Beautiful little cafe with perfect soup and sandwiches, friendly and professional staff, and bread and pastries in full size to go. I have only had sandwiches here, but the menu boasts pasta dishes and salads, too. Only open for lunch, but not usually too crowded after noon. Sample some of their fresh bread and take home a loaf. Half price baked goods in the afternoon, too! Great for catering for the office. Heard the cakes are phenomenal, too. I've made several lifer customers out of those I've taken to lunch at this side street gem! read more

LOVE! LOVE! LOVE! This place is soooo good! I love their sandwiches and salads. Their lemon bars are to die for! The staff have ALWAYS been friendly even though this place gets super busy at lunch time. My coworkers and I eat here on average once a week or every other week. La Spiga Bakery is a rare find in a strange location that I probably wouldn't have gone to if I hadn't read the reviews first. This is becoming a regular lunch spot for me where I feel like all the work that goes into this gormet lunch can be completely tasted. From the amazing breads, to the amazing soups, to the amazing desserts(I haven't had any of their Italian dishes yet). They are relatively quick too. The only down falls I have with the place is there may not be room for you to sit and its just very quaint, tight quarters altogether. I never feel gross after eating here like you would after downing a soup and sandwich at most places. It's all so fresh and by God, THE BEST BASIL TOMATO SOUP... who ever would have thought that I would rave over tomato soup? I would buy their breads to give as gifts even. I'm considering using them to cater my wedding! read more

Quaint little place for breakfast or lunch. I've had their quiche, chicken tarragon & roast beef sandwiches and all were delicious. Their muffins, scones and cookies are also delicious. They sell cakes by the slice or whole that look amazing. Their in-house made breads are a good buy, but sell out quickly. read more

The choices of bread are outstanding since they are also in the wholesale baking business. The Italian sub heated on nine grain bread is very good! I always go in intending to try something new, but always end up ordering the house salad with grilled chicken. It is delicious. That salad is one of the rare healthy items that I could actually stomach while pregnant. The dressing is delicious and the croutons... I could just sit and eat a bag of them, which is dangerous because they sell bags of them! Also, the portions are huge. The large salad is so big you'll laugh when they bring it out, but I always eat nearly the entire thing. The pork tenderloin sandwich is very delicious also. Tender, juicy pork medallions with caramelized onions... Yum. And this is coming from someone who doesn't really like pork! read more

The tarragon chicken sandwich was great. The girl behind the counter was helpful in choosing the sandwich and the potato garlic soup. I will go again. I purchased a small cake on the way out. If it had been fresh I think it had the potential to be great. It was stale and the almonds coving it tasted old or freezer burnt. Not good. I will return for lunch but won't purchase cake again. read more

it's not where i expected it to be, but it's cool. i wasnt happy about climbing stairs to get to breakfast, but what awaited inside was mostly worth it. the biggest loaves of bread you can find and some of the best flavors. the cookies are good, but no matter what the nice woman behind the counter tells you, THEY HAVE NUTS IN THEM! they are pecans, usually in the choc chips. my wife's been told twice there's no nuts and i was told once there were no nuts and every single time there's huge chunks of pecans. it's probably the only reason the place gets 4 stars from me instead of 5. get the bread. even kenny knows :) read more

Hidden Gem! This is my go to lunch spot. I have tried something different every time I've gone here and have yet to have a sandwich I didn't like. A half sandwich is the perfect amount for anyone, and they're all under $5 with their amazing in-house made chips. Their peanut butter cookie is the best cookie I have ever had. Must try! read more
