bar but we had a small child with us. We asked if we could wait, and although there was some hesitation, we were placed on a waitlist. After waiting for a while with no movement, we decided to try the restaurant next door. They were busy but seated us right away. Dinner at Ike and Oak was delicious! As we left, the restaurant was still largely empty. It felt like a missed opportunity -- we were ready to dine and support a new local business, and likely would have been in and out well before many of the anticipated reservations arrived. Unfortunately, the experience left us choosing another place to give our business too. Customer service is so important when there are so many places to give your business to.

The margaritas were nice, good flavor and generous pour. I embraced fish Fridays and I really enjoyed the crispy fish taco! So flaky and really flavorful! So often fish tacos can be bland and this one was delicious. I also liked the Baja shrimp taco topped with juicy pineapple. The rice and bean were a little too salty/seasoned for me (this is a hot take because my husband loved them so to each their own)! Our server was very nice and attentive and we were happy to take home some leftovers! CHIP ALERT! All Mexican restaurants should have an awesome chips and salsa and Lima Fresca did not disappoint here! I could have eaten the whole basket of salty, crispy chips on my own with a rich and smoky salsa.

Taco Dale, it's good to see Mexicans eating there and getting takeout orders. I ordered the milanesa platter and one al pastor taco. My girlfriend ordered the taco salad. Service was very friendly and the place was clean. Prices were fair for what you get. I first ate the al pastor taco. I loved how they were generous with meat. Before I put any sauce on it, the meat was well seasoned. I got milanesa with breaded chicken. The breaded chicken was very tasty. The platter comes with some flour tortillas that you can make tacos. You'll definitely be full after eating this. I recommend getting the horchata or jamaica drinks.
