We LOVE the food at LaPiazza - we order often for pick-up and eat in too. All their dishes so far have been great. The Square Pie is a little thick for our tastes but the other special pies are fantastic. They have some of the best soups around too. Parking can be dicey (Park next door at the Church or in town and walk over) and it gets crowded and when it is it sounds loud inside as high ceilings but that's minor and worth it for the food. read more

My husband and I had a friend in town visiting and we wanted to find a good place to get pizza. We had never been to Allentown, and instantly fell in love with the historic charm. As we approached La Piazza, we knew there was no way we were going to be able to park in their parking lot as it was packed full, so we drove down the street a little and parked in the municipal lot. Once we got to the restaurant, we went to the first door that we saw, but happened to be what looked like a banquet hall being set up for a wedding. We found the correct door and went inside. There were a significant amount of people waiting, but the hostess said our wait would be "no more than ten minutes". We noticed that to the right there was restaurant seating, both tables and booths, and to the left there was a counter with pizza and more booths. The hostess didn't tell us that if we chose to we could have sat in the area on the left, which disappointed us because most of the booths were open and we noticed people being served the same food being served in the restaurant just as we were being seated. It took over five minutes for our server to come to our table to ask what we would like to drink, and then another five minutes for someone to bring our waters out. Sometime later, our server came by again and took our appetizer and pizza order. Shortly after ordering we were brought out a basket with warm rolls and a small dish with spices in it. There was olive oil already on the table which you pour into the spices, I thought that was really cool. We really enjoyed the bread and olive oil. We decided to start with the "rice balls special" which was three rice balls with tomato sauce and ricotta. It took about 20 minutes for the rice balls to come out, but I have to say that they were delicious - my one thought about it was that the put ice cold ricotta on top of the rice balls that were hot, so it was a really weird juxtaposition. I think it would have been even better if the ricotta was warmed just a little. My husband and our friend's pizza came out at the same time and mine came about 5 minutes later and it didn't seem to be cooked through in the middle of the pizza. We ordered three wood fire oven pizzas because our server told us they were the individual size pizzas. I think that those size pizzas would be better suited for two people to split, as we each took half of our pizza to go because there was so much left over. Our friend ordered the piazza classica (plum tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, pepperoni, onions, peppers, mushrooms, and sausage). He seemed to really like it, and his was the most flavorful and delicious of our three pizzas. My husband ordered piazza carini (chicken, sun dried tomatoes, spinach, and fresh mozzarella). He really liked his pizza, but liked the classica better. I ordered the bianca neve (ricotta, fresh mozzarella, olive oil, and fresh garlic) and I also asked them to add sausage. I was anticipating the garlic to pack a punch, but in reality I couldn't taste it at all. When I ordered sausage, I was expecting it to be a crumbled Italian sausage, but it instead looked like a shaved sausage and didn't have much by way of flavor, so unfortunately my pizza was incredibly bland. read more

The best in the area. Coming here for years and have never had a bad meal. Most recently had chicken Milanese, one of my favorites and it was absolutely fantastic. Brick oven pizza here is delicious, but a little watery compared to true Italy brick oven pizza. BYOB and great desserts to go with the yummy pizza! They also have bottle of Cream Ridge wine you can buy and have with your dinner. Haven't had any entrees here, but they always look good. read more

We came here after reading the reviews, and the restaurant truly lived up to its reputation. The service was incredibly friendly - and good. I had the Salmon Michelangelo with a salad. The house roasted pepper salad dressing was delicious - after I finished the salad, I continued to dip the bread in the dressing. The salmon was fabulous - lots of roasted garlic with the cherry tomatoes & asparagus. The marinara was also delicious. The roasted potatoes were sinfully good. The teenager says that the wood fired pizza was good. I wish we were in the area longer so that we could return. read more

Fair... Service was uncomfortably slow despite the three waiters that were on duty to tend to 5 or 6 tables in total. The pizza dough bread was good but the herbs tasted like potpourri with soybean oil so we opted for plain butter. Our meals came out and were hot but my pasta in a light pink sauce was served in a large bowl swimming so much sauce that it looked like it was soup. The vodka rigatoni was so salty that it was not edible. The soup was tasty but very rich - we could only eat less than half of the bowl. My friends chicken dish was a bit overcooked and over breaded. I think that we were more annoyed at the lack of service, the missing in action staff requiring us to get up from our table to find the waiter to bring us the bread plates we were missing or bring the cheese that we asked for 20 minutes ago... The prices were reasonable, the atmosphere was pleasant and the staff friendly however, there are much better choices for Italian food in the area. Beware that the prices on the website aren't up to date and the actual prices are higher. Also, ordered a anti pasta to go and was charged $2.00 extra for requesting it "chopped". This added cost isn't on the menu and the waitperson who took the order over the phone didn't advise me of the extra cost. We just returned from a great evening at La Piazza. We were celebrating my husband's birthday with 13 of us. I had called ahead and spoke to Nico. He said they couldn't take a reservation, but he did save the table for us, which was most appreciated, since it was a busy Saturday night. The food was wonderful and abundant! Service was great by Lily, our waitress. All our food arrived hot and together!!! We brought our own wine and beer, and glasses were provided. Also, brought our own birthday cake and Lily brought it out with candles lit and everyone sang (most patrons even joined in), and plates were provided. It was a lovely time and I would recommend this restaurant for wonderful food and a fun atmosphere. read more

a very enjoyable restaurant in a quaint little town - sometimes a bit noisy but that happens when you don't have an empty table in the place. This is not a high end restaurant but many of the entrees blow away what you can find at other restaurants. Yes it is a byob! The homemade pizza dough style rolls are served with oil and Italian spices, very tasty. The soups and salad are good, just the right starter for the plentiful meal coming. If you are someone with a food allergy, stay away from this place. My wife and I enjoy the food, but they are continually putting cheese on my wife's food, even after we ask them not to. If the choose not to care about people with allergies, then we won't care about there food. read more

My husband and I often stop in for slices to sample, dinners, lunches. I even had a bridal shower there in the specialty room. Something has drastically changed, for the worse. The sauce on the pizzas is bland, the faces behind the counter don't show pride in their work, they aren't interested in explaining the toppings and ingredients on the pies shown. The reception gals always seem to be distracted. I was so glad to see a write-up in the Asbury Press this weekend on LaPiazza in Marlboro and shall hope to capture what I am looking for there, otherewise I need a new favorite Italian brick oven pizza contender. read more

Worst place ever had my family there for dinner and the food was HORRIBLE! The waitress was rude to my wife because she is gluten free and can only have a very selected thinks to have on there over priced menu. So bad service to begin with then you can hear people arguing in the kitchen and it made my family and others feel uncomfortable. There sitting area is decent but they have a fake balcony that dust clutters on and you could see it from a mile! Then are food came out cold and not how we ordered I still tried the food they gave me and so did my wife and she had to spit it out. La Piazza is the best restaurant and offers a beautiful banquet room for holding special events. First - the food - always delicious starting with the oven-baked bread and the numerous reasonably priced entrees including various pasta dishes, chicken, veal and seafood in addition to all different types of pizza. I have NEVER had a meal that I did not like at La Piazza! The restaurant isn't very big but you feel like you are sitting in someone's home dining room eating home-cooked food. Jerry, the owner, is very hands on in terms of both the cooking and in speaking with his patrons. In April 2018 we had our wedding reception in the banquet room and the food, which was very reasonably priced, was beyond amazing. We had a little over 100 guests and the banquet room still felt very roomy. The décor of the banquet room is subtle but elegant and much larger than you would think from looking at the facility from the outside. There was more than enough room for our guests and our 5-member Jersey Sure Cats Band! We selected 3 entrees and a few appetizers which were all served family style at each of our 12 tables. The salad, the pasta dishes and the potatoes along with the entrees were so delicious, and our guests are still raving about the food and especially liked the family style servings which allowed everyone to take a taste of anything they wanted! Donna, who handles many of the events in the banquet room, was absolutely amazing - very personable, very detail-oriented and excellent for keeping us on track time-wise throughout the evening. Much to our surprise, the restaurant wrapped up all of the leftover food and gave it to us thus enabling our family to continue to enjoy the food well into the next week. Although the restaurant looks like a typical neighborhood place (which it is), the food and attention to detail deserve a 5 star rating!!!! I called here on Thursday to see if I could make a reservation for a party of 15 on Saturday night for my sons birthday. The guy on the phone said that they don't do reservations on the weekend, but to call an hour before for call ahead seating. So on Saturday I called a little before an hour, the person on the phone said they didn't do that, I was confused because I just spoke to someone two days prior. I proceed to ask for a manager, which he than keeps asking me who I spoke to so he can fire that person, but how would I know who I spoke to when all they say when they answer the phone is "hello" not even La Piazza. Than he proceed to tell me they wouldn't know how long the wait was going to be. I was left with how I was going to handle my 8 year olds birthday dinner and the 15 people that I had meeting me there. The manager did nothing for me after I was given the wrong information. I luckily was able to find somewhere else to accommodate my family for my son to have a good birthday. No thanks to La Piazza. Very disappointed over a situation that was at fault to the restaurant and having the person being fired is not the outcome that I would want, I would never want someone to lose their job over a mistake. read more

This was an excellent restaurant. My family had pasta and a salad. The pasta was 8 dollars around and the salad an extra one dollar. First, I received my drink and then the waitress gave us bread and a spice sauce to dip the bread in. I added olive oil in the spices (that made it much better). The salad was excellent and fresh with balsamic vinegar. The olives were delicious. Then, the main dish came. I received a chicken and pasta that was very light. At first, it did not look appealing, but I soon got used to the lemony tasty. Overall, excellent. If you would like to order this dish, it was the third dish down for lunches (pasta). The waitress was excellent. What did not get this place five stars was the parking situation and some areas of the store did not look appealing. Number one, parking was a disaster. There was around ten spots outside that was right next to a shed. For the poor customers who could not reach the parking spots in time, they had to parking next to a church father down the road!!! Really???!!! The outside of the restaurant it's self looked awesome. Inside, the store was split by a quick pizza stop, like a casual pizzeria, and the restaurant. For the restaurant, decor looked fake. To upscale the place, I highly recommended having white table cloths. It would really upgrade the place. It was crowded and slightly loud. Tried this on a whim after discussing with a friend that East Windsor has no great restaurants. Called in our order for two wood burning oven pizzas and one tortellini dish. Picked up everything. They gave me the wrong dish with a hot arriiabatta sauce. I called them right away and they said they would make good on it next order based on my phone number. My hubby ate the pasta and said it was really good, but it was too spicy for me. Pizzas, though, were delicious! I had the Capricciosa and he had the Originale. Both were cooked phenomenally, with a ton of toppings. The flavors were magnificent! Called back to order another time and they made good on replacing the dish from before! Ordered two new wood burned pizzas, the Piazza Classica and the Piazza Carini. Everything was delish! The tortellini was fantastic with mushrooms and prosciutto and cooked just right! The pizzas were out if this world! I'm definitely going here for dinner as the atmosphere looks great and I know the food is awesome! read more
