Initially I was willing to give them the benefit of the doubt, but after reading others experiences with this company I can see that my trust was misplaced. Preface: I ordered a rustic black left side swingarm bag for my 1998 Springer Softail with the order placed on March 11, 2025. I received the bag a little over 1 month later. In all honesty, other than lack of communication about shipment, I feel that is a reasonable amount of time from order to delivery with no major concerns. The problem arose upon receiving the bag. The Issue: The bag I received was not black. It is very clearly brown. Moreover, the cut of the bag's lid and the buckles are not the same as in the photos (didn't bother me, but is just blatantly false advertising). The following email chain is my interaction with La Rosa from beginning to end upon receiving the bag. Me: I ordered a rustic black swingarm bag from you guys a while back and it arrived today. Problem is...well...you guys sent me a brown one. I wanted to see about getting it exchanged for the rustic black as originally intended. The wrapping around the bag has been opened because I couldn't really tell the shade through the bag. However, none of the plastic wrapping on the bottle or the filler in the bag has been removed and it has not been mounted to my bike either. I have attached images of both the order info as well as the received bag for your convenience, please get back to me as soon as you are able. Sal: Can you send a photo the bag you received? Rustic black does have a lot of brown tones. We may just need to add more oil protection. Me: I attached a photo of the bag to my initial email. But I will attach it again. Don: Ok,, That is the color of our rustic black, the rustic brown is a lot lighter. I would suggest two thing. Mink oil will darken up the bag a lot, or its always safe just to go with a black bag. Me: Hmm, interesting, the pictures on the website don't really do a great job at conveying that. I have attached the photos for the Rustic Black and Rustic Brown bags straight from the website. And I would personally say it looks MUCH closer to the coloring of the Rustic Brown rather than Rustic Black. I'm not trying to be rude, but respectfully, there is almost no shade dark enough to be considered black on this bag at all. Sal: Sure, understand, so again, I would suggest a solid black bag or send it back to us and we will treat if for you and also send the mink oil for you. Me: Okay, and if I send it back to you guys to be treated, would you guys pay for the shipping? ***4 days of no response*** Me: Just making sure you received my previous email. If I return it to you all, will you pay for the shipping? It has at this point in time been almost a week of no response. Verdict: Seeing as this company is okay with telling you that essentially your eyes don't work and that this obviously brown bag is actually black, in clear conflict with THEIR OWN WEBSITE MARKETING...I gotta say, save yourself the trouble. Especially since the solution to my problem isn't them owning up and accepting responsibility. Instead it is "pUt mINk OiL oN iT OR oRdER a bLAcK bAg". Awful customer service. The bag showed up with all kinds of cuts scuffs and abrasions , it looks like they kicked it across the parking lot. When they finally returned my email they told me I should oil it to solve the scuffs. Totally ignoring the deep cuts in the bag. I got the phone number for la Rosa called them no answer so I kept calling throughout the day till someone answered. I was told that it's untreated leather and if the animal it came from had a cut when the skin was processed it will stay on the bag. That sounds like nonsense but what ever. They said they would return the bag and send me a shipping label. I'm 5 days in still no return label emailed them asking they didn't respond called no answer left a message no response. I purchased a motorcycle seat and it never arrived. UPS tracking shows as delivered but it wasn't. I sent initial email to LaRosa design and no reply, i waited a couple of weeks and emailed again and finally received a reply but definitely not a nice one. Whom ever has been communicating with me via email has been very unprofessional rude and is basically refusing to help in any way. At some point it seems like maybe someone different had replied because i got an apology and they said they would send another seat. However when i replied stating that I already had a seat made locally i got the reply "good for you" Now the last response i received was "call UPS they know where it is" I purchased from La Rosa so its La Rosas responsibility to help me and then they can take it up with UPS not me. Its always the senders responsibility to pursue claims with shipping companies not the recipient, I didn't hire UPS La Rosa did. Im simply seeking a full refund for the missing purchase. Compared to all the other made in Pakistan and OEM HD stuff (not terrible quality just nothing super special to me) I was pleased with my purchase when it arrived sooner than expected, well packed and exactly as advertised. They must have really stepped up their game since all these other pitiful one star reviews. I was so pleased I ordered a matching fork bag. I ordered a pillion pad for my Ironhead Sportster and had to return it because the holes didn't match up with the holes in my fender. My return was delivered weeks ago and I still haven't received a refund. I've tried emailing several times, with no response, and have also tried the online chat. The customer service is horrible, and if you have to exchange or get a refund, your SOL. I bought a seat from Mother Road Customs and I'll be getting my pillion pad from them too. Ordered a seat for my Shovelhead, and before I did I asked if I ordered, when would it ship. Was told 2 weeks. That was early August. End of August I inquired about my order and the reply was that they've been really busy but it would ship mid to late the following week. Here it is the end of September and I've called, emailed, tried their "chat" and no one will respond. They have $515.98 of my money. I wish there was a rating of "less than 1 star". I'm mad at myself for not having vetted this company before making my purchase. I will never purchase from them ever again and I hope others don't make the same mistake. I purchased a motorcycle saddle bag. La Rosa charged me immediately, but then took 3 weeks to ship the item - with no updates or indication of any type regarding when I would get the item. I was unable to get in contact with anyone via email or phone. The only means of communication is via chat. I was able to speak with Dora, who apologized for the delay and said they were "very busy". But she did manage to get the bag out to me. But the bag was missing the leather attachment straps, so I couldn't use the bag. I then waited another 5 days for the straps. It turned out the bag did not fit my bike even though La Rosa advertised it as being made specifically for my make/model motorcycle. I returned the bag to them and after telling me that I can get a refund, I still haven't gotten my refund after 6 weeks! After repeated attempts to chat, and extremely rude comments by "Frisco" on the chat, he told me that there's an issue with my PayPal account. Well, I didn't use PayPal to pay for the item - I used a credit card. But Frisco didn't care, he just seemed to make up stuff (there's an issue with your name, there's an issue with your phone number, etc.). When I called him out on each one, he would just say I don't want you to argue with me and tell me "this is the end of the discussion" and end the chat. I ended up putting the charge in dispute with my credit card company. I came to find out that there have been multiple disputes for this company. So clearly there's something shady going on. It appears that they may be a struggling operation and don't really have a real customer service attitude or concern. Trust me, do not purchase items from this company. No one answers the phone and the voice mail box is full. the online chat gets dropped or an incomplete answer is given. I cant get an order number because they don't use them on phone orders. I was given a side bag for my Harley Dyna by a group of friends to celebrate my return from overseas. I had sold the bike and bought a new Softtail that this bag doesn't fit on. I DO NOT have the receipt and I just cannot go back and ask who it was that bought it. The bag is BRAND NEW and never used and I only asked to exchange it. I sent 5 pics of the bag to them to prove its untouched. I've explained the problem and now there's no response from them. I really do not think I'm being unreasonable. I rated LaRosa Design with 5 stars last year, based on righting a wrong. Unfortunately, I must now join the ranks of Ryan, Julian and Derek. On Wednesday morning (2May18), I started a chat with Don to order 3 additional pieces in Rustic Leather/cross stitch: Tank Bib, Fender Bib and left side saddlebag. The bibs would need to be modified, and the 3 pieces would need to be cut out of the same piece of leather. He said it wouldn't match the seat I purchased last year. Because of the nature of the Rustic Brown, I said the 3 pieces could still work. There was a long pause, until I asked if he was still there. He came back a bit later to say he was helping other customers. I apologized then continued to ask my questions about having them made. Another very long pause followed (almost 5 minutes). He apparently walked away from the chat in mid-stream, passing me off to Dora. We seemed to have had a good working relationship after last year's issues were resolved, so I asked her about the pieces. She said to e-mail her the specs for the pieces I wanted and she would let me know how much it would cost and turn-around time. Here we are on the 3rd Day with no contact (email or phone). I left 2 phone messages; one yesterday to confirm she got the email/information...nothing back (she used to do her follow-up calls near the end of the day). This a.m. was the second call when I expressed my aggravation for all the rudeness from Don, and her non-responsiveness, ending the call with a request that if they don't want to do business with me, at least have the courtesy to tell me so, or tell me to scr** off. I know LaRosa's "important clients are places like Amazon, Revzilla etc...large corporations. However, if a company is going to offer retail sales/service, then they need to treat individuals with more respect. FYI: The bike build was supposed to be the test piece for future business with them, which I told LaRosa last year. The seat/hardware issue was resolved, but at the cost of my losing the sale...the buyer didn't want to wait the extra time. Instead of selling, I decided to keep the bike, and complete the detailing with a full line of LaRosa's products (seat, saddlebag, tank bib and fender bib (possibly a tool bag) to match "as closely as possible", then show it as an example of the work I do, and a showcase for their product line. I had 2 more bike builds lined up after this one. Being a DAV on fixed income, I hand build one bike at a time...no 2 alike (I won't make copies, only originals). Decades ago when I first got into fabrications, I was told by a very wise mentor: "The best way to determine a company's worth is to make your first order a small one. How you are treated will only be magnified with larger orders. Better to be out a little, than a lot. Even if they're busy, they will still try to accommodate because every small order is potentially a future company and expanded sales." I think LaRosa is under-staffed and overwhelmed, in which case they should not be selling retail. Retail sales requires timeliness, courtesy and respect to the customer. read more

The bad part, I ordered a bracket for 2007 xl883, it has the ECM on the fender, they sent me the bracket that I needed for that year, It does not fit! The customer service is horrible. You call get a recording to leave a message, mailbox is full! The chat thing is a joke, they ask you to leave a message along with your e-mail, they don't respond At this point I want a refund! Purchased a swing arm bag for my Triumph. 1 week in and the product started to fall apart, the fabric was separating from the backing. I emailed the company and was sent a return shipping label. My return was delivered to the company on 3/23, I emailed on 4/1, 4/6, and 4/22 with no response. I made a purchase for throw over saddle bags. It took 16 days to get the bags. The color was not like advertised and when you touched the bags your hands would turn black. The coloring was flaking off all over the bags. Overall they were a very poor grade of merchandise. I contacted them and they sent me a label to return them. UPS delivered them on January 11, 2018. It has been 20 days so far and I am still getting the run around about when I can expect a refund. I would never tell anyone to buy from this company. I have everything documented and I have printed off all conversations from the chat area and I am filling a complaint with the attorney general tomorrow. This company is a joke. I ordered a bag, which they evidently don't make anymore. The day after I made the order and got a shipping conformation the link was gone. I got my package only to open it up to a completely different side bag I did not order. On top of that, I emailed asking what gives and they got pissy with me. Instead of informing me my original order cannot be completed and ask if I wanted to be upgraded, or to cancel my order, or even a single apology in the process, they sent some other bag that I had not ordered. This brings me to my next gripe. They received my return three weeks ago, I've been emailing and calling getting different answers each time about where the status is. Best part is today I called complaining, the third time calling, and a return was initiated, but not what I originally paid! They didn't even return my full amount! Ordered a seat 4 weeks ago and Still have yet to receive the seat. As far as I know currently the seat still has yet to ship. I received no update on the seat after two weeks so I used the chat feature on the website and was told it would ship early on the the third week. At the end of the third week I followed up using the same feature inquiring what was going on with the seat and was told that it would ship later into the fourth week. When I told them that they said the same thing the previous week I was told "Well I hope I don't have to tell you the same thing next week." I'm completely baffled by the unprofessionalism and lack of organization and communication. I ordered a seat for my 2006 Harley. Wrong base plate sent. I tried for almost 2 weeks to contact LaRosa. Never could through normal avenues. I finally contacted them through a chat feature on their sales website (they were ready to sell me sonething) When I told them my issue, the customer service agent was extremely rude and condescending. I was told I should have ordered a 2007 seat for my 2006 bike and should have known better!? Even though I confirmed the seat fit with their own agent before ordering. The agent told me to send pictures and he would review them that afternoon. He then simply ended the chat with no further explanation. It's been a week and I've heard nothing. His name was "Frisco". At this point I'm simply out the price of the seat and will try to sell it on ebay to recoup my loss. This company may have been great at one time but they are terrible now. No customer service and one lie after another (if you can contact them). They'll take your money quickly but at that point the transaction is over. The bike community is learning this as I have heard many similar stories. Word to fellow bikers, avoid Larosa and buy your bike accessories elsewhere. read more

If I could give less stars i would. Ordered a seat and mounting bracket. Took a week to ship out and a week to arrive. Once arrived I immediately sent back due to the poor construction and assembly of the mounting bracket. Seat seemed to be ok but I never tried it. I had to pay $40 to send the item back. It's now been almost a month waiting for my refund. Can rarely get someone to answer a phone call or email. I have been told 3 different dates I will have it and each one passes with no refund. Horrible customer service. I will never use this company again and will tell everyone who listens to stay far away. read more
