Our last big meal on vacation. Considering my exposure to Mexican food usually includes at least one meximelt, don't count on me being the expert on authentic Mexican cuisine. That being said, this place was pretty good and reminded us of our favorite Mexican restaurant back home. Very filling and the kids loved the children's menu. The kids meals varied from chicken tenders and fries, to burritos, to tacos. I chose the chicken chimi with refried beans. My wife got the taco combo meal with rice and beans. The food was good the service wasn't as good as I thought it would be. We were sat in the back of the restaurant which was fine until they sat another couple right beside us and the male customer was coughing and sneezing the whole time. The food here is good but they can't seem to get their pricing straight. I've been charged multiple prices for the same thing on different occasions. I wish when they gave you your bill it had the prices on it rather than them trying to figure it out at the cash register as you're leaving. Authentic Mexican cuisine! We were hoping to find something local and we were so happy to find this little gem. The staff were so friendly. I ordered the spicy guacamole salad. I don't remember the Mexican named for it. It was delicious!! Avocado, Pico de Gallo, jalapeno and I think lime all on a bed of lettuce. We ordered the pineapple fajitas which was served in a hollowed out pineapple on a sizzling platter. The smokey steak, moist chicken and perfectly cooked shrimp were mixed with peppers and carmelized onions. So tasty!! Even the retired bean and rice were good. The serving was large, so we only ordered one to share. Our bill was only $25!! We will definitely return when we are in town again. read more

The nachos were the sorriest excuse for nachos I've ever seen. Taco Bell has better nachos. The doused some chips with liquid cheese and runny retried beans. I asked for jalapeños and they threw a few on top. I wish I had taken a picture so you would know I'm not exaggerating. This is a great Mexican restaurant! Chips and salsa were really good, fairly spicy salsa but I like it that way. Molcajete fajitas was an amazing dish. Served in a hot molten lava rock bowl kept the steak, chicken, shrimp, and chorizo hot while I ate. We had 6 people get different dishes and everyone was happy. The shrimp really shined. I thoroughly enjoyed all of my food. They stuck us in the back which i didn't like. But the service was great and they got all our orders correct. They had my "normal Mexican meal" on the menu which never happens!! And it was sooo yum. Bean burrito smothered with queso. The queso had a nice spicy kick to it. I read some of the reviews and was kind of hesitant about eating there, but except for the room temperature being a little warm the food was good and service was good. I went there today and my sever never came back to the table after taking my order and i never seen him again. They never came back to my table after they dropped off the food . My husband had to ask for a refill on the drinks. We set there for 20 minutes to get the check.and they never asked us if our food was ok . They got my order wrong. Great place for a quick family meal. All the usual American-Mexican fare in liberal portions. Large selection of entrees and mix-n-match plates. Service is great. Recommend fajitas, pollo loco, and nachos supremos. Be careful not to fill up on the complimentary chips and salsa or you'll end up stuffed. I wouldn't order the steak entrees - as a main course, the steak is thin, grisly, and flavorless - order steak fajitas, burritos, or other dish where the steak is an ingredient and it's okay. Well lets start off, a real Mexican restaurant would have margaritas but they did not. The bean dip and salsa was good but don't order any extra green salsa because they charge you a dollar fifty for each one they bring out, that cost almost as much as my food did. We were not impressed with the food at all. And if you have to use the restroom, make sure you bring a flashlight cuz the lighting is so, so poor don't know what they're hiding. We used to enjoy this location until this week. What a change in quality of food and terrible service. 3 PM, ordered from the dinner menu, only one other table with clients. Waiter comes out with his cell phone stuck to his head talking away, not even acknowledging we were there for several minutes. He returns with chips and salsa with the phone glued to his head yapping away. Walks away without getting a drink order in. Returns 5 minutes later for the drink order and dinner order. After 15 - 20 minutes he returns with the dinner. My wife went to the ladies room during the 20 minute wait. She doesn't tell me what she saw until after I mentioned the food problem.. Chili Relleno, (sauce over breaded chili pepper), (Frozen Solid!), What an insult! After finding the waiter glued to his phone hidden in a corner way in the back of the restaurant, I mentioned how frozen it was. He came out and was going to replace the meal, then my wife mentioned what she saw at the restroom. He was peeling something filthy from the sole of his shoe with his finger nail and flicking it on the floor near empty tables. He didn't wash his hands and picked up our frozen meals. Guess what, we skipped the meals. he refused payment for the beer and ice tea, so I left him a small tip (for the beer) and we left. NEVER AGAIN. read more
