I was pretty impressed by this place! I tried the earl grey matcha, the lemon cloud coffee (seasonal?) and the hojicha. My favorite was probably either the hojicha or the matcha. The matcha was super creamy, but my only downside was that it was a tad bit sweet. The hojicha was solid as well, I just wanted more roasted flavor and I felt that the cup was a bit less in comparison to the others. Even if there's no cream top, it should be filled proportionally. My least favorite was the lemon cloud coffee but I could tell the coffee was really good. The lemons flavor reminded me of if the milk had spoiled. But my friend really liked it. If I came back I would get the egg coffee or something with coffee because it was very good but I just KNOW it would make me wired. This might be the best matcha in Austin and up there for the Vietnamese coffee scene. Line moved quickly but parking was rough.
Cute little coffee truck that is only opened on the weekends and seems to have a lot of love. I really loved that there was so much creativity put into the matcha from using condense milk to blend a fusion of flavors. The man who took our order was extremely kind and friendly. I got a banana cold foam matcha. I enjoyed it but I think I will go for a coffee next time. I love that they use lactose friendly milk.
I've been wanting to try this place but they have such limited hours. The line can get long and is in the sun so beware. It was well worth the wait to us though. There was 6 of us and we all got different drinks so it was fun to be able to try a lot of their menu with just one visit. I'll def stick to my matcha for next time though!
La Vi is an up and becoming coffee truck in downtown Austin. They are still trying to find their groove and rhythm. Their hours are limited to just the weekends, and they are packed during those business hours. I came during SXSW weekend and waited approximately 30 minutes for two drinks. The drinks themselves are good, but the portions are smaller. I would give them a visit if I'm not on a time crunch and already in the downtown area.
My boyfriend and I were in the area and wanted some coffee. Luckily, this cute Vietnamese coffee truck was just a short walk away. There was a long line, and we ended up waiting about 15 to 20 minutes before reaching the front. Ordering was quick, and the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. We ordered the La Vi Viet Latte and the Salted Cookie Butter Coffee. These drinks were worth the wait! I was especially impressed by the La Vi Viet Latte. You could actually taste the Earl Grey, and it complemented the coffee really well. The ladyfinger biscuit was a nice touch too. If La Vi ever makes its way to Houston, I'll be first in line!

There's also free pastries & snacks near the register. When I went it was a little busy, but the line moved quick. I waited about 15 minutes for my drinks, which wasn't that bad. Parking was a little hard since it's by a hotel, but there's surrounding areas for street parking. The banana cream top matcha was creamy & had a perfect balance of banana & matcha. The la vi latte was a little strong & not bitter. It says it has earl grey syrup in it, but I couldn't taste it. Overall, I loved both of the drinks.
Definitely one of my top Vietnamese coffee places in ATX! I love that the coffee isn't overly strong as most viet coffees are. It's the perfect strong with the hint of banana flavor that isn't overpowering. Definitely lives up to the hype!

The wait was slow, drinks took a while to come out, and your name is called when your order is ready for pickup. Pricing also feels a bit random and on the pricier side given the small cup size, with a good portion of it being cream or milk. La Vi has potential, but there are quite a few kinks they need to work out. My husband got the matcha latte ($7.15) with oat milk and substituted condense milk with agave syrup to avoid dairy. The drink was topped with two cute daisies. The first sip was good, but after that it tasted a bit sweet and artificial. Our friend got the salted caramel Viet latte ($7.15), which wasn't bad but nothing particularly special. You get a subtle caramel flavor throughout. I got the salted cookie butter coffee ($7.35) which was really good and the best of all the drinks we tried. The taste and sweetness level were perfect. You can't adjust the milk or cream top though.
Expect a line but a line that moves fast because they're so efficient! They have the classic Vietnamese coffees and their own unique twists on them as well. My friend and I opted for the egg coffee and cookie butter coffee. They were fantastic! So creamy, smooth espresso and an overall treat. That being said there's a lot of dairy in this and the coffee is super strong. Me and my friend (who can handle dairy unlike me) could only finish half of the drink...so maybe consider splitting it. Solid spot and the owners are very nice!

(With my previous history with other coffee/matcha shops, I feel the need to verify the cup volume and it was engraved in the cup as 18oz) They also don't charge extra for milk substitutes! Ordered: - Matcha May Cloud: Very yummy earl grey syrup. I'll admit I was a bit skeptical of the matcha at first since the powder on top of the foam looked more of a muted green to me instead of a more vibrant green. Got there around 9AM on a Sunday, there was a small line. Arrived and received our drinks in like 30 minutes.
Yes yes immediately yes! This coffee took me to a different planet. I tried the pistachio cream top coffee it was amazing but didn't have a distinct pistachio flavor. Hours rotate weekly so check instagram for the latest! Friendly service! Picnic tables available to sit and enjoy.

The line was long on a Saturday morning, but it moved surprisingly fast. Even with more than 30 people ahead of us, it only took about 20 minutes to place our order. I tried the matcha latte and the banana pudding Vietnamese coffee. The matcha was decent but not particularly memorable or worth it. The banana pudding Vietnamese coffee a lot better

Cute coffee truck downtown. I'm not a huge coffee drinker but my husband said this is pretty exceptional for Viet coffee. I'd say it's traditional Vietnamese coffee with a modern twist. We've been twice already and have gotten something different each time and everything has been good. This time we got the banana cream top coffee and the matcha may cloud. 10/10, no notes. The line wasn't too bad on a Sunday around 10 AM--maybe a 15 minute wait. I've heard it can be 30+ minutes during peak times though so keep that in mind. read more
only open on the weekends and usually a long line, but it moves quickly! waited about 30 minutes from line to getting our drinks the matcha may cloud was delicious, super creamy, and the matcha flavor is apparent. not the strongest matcha, not astringent. the drink overall was super creamy, definitely up there for best matchas in austin the hojicha was just okay, grainier than I would like. however the roasted flavor shined. usually, hojicha drinks tend to outshine the matchas at most cafes, but the matcha drink was better here. it was also not as full as the other cups for some reason. the lemon cloud coffee was a must try since it sounded so unique. i thought it was executed really well - creamy and citrusy. perfect summer morning drink. it felt like i was eating a little lemon tart w my creamy latte. delicious!! i will come back time and time again to support. they give free waters and snacks to everyone in line as well! read more
La Vi Coffee truck opened back in February 2026 and has been booming ever since! They are a Vietnamese coffee truck with a cult following. Located in the food truck park downtown by the old convention center, La Vi is in the heart of Austin. Currently they are only open Fri - Sun, and during their operating hours, there is commonly quite the line. But once you reach the order window, they are friendly and ready to recommend! I got their Matcha May cloud and it was very creamy with a hint of salt. This is definitely a "treat" kind of place! While you wait in line, they have music going so that your wait is a little more enjoyable. Glad they are here in the city! read more

We waited about 30 mins to order on a Saturday, but worth it for this yumminess!!! I got the viet coffee with salted cream top and it was smooth, creamy, and perfectly salted Employees were very kind and personable as well. Totally understand why this place is so popular! read more
This place was okay. I'd give it a 3.8/5 for taste alone but 4.3/5 for taste + vibes. It's convenient if you're walking around downtown and want something refreshing. I'm not sure if it's worth standing in the heat to wait in line though... Their logos and design are creative and make them stand out. It's a cute little food truck with friendly staff. The cups were pretty but the taste was generic, although decent but nothing special. I thought the banana matcha could've had a stronger banana flavor. I liked the sea salt coffee overall, coffee wasn't too strong or overpowering. read more
delicious vietnamese coffee from a food truck in downtown! there's a couple of picnic tables surrounded by trucks where you can enjoy your coffee. they were very nice and explained their menu since it was our first time. 10/10 recommend! read more

This is a new soft opening vietnamese coffee truck that I was very excited to try. It seems like they are currently open sat and sunday, but you might want to check their instagram for further updates. 20% off during their soft opening as well. The barista/ person at the cashier was friendly and charming. He was helpful and eager to introduce us about their vietnamese drinks. They have a variety of vietnamese coffee. My bf and I got banana cream top matcha and salted butter cookie coffee. the cream top for the coffee was salty sweet, some crumble of the butter cookie on top make the drink more fun and balance out some of the bitterness of the vietnamese coffee underneath. the Vietnamese coffee was great, it taste strong like how coffeee in vietnam is but didn't left my heart palpitate. Matcha was good but not too impressive in my opinion, was still a solid matcha drink tho. Banana cream top was sweet and not as thick as expected. Overall I would definitely come back to try their other coffee, specifically the egg coffee and maybe their matcha may cloud a try. The area has seatings to sit and hangout with friends outside, along with other food trucks in the area. Street parking nearby might be limited but there are parking garages about 1-2 block down the road. read more

I loved the vibes of this place :,) their maycloud matcha was so creamy (and they handwhisk their matcha!) and on the sweeter side while the salted cookie butter coffee was strong (small hints of cookie butter) and not as creamy. Personally, I enjoyed their matcha more than their coffee. Be prepared to wait in line + drinks when its busy as they are still in soft opening. Parking is limited and posted on their instagram page for help. I would definitely go again at a less busier time when i visit austin again :) read more
