Rustic Italian sliced and taken home
Mike E.

Had a chicken tarragon sandwich on baguette today and it was very good. Also too home a loaf of rustic Italian (the Milano) and it's also very good. If you live in Addison you should be buying your bread here instead of the grocery store. Or at least for special occasions / having guests. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

This is a quaint spot tucked away. The service is lovely. Most of the menu is available all day and the the order turnaround is relatively quick. They have full sized desserts you can't take home as well as personal sizes. They seem to have lots of patrons they know by name. The bathrooms were clean, and the kitchen looked clean as well. I was surprised to see a roach in the dining area. It happens, just makes one nervous pertaining to food preparation.

Grilled salmon on top of a Caesar salad

How could I possibly have missed this place after living so many years in the town of addison? It is amazing! The food is fabulous. The atmosphere is nice and quiet. The people are so kind. And they have everything to eat from pastries and cakes and muffins to sandwiches, salads, pizza, pasta, and soups! Fernanda was super kind and share it all about what was available at the bakery. We tried the cedar salad with grilled salmon and the lemon chicken piccata with angel hair pasta. We also bought the most fabulous fresh sourdough bread and a raspberry scone with a drizzle of icing. We are super impressed! Absolutely La Spiga is a new favorite!

La Spiga is one of those places you take people when they want to experience the hidden parts of DFW. Great food, huge portions. Friendly service. And, it's just a nice local hole-in-the-wall place. We also stop there to pick up a loaf of sourdough every so often. Highly recommend.

I had to come back for lunch.... I LOVE LA SPIGA!!! Brought my picky little sister and she has approved! I got the chicken salad sandwhich and it was so light but filling! We were eating and had kitchen staff come by to see how we enjoyed our food. I will swear by this place up and down!!! The best staff and the best food.

This spot is so unassuming and near a few repair shops. I came here with a few coworkers and as soon as we entered, we were all greeted by an employee behind the register. There were a few "daily" specials on a board near the register and a menu on the wall that broke down the different combos and menu items. I also noticed a menu to the right of the entrance where you could get coffee and an area where you can get cakes/pastries. I asked them at the front what they recommended and they asked what items I was leaning towards. I indicated that I'd like a sandwich. She asked if I'd like to do a combo rather than just a sandwich so I decided on getting Tomato Basil Soup and a Chicken Tarragon Sandwich. The quantity of food our group received for the price we paid was so good. Some members of our group had nearly 2 meals from what we were given. They also provided a small plate of different types of bread for our group like sourdough, ciabatta, and jalapeño cornbread. Anyways, the sandwich was quite large and the soup was warm and tasty. I definitely want to go back to try their pastries and coffee, and maybe even a slice of cake. I recommend you stop by and give them a try!

We started with the meatballs and a salad each (Caesar and Arugula) Salads were fresh and the waiter said they used all organic produce. The red sauce on the meatballs was absolutely perfect. We actually requested a side of it for the focaccia, which was the only thing we got that we didn't love. Mains were good size, price & quality wise. Even though we didn't need it, we both got dessert. The tiramisu was exactly what my BF wanted it to be. I had a banana cream pie thing that was also super good. It's a family-owned Italian restaurant, and you can truly feel that warm, welcoming atmosphere from the moment you walk in. The staff was friendly, attentive, and everything felt clean and well taken care of. We started with the baked clams, which were prepared almost like escargot so flavorful and delicious. Then we had the carpaccio, which was super fresh and very well done. We tried the Caesar salad was fresh & tasty. For my main dish, I ordered the cartoccio, served wrapped in foil with pasta and mushrooms... and wow, it was incredible. So rich, so flavorful definitely a must-try. My boyfriend had the Siciliana with Alfredo pasta, and it was perfectly seasoned and very tasty. We also enjoyed a dirty martini to start (perfectly made), and ended up having a few bottles of wine their wine selection is extensive, and you can tell they really know what they're offering. One thing we loved was that the owners personally go table to table to check on guests. That personal touch really makes a difference. Overall, such a great experience. Delicious food, great service, and a cozy family-owned feel. We will definitely be back.

The initial arrival was entirely seamless, as I was able to secure a most convenient parking space directly on the street. Upon crossing the threshold, I must confess my initial impression was that the venue might be somewhat ordinary however, I was instantly disabused of that notion. The interior architecture features a truly magnificent, extensive collection of vintage typewriters alongside an absolutely breathtaking, grand display of fine wines. Having personal experience with typewriters from years past, I found their impressive stock to be thoroughly nostalgic, and the wine selection was nothing short of exciting. While the venue beautifully accommodates guests for delightful alfresco dining, I escorted myself inside to a highly comfortable table. The gentleman assisting me was exceptionally warm, providing a level of attentive hospitality that makes the entire excursion worthwhile. For my afternoon refreshment, I requested a crisp Blackberry Smash. While engaging in a brief, lovely conversation with the waiter, he elegantly suggested a curation of bruschetta pairings that would harmonize beautifully with the cocktail. On his superb guidance, I selected a quartet: the Goat Cheese & Spicy Pepper Jam, the Tomato & Mozzarella, the Apple Brie & Fig, and the French Onion Bruschetta. The kitchen executed the order with commendable precision. When the board arrived, the presentation was an absolute masterpiece and the entire flavor profile was a complete delight. The sophisticated combination of savory, sweet, and crisp textures left me thoroughly happy. It is an absolute treat of a destination, completely worthy of one's dining calendar. I am entirely enamored with this exciting new find and shall most certainly be returning

Along with coconut shrimp. The shrimp were ginormous. And the sauces were so good. Our fav was the mango marmalade. The best bread I have ever had in my life!!!! You know how sometimes they bring a roll to the table for the table to share? Not here boyeeeee Each person gets their own roll. I don't even know how to explain this heavenly bread. It truly is the best beard I have ever had before. I would come eat here again JUST FOR THE BREAD. The crab cake is out of this world. Huge jumbo clumps. Also comes with a variety of sauces. The wasabi one was our favorite. You must order the crab cake! My husband got the ribeye rare and said it was the best steak he has had, and he eats a ton of steak. I got their off menu item of carne asada tacos. The meat was sooooo tender. They don't use flank steak they use a tenderloin and it just melts. The mushrooms were Devine. Glad I ordered the carne asada. The adult Mac and cheese was good but just good. Brussels sprouts were good (not the best I have had) but I think I was also just so full by this point. The asparagus is huge!!! Oh the best finisher ever- the peanut butter pie!!!! OMG!!!!!!!!!! I'm not even a dessert girl and I couldn't stop eating it. First time me and my husband were fighting over the last bite.
