I have been driving by this place for some time now. Out of curiosity, I stopped by for a burrito. They were quick enough with the food. The burrito was the sloppiest mess I have ever had the displeasure of holding. It was a big handful of mush.1/3 was sour cream, then runny beans and meat from last week. Burnt meat and it was really grainy. Not good. I would recommend that people should go elsewhere. There are plenty of places. Traveling from out of town and stopped to have lunch. This was a great spot for our family because of the variety of food to choose from. We enjoyed everything we ordered. The tamales were possibly the best I've ever had, thin masa and filled with juicy chicken, smothered in the most delicious red sauce. We enjoyed everything we ordered, great homemade fast food!!! If I could give zero stars I would. I was so excited to see a new building being built and wanted to try the food as soon at it opened but turned out to be SUCH a disappointment. Food had no flavor. Chips had the smell, color, and taste of cardboard. Employees didn't have a clue about how to run a restaurant. The lady at the counter forget an enchilada and when we asked where it was she said that we never ordered one. Then she proceeds to tell her manager that she read us back the order and that we were lying saying she didn't. Couldn't even eat the food if you wanted to, it was served on styrofoam plates with plastic utensils. The food was not only gross but somewhat expensive for such a small portion. Decent fast Mexican, Chinese, American and even a little Japanese fast food. Not bad for the price and good quality the couple times we have gone. Nice and clean inside. My biggest complaint is that they use Styrofoam containers for their food. I really wish all restaurants would change to something more sustainable. So many better alternatives out there. My kids definitely love it and they are huge portions, reasonably priced. read more

4 stars for this visit based on what I was looking for. Wanted a cheap quick lunch and got it. Ordered the spring rolls (they are actually mini egg rolls) and a bean and cheese burrito. Total was $4 and change and filled me up. The burrito flavor was unremarkable but there hot sauce has a flavor seminar to a Asian hot chili sauce and I loved it ( used it on the egg rolls instead of the sweet and sour they come with it was so good) all in all good first visit and I will be back read more

Went through the drive through for their grand opening. I ordered soft tacos. I got back hard cold tortillas with what seemed like a tablespoon of meat. My husband's burrito was uneatable. Their rice and beans do not even taste good either. Will not go here ever again, unless to try their Chinese food (which I thought strange and misleading to have Chinese food on a "restaurant" advertised as Mexican food). I payed $20 for two burritos in the drive through. When I asked for some salsa/hot sauces the lady in the window told me that I can only have two and closes the window on me while I tried to ask for a couple more. The Asian lady in the window walked away and didn't come back. After this I called to talk to the manager about how disrespectful the employee was. I kid you not, the only answer the manager had for me was, "We normally only give one hot sauce per customer because it takes a lot of time to make". Haven't been to a Mexican restaurant before that gave me so little salsa that i ran out in the first quarter of the burrito. Food wasn't bad but if it's to much work for a Mexican restaurant to make salsa then I'm sure a lot of corners are cut in the back. Definitely not worth the stop even if your in a Mexican food mood. Wow... Just grossly staffed, people yelling to one another like we cant hear them... They got my order confused. I said burrito bowl with no meat and instead more beans. They gave me a bowl of refried beans with literally one piece of lettus as small as an adult pinky finger nail with a dash of cheese on top. We could hear them discussing the confusion, as the drive thru employee says " I don't know what they said I could barely here him. He said beans extra beans" .... After eating couple bites I tasted a spoiled sweetness only a person who's ever accidentally drankin sour milk before, would understand. Stopped eating it immediately and threw it away. No joke. This place is not even worth going and getting my money back from. All around horrible, rude unknowlagable staff, poor food quality as well as possible not safe to eat. Do NOT waste your money here. Stopped in to try it out today. It's fast food mexican and not bad at that. Nice clean restaurant with friendly people working hard to get orders out and keep people happy. I had the taco plate for 7.50 which included 3 tacos and rice and beans. The beans were standard rosarita refried but the rice was exceptional! The tacos were the small double corn tortilla kind but then most anywhere are like that nowadays. They were very tasty though. I ate there and was in and out in 20 minutes with a lemonade to go. The owner and the chefs think it's okay to cook vegetarian dishes on a grill covered in bits of meat and animal fat. Then proceeded to talk loudly about me in the back after I asked them to remake it because there were too many pieces of meat and a strong taste of animal fat. They said they clean the grill once a day which is disgusting. When I thanked them and tipped them $3 for being so accommodating, they started to make fun of me for the way I eat. Saying that "vegan bacon" and "vegan mayonnaise" were gross and weird, I told them that I don't even eat those things but they still ridiculed the life style which is incredibly disrespectful and unnecessary to a paying customer. The Pork taco I had wasn't that great. The Pork tasted like it came out of a bag and was previously frozen it was really chewy and bland. The salsa didn't taste to fresh ether. I know this place just opened so maybe I'll try it again in a few months. The reason for two stars instead of one is the speed and the lady in drive throw was really friendly, the menu was also confusing as the Also serve Chinese food as well as Mexican. So disappointed! I've been here three times now, as I really wanted this mom and pop shop to be successful. The food is not impressive and the staff are struggling to grasp the menu. I ordered two soft tacos and a drink on my first visit. It was about $12 with a tip. The Carne Asada was bland and tasted like roast beef - add seasoning please? I was hoping for some cabbage, lettuce, or cilantro but no such luck. Meat and squishy pico. Visit 2: I went for the teriyaki bowl. It looked great! Nice generous portion of chicken with thick sweet teriyaki sauce. The slices of chicken were big but they didn't provide a knife. A little work to eat on the go but the chicken tasted good. I dug into the bowl to get some rice and noticed it was reddish in color. I thought it was mixed with teriyaki, but no such luck - it was Spanish rice. Seriously disgusting! Teriyaki and Spanish rice do not go together - yuck! Please serve white rice with Asian food? The last trip was influenced by my vegetarian friends. It took 10 minutes just to order the food, as the worker didn't understand "vegetarian" even though the specific items are posted on their menu. I ordered a super burrito, which was not super. I will wait 6 months then try again, if they are still in business. Please try to improve the food and the service so we can support you in your venture. read more

My husband and I have observed this new restaurant on South Market (Hwy 273) but have been resistant to stop there for no particular reason. Well, we stopped today to give it a try, and we were surprisingly pleased. The place was spotlessly clean, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful answering our questions, and the food was outstanding. We are actually looking forward to my taking advantage of the fact that they have a drive-thru window which will make it very convenient to stop by when I'm on my way home, driving down 273. We highly recommend that you give it a try and tell your friends and neighbors. We really try to support our local businesses and hope you do also. read more

Super burrito was bland and boring, chicken was greasy, only one little drop of guacamole. This is the first Mexican restaurant I have been to that does not have hot sauce or salsa. No fresh ingredients (onion, lettuce, tomato, cilantro). Employees were friendly and polite, but the food was overpriced and not good. I would go to Roquitos Tacos down the street, or even Taco Bell, before going back to La Taqueria Mexican....even Taco Bell has hot sauce. read more
