Worst meal I ever had. Tasted like day-old pizza, Bread from Shoprite, Freezer burnt pasta With bland veggies And no seasoning, Fake processed chicken on my chicken Caesar salad, runny, oily, Caesar dressing. Returned the salad for real chicken breast and they brought back the same salad with the same chicken. Said no thank you. And they charged me for it anyway. Asked for a manager and he was nowhere to be found. Shady, dingy, dirty, low class "pizzeria" in need of Chef Ramsy. Why charge someone only to take it off later. Did they think we wouldn't notice??? And they didn't offer any apologies for the nasty food they had the nerve to serve. Would never ever recommend this place or eat here ever again. It's a dump and a dive. I had the veal parmigiana with involtini pasta. My girlfriend had the eggplant parmesan and both were excellent! The veal was pounded thin and the rolled up pasta was stuffed with ricotta and mozzarella. The bread was served warm and the service was great! Very friendly. We took a tiramisu home and was filled with tons of mascarpone! Going back. Heard all the commercials on the radio as a kid but never dined until now. Well worth it! read more

First time customer. Impressed with the reviews and having several people over, so ordered two pasta with seafood dinners and catering for five; a lasagna and stuffed shells. Also a pound of potato salad. Everything was delicious! The complimentary bread was so fresh, and delicious. My sister loved the pats of butter. Had everything delivered. I really appreciate the time and care that went into packing everything. Catering trays were aluminum, each covered with plastic wrap, then with aluminum cover and then inside a pizza box. Both the boxes and the containers were immaculate. The rest of my order neatly placed in bags. I always notice and really appreciate this. Sorta like when dining out, I check the bathrooms. If they're kept clean then you would expect the staff cares about cleanliness and also quality. I was extremely happy with my first experience and my guests were also very pleased. read more

this is one of my favorite places to eat or order takeout from. i have been there so many times over the past years, that the owners, glenn & patti, know want i wount to order as so as i walk in. the quality is superior & fresh and there is a consistency in their food. when you have that luxury of knowing what you are going to eat, you can rest assured that even if you decide to try something new, you can count on the fact that one of the owners are always there and the staff has been at the restaurant for a long time. what is funny, is that glenn, knows what his customers like and never fails to use "cheap ingredients or lower quantity meats in his preparations. some places when you ask to have no oil, but mayo, they could care less what the client wants. i only can only state from people telling me that they have tried other places, and found out that they are getting 2nd hand food. what is the use of asking for something when the place does not listen. that is why you will always find the la pizzatega full of regulars and peoples eating in their separate restaurant when you enter. the only way to know how super their wide range of choices, is to partake of the culinary delights served each day except sunday. read more

We always love their house salad w house dressing & blackened chicken. The pizza is so good, we all agree...& that's not always easy in a family of five! The veggie subs are delicious as well. Called several times in the morning to make sure they could get my delivery to the destination on time. Was assured that the desired delivery time was no problem. They were 25 minutes late and their response was "driver was running late, he's on his way now." 15 minutes later they showed up. Tough to conduct a business meeting when everyone is hungry and frustrated. Don't care how good the food may or may not be, just unacceptable. Nobody showed any remorse. read more

I came in for lunch and ordered a Niçoise salad. It was amazing! To die for! Fresh tuna over a huge bed of lettuce and other veggies, the house dressing made it extra tasty! I told my husband about my lunch experience and he made me come back with him for dinner. I ordered shrimp Francese and I will definitely be back for it! Delicious! My husband ordered a dinner special of filet and shrimp scampi, his filet was cooked to perfection, the shrimp scampi was a large portion and just as yummy! We will definitely be back. So impressed! You are always greeted with a friendly smile and a warm welcome from everyone who works there. The food here is far better than any other restaurant around. Overall unimpressed. Started with the French onion soup. It was very dark (close to black) and while it tasted okay and had plenty of cheese, there wasn't really many onion pieces in it. It was basically broth, wet croutons, and cheese. My sister and aunt got the tortellini soup. It was nothing but a handful of tortellini dumped in chicken broth. We ordered a large pizza as our meal. It was soggy, and didn't hold it's shape when picked up like good, crisp pizza. We had two servers. The first left in the middle of serving us and another came in for her shift and immediately picked up the other's duties. It would have been nice in the first waitress had told us her shift was over and introduced us to the second one. The second waitress was a lovely blonde girl who was extremely friendly and engaged in conversation with us. read more

When I signed on yelp to write this review I read several great reviews but also some bad stuff & really can't figure those out. Everyone there was really upbeat & friendly & seemed to know all the customers by name. Melissa & Adrianna, our servers were great knowing where our priorities lied by getting our bottle of wine open right away! Fresh hot Italian bread came & it def was NOT from a grocery store. We started out w/ a filet bruschetta topped w/ fresh spinach aglio olio & it was melt in your mouth delicious. Next came homemade Navy Bean soup & house salads...more of the same. But then came our dinners...our expectations were way exceeded. We never had cheese Involtini before & loved it, especially w/ my Chicken Morengo served on top. The giant, plentiful lumps of crab in the spicy Chicken Castillo were amazing & the gnocchi w/ prosciutto & peas made the big guy reminisce about his nanny for the rest of the night. The portions were more than generous, all the ingredients fresh & the prices were more than fair. We were checked on frequently but not "smothered" & the owner introduced himself making sure everything was to our satisfaction. There was one thing that was disappointing tho...we had no room for dessert. We can't wait to go back again, & again, & again. I have to agree with David O,the place is a dive.They have an island(counter) in the middle of the new (dining area?) and its just loaded with junk/just collector/knick knacks.strange.We only dined in 1 time,then picked up food a few times after.Everyone who works there,standing behind the counter, stares all the customers down when they walk in & wait .Excited to have business maybe? I would love to share my experience with using La Pizza Tega for my most recent catering event. I mean, I already know the kind of service that they've always provided, whether I'm eating in the restaurant or when I order for delivery, but I have never seen a place give the level of service that I just experienced with them. First of all, when I ordered, glen who is the owner took the order and helped me figure out exactly what types of foods I should order and how much. He was very big on not letting me order way too much, which I would've done if he didn't help me lol. That tells you something about an owner right there. He went over everything with me 5 times to make sure it was perfect. They came the next day, set up everything they needed, which looked very classy by the way, and then brought all of the food at the perfect time. Everything stayed perfect temperature whether it was hot or cold. I had people calling me the next day to ask where the food was from, I had people telling me that the people who brought the food were so nice and personable. Then they came back, picked up all the equipment and cleaned up. They offered to have someone stay the whole time but I liked having people just get what they wanted. But I did not have to lift a finger! This place goes above and beyond. Whether you are going in to get a slice of pizza, ordering delivery or having a huge event-THEY CARE! Made reservations for 4 at 7:30. Arrived 10 minutes early. Told wait was just a few minutes. Asked at 7:40 and told 15 minute wait. 15 minutes later we were told 10 minutes more. As we waited people arrived after us and were seated before us. We were told they had a 7pm reservation. SO NOT TRUE. WE SAW THEM COME IN AFTER US. They were quickly seated at a window table. Owner said they were waiting in their car. REALLY?!?! So apparent they take care of their "regulars". After we were finally seated we waited 10 minutes for warm water. No ice. Machine was out. Waitress said ice machine can't keep up. So far not so good! We finally ordered. Chicken and rice soup for a few...good but not hot, french onion soup for orhers....tasteless and generally unedible except for the cheese. Not in a crock. Dollar store bowl with handle. No cheese on outside that...you all know....you like to pick at!! Meals come. Eggplant parm good and nice size portion. Chicken parm was fried, greasy and just not good. Our fault for not asking it to be baked. Everyone's pasta was way overcooked but sauce was fabulous. Sad that delicious sauce covers all the horribleness underneath. Will not return. read more

Hi this is my first Yelp we go out to dinner often but I do I usually Review restaurant. But I had chicken on and give this place five stars I have been here before a few times on recommendations from my friends but it was always for lunch and they do have great lunch specials. This time it was one of my friends birthday and we decided to make reservations for dinner there were six of us. We said hello beautiful round table in the dining room it was a busy Thursday night but the service was great our waitress was friendly and quick. We all order different things for dinner and all of the dinners came with your choice of soup or salad I had the homemade navy bean soup it was outstanding my friends had Caesar salad and really enjoyed it. Few minutes after we're done with our soup and salad or dinners arrived everything was perfect. I had the stuffed flounder the fish was very fresh and taste one of my friends had the homemade pasta involtini she said it was incredible my husband had the view said it was the best he had ever had in his life. Thank you to the staff at love you to take her for a great meal we will definitely be back and tell all of her friends how good it was read more
