Spaghetti and meatballs. Nothing to brag about
    Marcia T.

First of all, the host Veronica was beautiful and so welcoming, I would go back there just to see her beautiful smile . Our server Rey was great also. The atmosphere was perfect! We sat outside giving us a front row seat to live entertainment at the Grove, it was the place to be! The food was, "meh". I kind of knew this from the yelp reviews, but we couldn't beat the great view which was also wonderful for people watching. I had the very bland crab cakes for $26. Two small, no thrills, little patties with a dull taste. My husband had the chef boy spaghetti and meatballs. Not real authentic Italian food BUT we paid for the atmosphere, which brought our total to $93! I say it was worth it because of the beautiful, kind service we had and being front and centered outside for entertainment, definitely NOT THE FOOD.

-Parking: They offer 2-hour validated parking, which is definitely a nice bonus in the area. -Service: I've been here a few times, and like most restaurants, the experience depends on your server. This visit was pleasant overall. Our waiter checked in on us throughout the meal without being overbearing, and the hostess was especially friendly and accommodating by seating us before our reservation time. Food arrived about 20 minutes after ordering, which felt reasonable. -Food: Margherita Pizza (6/10): A solid classic, but nothing that really stood out compared to other Italian restaurants. Spaghetti alle Vongole (7/10): Nicely balanced seafood flavor that wasn't too fishy. The portion had a good amount of clams, and the spaghetti was cooked perfectly al dente. Caesar Salad (6/10): Simple and refreshing. I actually liked that they went light on the dressing, and they were generous with the shaved Parmesan. Bistecchina Steak (7/10): Great portion size and appreciated that it came with roasted potatoes and a side salad. We ordered it medium-rare, but it leaned closer to rare. The chimichurri was milder than expected, and I wish the steak had a bit more seasoning, but it was still juicy and enjoyable. -Overall: While nothing completely wowed me, the food was consistently good, portions were satisfying at the price point (we paid about $40 each for a table of five), and the service made for an enjoyable meal. I'd come back if I were craving Italian food in the area.

I've been to this restaurant multiple times. The pasta was so perfectly cooked. The clams were so fresh. Our server Louis was so lovely and great to talk to. It's a cute spot!

Small piece of chicken breast on my Caesar salad was $12. Holy crap!!

Went on Saturday at 11:30 AM. Not crowded so got seated right away. Was getting annoyed that we had to wait 10 minutes before a waiter acknowledged us. I guess that's the norm nowadays?? Especially at a high-end restaurant... I guess?? We finally got a knowledge and placed our order. Great environment, beautiful restaurant and it's a perfect people watching place. Once you get past the price point, it's not too bad. My daughter and I ordered the Caesar salad and added chicken. A small piece chicken breast for my Cesar salad was $12. It was tasty but gosh, $12!!! Maybe Saturday was the day I should've turned vegetarian ‍‍‍ We also got the spaghetti carbonara and it was Very tasty. Delicious sauce and nice pieces of pancetta. my daughter and I really enjoyed it. This is definitely a place I will not go all the time. Once in a while when I'm ready to splurge.

I took my kids to the mall for some shopping and dinner at La Piazza, where our server, Raymundo, made the experience especially enjoyable. He was very attentive to my children, making sure their meals arrived quickly and even bringing drinks with lids to help prevent spills at the table. The kids ordered the shrimp pasta, and I had the lemon chicken with potatoes. Overall, the food was very good. My kids especially loved watching the water show while we enjoyed dining outside, people-watching over lemonade and champagne. It turned out to be a wonderful evening and a great dinner experience.

I honestly don't even have the words to describe our experience. At first, everything was fine--we were greeted at the entrance, shown to our table, and our order was taken. We ordered the most expensive pasta on the menu, but the mussels smelled terrible. It was disgusting--we didn't eat them at all. Luckily, they were in shells, so we just set them aside. The pizza was more like crispy bread than actual pizza. I will say the lasagna was pretty good--that's the reason I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1. A major downside was that the waiter seemed to lose interest after bringing out all the food We couldn't get his attention at all--we wanted to ask for water and mention the issue with the mussels. We won't be coming back.

    Grilled Chicken (dry and disgusting)
    Michael A.

We sat in the evening looking for a treat, and didn't check any reviews or anything, just vibing. Unfortunately, the experience was bad. The chicken in all of our dishes was overcooked, dry, and burnt. It was tough, thin, and gave us all a stomachache afterwards. We had the displeasure of paying $32+ for every single dish. The only positive is the location. But anyone with money can build a restaurant somewhere nice. If you can't cook a chicken breast without burning it, you have no business selling it to people or even being anywhere near a kitchen yourself.

Surprised at the low ratings of this great Italian restaurant at The Grove. We came in for a quick weekday dinner. The menu was classic Italian food and the wine we had was tasty. For food we had tuna tartare, arugula salad, seafood pasta and pasta with meatballs. Also creme brûlée and Lavazza coffee drinks as desserts. The food was yummy and service was excellent. It was a very relaxing Italian dinner and I think this is a great place to eat at The Grove.

Keep walking if you want a Caesar with grilled chicken. The chicken was very dry and the lettuce could've been fresher. The restaurant is cute and I like the patio. They do validate parking

Whenever I visit the Grove and I exit the parking structure, I always walk by this place and this place is almost always busy. It's in a very prime location and if you eat outside, you have a good view of the fountain area. I really don't understand the really low rating in Yelp because my experience here was really good. So I ordered a couple of items like a Pizza, Broccoli, a Spaghetti, and some cheese on top of sour dough bread variety. The food itself is pretty good. The pizza was good, smelled good, with a good crust as well. The spaghetti pasta was delicious with the meat sauce and you can tell that the spaghetti here is not like a normal store brand one. It's much thicker and chewy like fresh pasta should be. It does have a consistency of like a udon noodle though which some may or may not like. For me personally, I prefer thinner spaghetti noodles but it was an interesting twist. The broccoli was okay, it was a bit on the greasy side. The service here was great, constantly getting checked up on and my water was constantly getting refilled. The interior of the place is very nice and warm feeling. It's dimly lit and a great place for a date. The restaurant is pretty big, it has an outdoor seating, indoor seating, and also upstairs seating. So what are the down falls of the place? For one off the bat is the price. It's pretty pricey for what it is and I wish there was free bread. Most Italian places I've been to usually offer free bread with olive oil to dip and eat while you wait. The second down fall is just the wait time for food. It takes quite some time for food to appear. Overall, it's a good place to check out. It's a nice date night place along with good food. They also offer parking validation too but it's only for 2 hours.
