Haven't been to Cici's in forever and I saw they had rebranded and decided to come in for a visit. Still a menu filled with everything you could think of to order. We started with some hot chocolates and shared the eggs Benedict, itsy bitsy pancakes and a crepe. Everything was delicious but we definitely order a bit too much food even for sharing. Staff were friendly as always.
Best & memorable Tiramisu Green Tea Pancakes. We split the dishes as the portions were generous. Smoke salmon Benedict was made perfectly. Definitely coming back here whenever I'm in CA
My usual go to is loco moco or corned beef hash. BUT I've never seen beef panang curry with lava omelet. It did NOT disappoint. Beef was super tender. Panang sauce had that creamy peanut flavor with a slight kick of heat with flavor! Lava omelet was beautifully cooked and fun to eat. It is like a Japanese omurice which I've never had before. My only critique is that I would want Japanese sticky rice. Jasmine rice is too loose and Japanese rice would hold up to all the delicious sauce and lava omelet. So much flavor and nothing was needed like salt, pepper, hot sauce. My server Mint (I loved that she spelled her name for me) was super sweet and patient. It's a THIRTY page menu!!! She said beef panang was her favorite and I don't think she was just saying that. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The owner is Thai so I love the little hints of Thai decorations.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is very clean with modern lights and decorations. Everyone is very helpful in keeping everything clean[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]].
Ordered the breakfast sandwich and the bread to filling ratio was just not it. I wish there was more green in it, lettuce or avocado. The potatoes and the sandwich were missing some hot sauce or something. Overall willing to try again but not thrilled to.
Used to know this place as Cici's Cafe -- I think it's Thai-run, and it's been a solid breakfast spot with some fun Thai fusion twists on the menu, like the Chicken Curry & Lava Omelet (chicken curry over rice topped with a creamy lava omelet), which I haven't tried yet but sounds really interesting. The Dutch baby pancake here is amazing -- thin, golden edges dusted with powdered sugar, piled high with fresh strawberries and served with warm syrup on the side. Great texture, not too eggy, generous portion for sharing. Line was long, but worth the wait. A must-visit if you're in the area.
[[HIGHLIGHT]]Stopped by for brunch on Wednesday. It wasn't too crowded around 11 am when we arrived.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There's a small parking lot for the whole plaza, but I can see it getting full during busy times. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant wasn't too crowded when I arrived, maybe 1/3 of the tables were occupied.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The menu was very long and overwhelming.... let's just say I've never seen a menu with a table of contents before! lol I know they're known for their pancakes, so I definitely wanted to try some, but I also prefer savory dishes at brunch. I ended up ordering a custom frittata ($22.95) with spinach, portabello mushroom, and turkey breast for my savory, and the matcha souffle pancake ($24.95) for my sweet. The frittata came out first. The shape wasn't quite what I was expecting, as it looked more like an egg pancake (it was large and thin) rather than a frittata, but it was good. I got it with a side of fruit and plain bagel, so it was a relatively light breakfast. The matcha souffle pancakes came out after ~25 minutes or so, which isn't bad at all. The menu said to expect a 45 minute wait on weekdays, but no one else was ordering the souffle pancake so it came out much quicker than expected. I have mixed feelings about the souffle pancakes. On one hand, they're super soft and jiggly and almost just melts in your mouth. I really liked them from a texture point of view. I also thought they had the right amount of sweetness. However, even though it comes covered in a green matcha sauce and I'm sure they added some matcha into the pancake itself, I couldn't taste any matcha. If I had known that earlier, I would've ordered one of the other souffle pancakes where the flavor comes through more. Also, they are pretty pricey for what they are... yes the pancakes are massive, but it's the first time I paid more for pancakes than for my entree at brunch. My friend ordered the Mama Bea Omelet ($22.95) and really enjoyed it. It was his first time getting an omelet with salsa on top, and I have a feeling it won't be the last! The scalloped potatoes on the side were delicious as well. He also got the house coffee (called Cup of Joe on the menu) for $3.75 and enjoyed the unlimited refills. Would recommend all brunch and pancake lovers to come and try brunch here!
Wait Time: (None) For the bar. It clears up pretty fast, there's spots outside since it's chilly but wait time for a table inside is about 40 minutes on a Saturday night. Service: Everyone is very helpful. Service was prompt and they have a full staff of your sitting at the bar, you'll get Top Notch Service. Food: Great will visit again.
We always love eating here!! our must order is the green tea tiramisu pancakes. always. also the siam benedict is one of my favorite dishes. it's different but incredible
Here's the revised version with the first two paragraphs unchanged and the update reflected at the end: We had a great experience at Cici's Cafe. I ordered the CC Café omelette and it was very good and super filling. The chicken apple sausage was a standout--really flavorful and delicious. We also shared the matcha soufflé pancakes, and wow. They were rich, fluffy, and absolutely delicious without being overly sweet. We did have to wait for a table, so I'd definitely expect a wait during busier times, especially on the weekend. Overall, great food and a spot I'd happily come back to.
Pancakes, this place is all about their pancakes! And long waits... We got their Panang Curry and Lava Omelet along with their Straberry Souffle Pancake and Banoffee Souffle cup. Gave us a good savory and sweet brunch. We really liked it all. The curry dish is a must. Both souffles were good, so you should leave without trying at least one souffle. We had approx 30min of wait and another 45min of wait for their souffles. There will be a lot of waiting. Was it worth it? Even with all the waiting? Yes. If you have a super chill weekend and wouldn't mind a late breakfast, its worth it. I would recommend this place.
Randomly found this place and it was delicious! Big menu and big portions! LOTS of French toast, pancakes, and waffle flavours. They even have soufflé pancakes but we didn't order any. Line gets long so expect to wait a bit but theirs turnover seems to be quick. On our visit, we tried the Aloha Pancakes, Loco Moco Benny, The Chopper (with pancakes), and a Mexican dish that we can't remember the name... oops! But everything tasted great! Not a lot of parking spaces but there are street parking available too. Friendly staff and they seem to be a well-oiled machine so you'll get a typical diner experience here.
Literally another brunch run with my bestie today. I got the combo steak, eggs and crepes and she got the parang curry plate. Everything was so good. Not a long wait time today and their food always comes out hot and fresh. We ordered an iced cappuccino but it wasn't sweetened. We asked a staff to give us sweetener which they did. Another successful lady C's brunch and will always be our go to in the valley. I crave for their food all the time!!
We've been coming to Cici's Café for years, mainly for breakfast -- and it never disappoints. The food is always amazing, and we've tried a variety of dishes over time. The staff is friendly, the portions are generous, and everything comes out fresh and flavorful. Just a heads-up: weekends get really busy, so expect a long wait. Your best bet is to come super early or closer to brunch to beat the rush. But honestly, it's worth the wait every single time. One of our favorite go-to breakfast spots!

Wait times are long but if you get there early enough, you might only have to wait 20-30 mins max. However, when you get seated you might want to order your food right away especially if you're hungry because depending on what you order (soufflé, specialty orders) it will take anywhere from 30-45 minutes. Having said that, it is TOTALLY WORTH THE WAIT in my opinion and I will definitely be going back with my boyfriend. Staff was very friendly even though it's always crazy busy all the time. read more

Came back to Cici's again! Food is excellent as always! We got the locomoco and beef curry over rice and it was the perfect savory big brunch I needed. The beef was so tender and the sauce was very tasteful. Since it was a holiday weekend, the wait was long; however, it's always worth the wait. The servers are so nice! Can't wait to come back again. read more

The food is scrumptious! The service from the employees is top notch. If you can get yourself up in the morning to eat here, you indulge yourself in great food and awesome service. Their hollandaise sauce for their Benedict's is delicious! Their hot chocolate is also amazing. read more

The soufflés are worth trying, but honestly the Dutch baby is better. And this is coming from someone who usually loves fluffy and eggy things. The Dutch baby with strawberries and mascarpone is DELICIOUS. Definitely get it with mascarpone!!! Don't get me wrong, the berry berry soufflé was not bad, it just wasn't as good. read more
We arrived 9am on Sun. for 2 of us. There wasn't any line, we got a table right away. Bring a proof of your vaccination, it was requires to sit inside. We didn't order soufflé pancake since it was going to take for 1h to be prepared. We got a strawberry pancake and classic egg Benedict. Both were awesome!! Pancake wasn't soufflé, but it was still airly and fluffy to me. We were happy with our order. Tables were a bit too close to each other too me, they had 3-4 feet between the tables. Service: Our waitresses was attentive even she wasn't much friendly. Parking: It is in a huge strip mall, you will most likely secure a parking unless the restaurant gets crazy busy. I really like this place! They have so many different types of pancakes to satisfy my sweet tooth! I've tried 3 different types of souffle pancakes so far: the matcha green tea, the tiramisu, and the strawberry cheesecake. I think the tiramisu was my favorite thus far. I really want to try their dessert souffles as well. Oh, and the pancakes topped with blueberry coulis and lavender whipped cream! read more

Super busy on a Sunday morning gave me the expectation that this place would be super tasty & the food did not disappoint! Although we were tempted to get souffle pancakes, the menu indicates that on a weekend it can take 40-60 minutes to make! I wasn't going to wait for that so we opted for some more simple dishes. My boyfriend got the Chopper combo with a turmeric chai latte and I got the chicken curry burrito with an earl grey latte. Both drinks were quite sweet, my boyfriend didn't even finish his. The burrito was a pleasant mix of my favorite dishes - breakfast burrito & curry. Overall a pleasant experience! read more

A review from me is overdue after having breakfast multiple times in the last 5 or 6 years. This place is very popular and for good reason. It's a large menu but that presents you with so many options. I do come here for their souffle pancakes. Their regular pancakes are just as good and there are other items on the menu I can recommend like the beef panang curry & lava omelet and their hot chocolate. read more

I've been here years ago and can't believe I never wrote a review for it. Anyway, better late than never. I came here as soon as we touched LA after driving from the Bay, so we got here right at 8am. Luckily, it was senior citizen time because we didn't have to wait. They do check vaccination cards and IDs for indoor dining. Everything on the menu was $15+ (I don't remember it being that expensive). Although the portions are generous, it can get pricey. If you want any type of souffle, pancakes or single, the wait will be 45 min to make. I originally wanted to try it but when she told me that, I switched it up to the loco moco benedict. When I saw the other tables get their souffle, it was massive! I would not be able to finish that and my company would have been disappointed to wait 45 min for something I'm not gonna finish haha. It did look good though. Probably can feed up to 4 people. The loco moco benedict was fire. The gravy was more on the sweet side but that didn't bug me as much. Hashbrowns were extra crispy, just how I like 'em. BF got the apple cinnamon french toast. Super sweet but I could eat the apple slices by itself. By the time we walked out like 830-9am. The line was flooding the parking lot. Def a great breakfast spot that will satisfy any craving. read more

The menu is quite overwhelming but I've learned that no matter what you order here, you won't be disappointed. I've visited quite a few times and loved everything so far. You can't go wrong with the pancakes (whether regular or souffle), so order whatever your heart desires. If you're leaning towards something savory, the chicken and waffles are incredible and the panang benedict is unreal. read more

I'm usually a diner guy when it comes to breakfast. This place was a fun option -- with unique dishes blending Thai, Mexican and American breakfast fare. I went with the Beef Panang Curry and Lava Omelette, and a coffee. Coffee was great and the omelette was perfect. The beef was a little overcooked but all the flavors were on point and, overall, I really enjoyed it. Next time I'll go with something lighter (they could use more creative light options on the menu), like a seafood and egg pairing. Atmosphere is darker than most breakfast spots but that's kind of a relief in the SFV. Service was refreshingly friendly, fast and attentive. read more

I've heard numerous great things about this place from friends. I went to see what the hype was about. The food was marvelous and flavorful followed by a pleasant presentation. The only downside is the wait time but it's worth the wait. I do recommend this place to friends and family for breakfast or brunch. The Loco Moco Egg Benedict is a must try. Flavorful and savory. 9/10. read more

Classic breakfast spot in the San Fernando Valley. I wouldn't get anything other than their sweet dessert options. Took out two stars due to the disorganization with their service. Their were multiple guests who were in line and they were not doing an accurate job of sitting the right guests based off the order. Their waiters were also slow with the overall service. I would like to try their newer, modern, second location. read more

What a huge and inventive menu ! OK, my first impression makes me think this is definitely 4.5 stars. Maybe more, but more research is required, hehe. A good breakfast pal suggested this Valley nugget, and I'm glad to have made the journey. Based on the reviews, I thought the lines might have been scary, but that was not the case. Still, the sprawling dining room was packed around early-lunch on a weekday. Tiramisu Soufflé is a gorgefest, and very tasty. Great for sharing, as it's a sugar bomb with lots of sparkle. (Chocolate chips, mascarpone cream, cocoa powder & whipped cream). I would ordinarily never order such a thing, but that's what friends are for. Glad to jump into this messy mountain of pancake. Yes, it does remind me of tiramisu, and it's fun. The menu has scrambles, omelets, sandwiches, burritos, burgers, curries, over a dozen Benedicts, plus Cioppino !? Wow....I mean it goes on and on. But, we countered our soufflé with a more sedate and simple dish of waffle with bacon and eggs. That was pretty great in its own right. I liked the easy go-to taste of a classic buttermilk waffle. Yum. I had been previously caffeinated, so I cannot report on the coffee. But, I look forward to returning sometime soon and diving much more deeply into the institution known as CiCi's Cafe. Note: This location is closed this week as they do some renovations. The decor did look a bit tired, but frankly, I was too busy looking at the food. They'll be back up at the end of Sept, 2019. read more
Parking: there is parking for Cici's. My recommendation is for you to pull into the earlier driveways if you're coming from the west side cause it's a one way parking lot and fills up fast. There's also street parking on Wilbur. This place gets crowded! So come early to get a seat or come early to wait. We got seated at the bar and it was pretty cramped. Also, please be patient with your food cause it'll take a while to come! I got the chicken wings and waffles and YUM! The wings were so flavorful and crispy, a tad too salty for my taste but I guess that's why it paired well with a plain waffle. The waffle was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Very good and tasty! We also shared a soufflé pancake, it was so fluffy and airy, it taste like cake! I liked this place, I'd come again! read more

CiCi's Cafe had great reviews so we decided on this trip we would try it. A reservation is recommended. There was a very long line. Parking behind the restaurant is recommended. We were a huge party and everyone wanted to try something different. The menu was like a book and too many pages to photograph. We ordered two batches of Soufflé Pancakes to try. One was chocolate and the other Green Tea. It takes 25 minutes for a Soufflé. I had Crab Cakes Benedict. My husband had a crab cake sandwich. Another guest had a Veggie Frittata. Everything was really delicious! The service was excellent. The menu offered some very interesting dishes and coffee drinks too. We will definitely go back to this venue when we visit LA again. read more

A few outdoor seating but not ideal since people waiting to get in stand next to you and watch you eat. No dogs inside allowed I believe.

Are you open for dine in?
Hi! Yes we are open for dine indoors! However, please note that our tables is very limited and only comes at a first come, first serve basis. In the meantime, we also have a lot of our outdoor tables outside in the front.
Do they take reservations?
When I went it was self seating, placed our order at the counter then set our number on the table in order for them to bring our food. They were friendly, quick, and efficient.
How long is the wait usually? let's say If I arrive around 9 am.
I went on a Sunday morning just a week ago around this time and there was no wait. It seems like the earlier you get there the better chance of not having a wait. You can also call ahead to ask them as well.

Hi, we do not have any indoor seating at this time. We are currently open for outdoor dining, takeout and curbside service.
