    sisig, kalderetang kambing
    Mutya B.

The place is at the corner of what looks like a deserted square on S Glendora blvd... and it made me nervous that the place was empty, but open til 9pm. It's a large-ish space, and I guess kind of like a sit-down place (not "turo-turo/cafeteria style like some Filipino joints), with a ton of Filipino snacks on the counter. Plenty of seats that have seen better days. A portion of the restaurant is covered in plastic to house some construction equipment ? I asked for the pork sisig ala carte and decided to add an order of kalderetang kambing and 2c of rice. Big mistake buying more than one entree when you are taking it home and have no clue how their food tastes. I trusted Yelp too much. . Sisig had a 1:1 ratio of meat to bell peppers. I also couldn't help but feel lile the peppers were undercooked, even raw. Maybe that was their style, but I also disliked the mayo on top. Now the kalderetang kambing had a strange fishy (gamey) smell in the car. When I tried it at home, the meat looked so red and tasted way too sweet, not at all like the Kalderetas I'm used to back home. The meat was falling off the bone soft though. This is my problem with Filipino restaurants in the US - if they can't make dishes better tasting than what I make at home (i rarely cook but im a good eater), I cannot rate them high at all. I've eaten too much Filipino food in my life to know what tastes good. I feel bad because the folks who work here/(owners?) are pretty nice and they were working on Valentines. But the current rating they have is misleading. If you're going for the big entrees like I did, and are used to Gerry's Grill type sisig, prepare to be disappointed. Yelp, you did not come thru for me this time.

Pang Inasal -- We're writing this as constructive criticism in hopes it helps improve the experience. We came in genuinely excited to try the food but unfortunately left disappointed. We ordered the chicken inasal, and it was surprisingly bland. The flavor just wasn't there unless you heavily smothered it in chicken oil. Even then, it didn't feel particularly fresh, which was disappointing given that we visited around lunchtime and expected freshly cooked food. The sisilog was even more problematic. My first bite was a complete turnoff--it was tough to the point that I genuinely thought I had bitten into a bone. The meat was dry and largely flavorless. I've had sisig countless times--home-cooked, in restaurants around SoCal, and in the Philippines--and this one simply tasted off. It didn't taste fresh, and it lacked the savory depth sisig is known for. Even the garlic rice, while fluffy, didn't carry that signature garlicky punch. It felt more aromatic than flavorful. We also attempted to order the coconut slushee, but were told it was unavailable or no longer good, which was confusing. We were advised to just get a can of soda instead. Customer service wasn't particularly pleasant either, with the exception of the younger gentleman who brought our food out--he was courteous and the only bright spot in the service experience. As for the ambiance, it's very plain. It honestly felt more like a storage space than a restaurant, with boxes blocking the sunlight from coming in. The overall atmosphere didn't feel inviting. It's rare for us to be this critical of cooking, but this just wasn't it. Given our experience, we highly doubt we'll be returning. We hope improvements can be made, because we genuinely wanted to enjoy this meal.

Came for breakfast. Plenty of choices for Filipino breakfast served all day: tapsilog, tocilog, cornilog, sisilog. Also other traditional dishes that I noticed on the menu: batchoy (a soup that my dad used to make so that's definitely on my list for when I come back), chicken inasal (a Bacolod specialty) and honestly I can't remember what else was on the menu because my eyes zeroed in on those 2 items. I didn't have either one but I'm saving those for my next visit. Today, I had tocilog... a traditional Filipino breakfast of Tocino (marinated fried pork), fried egg and garlic rice with tomato and cucumber as garnish. It was cooked well and we enjoyed it. There were also some condiments at the front counter: Atchara (a pickled papaya slaw) IT WAS SOOOO GOOD, bagoong (fermented fish - hey, don't knock it till you try it... it really is very good) and a 3rd choice but I can't remember what it is. Heidi took our order and said that she and her sister ran the restaurant. She was very friendly and we got to talking about the Philippines and the various foods from different regions. She was attentive and came over to our table and asked how the food was and if we needed anything else. That's great service! Thanks Heidi!!! A good amount of seating is available and the TV played videos of Filipino singers. Nice ambiance. The restaurant is well located off a busy street so lots of good exposure. There's lots of parking which is a plus for when it gets busy. We'll definitely be back!!!

Pang Inasal West Covina, CA Date went: 10/19/25 (Sunday) around 6:15pm (2 hours before closing); not busy at all, no other costumers present inside the establishment Inside: As a Filipina, I LOVE the wooden Philippines flag on the ceiling. It was slight hot, but it seems they might be working on their air conditioning as there were fans on the ground. It also seems like this location might be working on some internal and external projects regarding their building as there was a man outside possibly cleaning their windows. My boyfriend's family and I decided to take our food to go rather than eating there. Staff: Friendly, patient, and willing to be of assistance and answer questions regarding menu items. I ordered: Chicken Inasal Rating: 9/10; the chicken Inasal was so delicious, it was juicy and citrusy and quite possibly one of my favorite grilled chickens I've ever ate. It reminds me of a way better version of pollo asado. If I'm ever in the area I will definitely be coming again just for the chicken. Being that it was my first time having Filipino style chicken, it left me a GREAT first impression. My boyfriend's family ordered other items, but I did not try them so I cannot provide a rating. My chicken was still delicious after taking it back home after a 35 minute drive. Bonus: They sell discounted items on their counter, when we went there was some items that were 50% off.

This Tocilog is a popular breakfast combo and its served ALL DAY !!! Yeahhhhh!!! Pork meat was tender and had a tinge smoky sweet bacon taste and really really so delicious!!!! Hubby got the signature CHICKEN INASAL combo plate which included a leg quarter and rice with side of sliced tomatoes and cucumbers plus a can of soda!! Chicken was served smoked and grilled BBQ style!! This dish comes with unlimited rice .... So nice to know !! They sell snacks so before leaving we gotta have chicharon and Haw Flakes !!!! We got samples of the ATCHARA ( pickled grated green papaya) and their homemade Salted Shrimp Paste ( BAGOONG)!!!

Ordered chicken Inasal. Good flavor. Grilled just right. Tosilog breakfast served all day. Their own version of tocino is mild flavored Filipino hamonado. Reminds me of back home flavor I grew up with. Service good friendly and very accommodating. Ambiance is very comfortable. Came for lunch and in time for a quiet and enjoyable meal together. Will definitely Visit again.

First time trying this new Filipino spot and overall it was solid. Ordered the lechon kawali, chicken inasal, bangus inasal, and lumpia and everything was good. Both inasal dishes stood out and paired really well with the sauces and atchara. The lechon kawali was tasty. Lumpia was decent, the wrapper was a bit paler than I'm used to but still enjoyable. Food was good overall and portions were filling.

Went there today to get breakfast to my surprise it was good I got the corniglog and longanisaiglog and Joe rock and chicharon the rice was good tasty and the corn beef was good and I can taste it is not water down everything was good will be returning and recommending the place is big and just need to do a big and should do a brunch type breakfast on Saturday and Sunday and have a grand opening is in a prefect spot apartments and offices around it they should take advantage of it and do a a buffet style instead I think it will do well if it did

I've been meaning to try this place out. So far I've tried the chicken inasal and the tocino-silog. Both items came out fairly quickly and were easy to order. You order and pay at the front then they will bring your order to your table once you've chosen your own seat. The restaurant itself is pretty big and is located on the corner of a busy street. They have TV's playing acoustic music and lots of windows. The service is fast and they are very friendly and personable in the front. When I got the chicken inasal, they showed me which sauces to use and how I'm supposed to eat it! I'd definitely recommend this place to bring my friends and anyone in the area wanting to try!

We always pass by this restaurant when we go to the mall or Haven City Market. Was very curious. So when my mom said that she wanted a Filipino brunch for mother's day, we turned to Yelp and found that they had good reviews. Went ahead and tried them out. My mom had the arroz caldo, I had the jepsilog (jeprox, sinangag, itlog), hubs got the longsilog and a side of sisig. Mom loved the arroz caldo and the silogs were good (more garlic in the sinangag please :)). Will come back to see if their kare kare is good (my fave). Place is good for big parties - plenty of room. They are very nice and very helpful.

I got the chicken meal combo and omg! I have never tasted such a succulent and tasty chicken!!! Pang Inasal you must tell us the recipe because this chicken was moist and delectable!! I also enjoyed trying some of these little sides and a very hot Thai chili nevertheless I will definitely come back and order me another chicken and try something these! Salamat po!

This has been one of our go to places to buy food. They' have a lot of breakfast silog plates that are really good and delicious. I usually order the Dasilog or Fried milkfish with fried rice and egg. We also love their pancit, arroz caldo and spaghetti Filipino style. Prices are affordable and service is great.

Ask me--I won't say no How could I? Chicken Inasal Combo from #PangInasal
    Mojo S.

I wanted to like this place. I love a good chicken inasal and theirs was quite good--moist, flavorful, and a fairly big portion. Also, the pandesal as a side is a nice touch. It makes for a great accompaniment to the meal. No, the problem was the aesthetics, ambience, and customer service. When I walked up to the counter I was greeted with a pretty lackluster, "Yes?" No words of greeting and nothing like, "Can I take your order?"--it was like he was offended by having to serve a customer. Also, the meal itself looked just unflattering. The presentation with its plain paper plate, canned soda, and barebones rice and ulam spartan portioning made it look like a prison meal that no one involved took any pride in making or serving up. Yes, the food was delicious, but it's like they made an effort to hide that fact from you. I don't know what made have made it better. Real plates or maybe even just some kind of design? Maybe a serving tray? Or like a garnish to put some color into the plating? Or it could've just as simple as putting the pandesal on a large enough plate to include it in the whole dish too. It just all felt very sterile and utilitarian when food, at least to some degree, should look amazing when it first gets to you. Also, it's the same with the atmosphere. It was eerily quiet inside the plain walls and low lighting. I felt like I was eating in a library or church. No one was engaging with each other. No one seemed to want to be eating there. It was like we were eating a meal against our will. I know reviews should be mostly about the food, but it shouldn't be a sense of dread that you feel when thinking about walking into a restaurant. I want to feel uplifted by a meal and not like I'm being punished for wanting to eat chicken inasal.

The worker said they're made fresh daily, which does add some comfort, but I still prefer them made to order. Anyway, I received my drink and gave it a taste. My double matcha latte with almond milk, sugar-free sweetener, and lavender syrup came out to around $10. The matcha itself was actually really good! I'd give it an 8.5/10. My sister tried one of their espresso drinks and gave hers a 7.5/10. The biggest downside for me was definitely the price. I understand my substitutions add to the cost, but $10 for a standard-sized drink is a little too much for me to come back regularly. As for the atmosphere, there are some wooden seats, but it didn't really feel like a place to study or sit and catch up with friends. The back area had plants, boxes, and other items, so it definitely gave me more of a get your drink and go vibe. Overall, the matcha was delicious, but between the pricing, extra charges, and limited atmosphere, I probably wouldn't return. Worth trying once if you're curious though!
