Don't venture into one of their 4 Seattle-area shops unless you are ready to add a sweet new addiction to your repertoire. Their macarons are the stuff fluffy dreams are made of. I've had many macarons in my somewhat long life, and these are the best I've ever tasted. Several people who have actually visited the delicacy's home country of France have concurred that their confections are on par or even better than some of the top patisseries of France and greater Europe. I can't attest to their statements, but I'm sure they're not far off. They offer 12 standard flavors and each season will bring new seasonal delights sure to keep you coming back for more with each turn of the earth on its axis. Their staff is wonderful at each location I've ventured into, and they'll package them up for you with care and themed stickers for whatever occasion you might be buying them for. Do yourself a favor and pick up a punch card, with every 10 boxes of 15 you buy, you'll get one for free. You can also ask them for the seconds (which are those that maybe aren't as pretty to show in the glass case, but taste just as lovely) which are much cheaper and allow you to indulge without beating your wallet up too much. So if you dare to venture into one of their charming little shops, don't say I didn't warn you. read more

This is a very small space that sells delicious macarons and sparkling wine. We bought a selection box so got to try most of the flavors. They were all really great. Although I think the macarons look better than they taste in general, and they are quite big... the cream filling is a bit too much and some of them have chewy shells(not sure if that's by design but was a bit unpleasant to eat...). I'm a big fan of Lady Yum and I have to come here at least twice a month, but today I'm so disappointed and pissed with the customer service that the young lady provided. I decided to buy a pack of 8 instead of 10 cause I don't want to keep them too long in the fridge. That young lady told me I can't get a box for 8 macaroons, so she have to put on paper bag, but when I was in the line, I did witness she gave a box to the other customer in front of me when that customer also bought 8 macaroons. If you'd like, you can take this review with a grain of salt since I personally have only had macarons twice in my life. Both times were from here (different locations). In my opinion, I think they're yummy. My wife bought the 10 piece box. Not all flavors are good, but that obviously depends on the person! My favorite is the chocolate mint, chocolate, and the strawberry. I tried Lady Yum at the airport in Seattle and recently at one of their locations Downtown. The store in the city was nice! Very clean, organized, well decorated, and perfect for some Instagram pictures. The service from the person working there was good! She was friendly and helpful. They are quite expensive, but I think you're paying for the brand/aesthetic. The macarons are obviously pleasant to look at, the store is set up for a nice "upscale" experience with good photo opportunities, they give you nice packaging to go, and so on. It seems like they set up a good brand identity. As for the macarons themselves, like I said, they were good. Somehow, I feel like they could be better. My wife said they were good too, but likes the ones from Trader Joe's a lot more. One thing I noticed is that these are pretty chewy. My wife and our friend noticed that too, and it seems like it's one of those things you'll like or dislike about them. From their experience AND other people's reviews, it seems like not all macarons are chewy. The flavors were hit and miss. We got 10 different ones, and only like about 4 of them. It's a bummer for someone trying these for the first time and spending $25 for 10 small macarons, only to like a few of them. Would I come back? Eh...maybe. I want to venture out and try other macarons first, then I can decide if these are really worth the hype. My recommendation to a first time customer? Try one or two. See if you like the texture and flavor before spending a lot of money here. Would I recommend this place? Yeah. They were yummy enough that I think people should at least give it a shot. The store was also nice if you're looking for something "modern/upscale". 3 out of 5 stars from me. So you're probably wondering how a 2 star adventure in a completely different state miraculously turned into 5. I'm here to tell you! Not that long ago Lady Yum herself messaged me saying that the issue I had actually pointed out with my macarons turned out to be a problem with their ovens and they wanted to send me some macarons just as a thank you and asked for my address. Not one to pass up free cookies (and macarons no less) I said sure and responded with where the free goodies could be dropped off. Since we are in 2018 and they didn't come the next day I promptly forgot. But Lady Yum didn't forget about me. And apparently they managed to ship one of every single flavor wrapped in 2 bubble wrap packages; surrounded in bubble wrap and ice bags. Granted it being summer and I wasn't sure how long these cookies were in my mailbox I wasn't holding out too much hope for quality. How wrong I was. When I say the "strawberries tasted like strawberries and the snozzberries tasted like snozzberries!" (Willy Wonka reference, they do not offer snozzberry as a flavor). My hat goes off to Lady Yum and her crew for going above and beyond to turn this mediocre review into a rave! read more

I didn't think it was possible to eat so many macarons in one sitting. In all honesty, I wasn't planning on buying more than two or three, much less buying eight. There were so many flavors I wanted to try, I just couldn't settle on so few. I ate my first one moments after walking out of the shop. It was amazing.
