I changed my order to one taco and kept the small drink and was told the price would be $8.00 and some change. When I check my debit card I was charged $9.18. This place is scamming people. My Mom asked what she could bring from Turlock for dinner for my family and I. I'd heard good things about this place. I looked at the photos on here and the shrimp taco's with guacamole, salsa verde, sour cream, and cilantro looked amazing. Too bad the shrimp had no flavor, and the salsa verde was too spicy, so I'm glad it was on the side. I tried my daughters chicken quesadilla and the chicken was good and flavorful. My husband had a carne asada burrito and he said it was ok, he wouldn't want to have it again. My Mom and Step-Dad had shrimp burritos and they said they were good. Tried the horchata and it was too grainy for my liking. Guess I tried the wrong thing but I wasn't impressed. Mundo's and La Mo are still #1 in Turlock, sorry La Taqueria. This place is just awesome! The guy who took my order was just pretty awesome!!! He let us try their carne asada, and was willing to go through their short menu with us. They accidentally put hot sauce on my tacos when I asked them not to, and I actually felt bad that they might throw it away because it looked so good! Went here for the first time. I had a shredded chicken burrito. It was very good. Taste is not an issue. There could've been a bit more chicken in there. I think it's a bit pricey for the size of the burrito. Had this been a huge burrito I would've gladly paid the price again. read more

Excellent buche and lengua tacos (add guacamole) and the owner also encouraged me to try free samples of the other meat options and the strawberry agua fresca (which was tasty). I love it when someone takes real pride in their food, and it always shows in the final product. I'm very disappointed. These are yet the worst tacos I've ever had. Let me start off by telling you how ridiculous the prices are, $7.35 a piece for a taco that's just insane. The meat tasted like it's been sitting for a while, the Carnitas was as if I was chewing on dry meat, with absolutely no flavor. I'm surprised they are still open for business. They need to make some major changes if there best interest is in the customer. Sadly I will never be coming here again. Solid Mexican food but pricey. I usually get asada burrito because they grill the meat fresh. Tacos and quesadillas are solid. Aguas frescas are on point. I like the fact that they have a drive thru which makes it convenient but the charge to use card is BS because they are already the highest priced taqueria in Turlock. Solid choice if you're in a hurry because they have drive thru but be prepared to pay for the convenience. This place has been open for awhile but hadn't gone because of price. We finally decided to treat our family. We ordered asada tacos, plain quesadilla, super burrito, and loaded chips. We were not a big fan of the tacos just taste a bit plain. We absolutely loved the burrito, loaded chips, and quesadilla. Grilled chicken has so much flavor. They give large portions. The food is a bit pricy but is good quality. The main reason for the 2 starts is because they charge you an extra 3.25% if you use a card instead of cash. My burrito alone was over $11, I should not have to pay another $.37 to pay for my meal the same way I'd pay at any other restaurant just because they'd prefer cash. I have been here two times so far. The people that work there are very friendly. The food tastes very good. The tacos are nice and big, but the burritos are kind of small.
