Planned to eat at the TacoTime of my youth, but was surprised to see it gone and replaced with "La Posada". Was initially put off by the sit down restaurants, so it had a healthy price above most hole-in-the-wall authentic restaurants (and there are A LOT of those in Central Oregon. Loving Mar y Terra plates, I covered my eyes and ordered the $10 M & T burrito, worried about being upset about the most expensive solo burrito I have ever purchased. It was DELICIOUS! Easily the place I will go right to if I need fast food in Redmond. Wow! And the pepper sauce was good, fresh, and very hot. Lightweights beware. I used to enjoy la posada. When I went there in the past I would get three rolled tacos. They were always nice and fat and full of meat and very satisfying. I went there today and got my favorite. Three rolled tacos. First thing I noticed was the tray was very light. I open it up and the tacos were so skinny. As I ate the tacos I noticed that I couldn't taste the meat. I looked into it and saw that it is mostly rolled tortilla and very little meat. Sad and disappointed that they are skimping. Charging more and giving less. I hope this changes. read more

This place was a life saver many nights when we came through late after a great day of fishing. Most of their food has been excellent - my favorite is the carnitas nachos. Unless you are Paul Bunyan, get the 1/2 order. Their carnitas are crispy and wonderful. My partner really likes their burritos. The sopes and a plate meal or two we've ordered have been okay, not spectacular, but the price, the service, and the convenience have more than made up for it. We did have one hilarious night there where there was a sign on the door "Closing early at 10". We were there at 9:21, and this is a fast food joint, so no big deal, right? We walked up to the counter and the lady grimaced at us and said "We're closing at 10" and only took our order when we insisted, lol, then brought it out in to-go boxes despite our clear intentions to sit down and eat. She proceeded to lock the doors at 9:35, so that the ~8 of us still in the restaurant were locked in and had to be let out one by one. It was more funny than anything. Every time I go here I seem to have a slightly worse visit than the time before. Their food isn't bad at all but their service needs some work. The cashiers often seem annoyed to be bothered which makes me feel bad. Their taco salads are good but their quesadilla with sour cream and guacamole was mixed into the quesadilla not on top... that's probably the "American" speaking but I had never seen that before, sadly it made the quesadilla impossible to eat and soggy. read more

My family has been eating at this taco shop for about 9 years, long before they moved to their current location. We finally gave up on this dump. The food was generally ok except for the time some idiot made the horchata with salt instead of sugar! The main issue here is that they consistantly overcharge from the prices on their menu. When I say consistent, I mean EVERY time we ordered here. If you catch it they always make up some excuse and correct it. Very dishonest pricing. And don't think about going through the drive thru with your debit or credit card. Stopped once in the morning for a breakfast burrito and the guy disappeared for over 5 minutes with my card. Just picked up some quick, authentic, Mexican food from La Posada in Redmond on the way home from work tonight. My five delicious, crisp rolled tacos were covered with melted cheese and smothered in fresh salsa and guacamole and my husband's steak and prawn burrito was HUGE! My super picky, teenaged son absolutely LOVED the carne asada fries with marinated beef and all the toppings. He said they were "the BOMB!" I love this little restaurant! They have amazing tacos and breakfast burritos. If you go inside instead of though the drive thru, they have a salsa bar and grilled peppers and onions available. The prices are reasonable and the people are always friendly. UPDATE: The last two times I have gone through the drive thru, the intercoms have been off and I have had to go inside. Not a big deal, but doesn't make for such a timely experience, esp when I'm on my way to work. Food is still great. read more

The staff has been helpful answering questions about menu items I'm unfamiliar with which has really expanded my horizon on Mexican cuisine. Took my Mom for lunch after church. The snow is a hazard..but the business could do MUCH more to ensure the safety of their patrons. Mom had a #14-enchilada and relleno. So much sauce on her food she couldn't tell which was which and she described her relleno as a "piece of leather". It was tepid and served on a cold plate. The only reason I used to go here is because theres not much selection in this city. The tacos are alright but u have to specify which tacos you want. They have the big nasty ones and the tj style ones are good. Anyways the order taker is rude and sometimes charges for the wrong tacos. The cheese on the nachos is never melted. Bf learned to ask for it to be melted in spanish, still never is. And the service here is just bad, they seem pissed that you are there. Today I asked if they had a chimichanga without meat. Reply was a very curt, snotty "Not really." Wtf!? Is that a no, then? She didn't have to be rude and act like I was being dumb for asking, so I decided to drive away. Pretty sad. Went on a Saturday. There were a few other families that cleared out by the time we got our food. Finding a cleanish table was a challenge, everything appeared dirty. The fish tacos were very disappointing. If I had wanted a fish stick taco, I would have stayed home. My wife had a carne asada tostada and a adobada taco. She was dismayed with the Orange "cheddar" cheese on the tostada and no cilantro on her taco. The salsa bar left something to be desired, no real hot sauces. The pickled carrots were edible, but seemed like they had been sitting out a long time. The tacos come with 2 corn tortillas ( authentically Mexican), but the restaurant does not make its tortillas, which tasted stale. We left over 3/4 of our meals because it was so unappetizing and we were concerned about kitchen cleanliness.This is definitely not real Mexican food, not sure that it is even Americanized Mexican food. Despite mostly good Yelp reviews, we recommend trying another restaurant. read more
