The noodles were tender, and slightly chewy. The shrimps were plump and the egg gravy was smooth, velvety, glossy, and slightly thick enough to coat the noodles. The dish was flavorful yet some how light. The staff isn't too friendly but they are efficient. They did not rush us to leave even after we long finished our food and was just chatting away. So I recommend going for dinner. The must-get is the sweet and sour pork. It's perfectly evenly fried, super chewy and crispy outer layer, and a thin pork layer. The sauce is sweet and tangy. Another delicious dish is the BBQ green beans. The mushrooms are super juicy and the cumin goes surprisingly well with the green beans. Their other dishes that I like are: beef fried rice and the dumplings! They also have a frozen section for frozen buns and frozen dumplings. Overall I would come back!

The first thing I noticed was that there was really not many pieces of ribs, maybe they made the ribs portion smaller to make room for the lap cheung I ordered? The dish description also says that it includes taro, but I didn't have a single piece of taro in my pot. Strangely, although this place seems to share a kitchen with Social Eatery, the rice was cooked much more poorly here, which is obviously a shame for a place specializing in clay pot rice. It seems like the rice had too much water added, so it was a bit overcooked - you couldn't feel the "single grain" mouthfeel texture you should expect from well-cooked, high quality rice. Since the rice was too mushy, it obviously didn't crisp well either. Though it had some small amount of bits stuck to the edges of the metal (not clay!) pot, it was definitely not the super crispy, well browned "faan ziu" I expect, and not at all like the pictures featured in some earlier reviews of this restaurant.

After a short wait, they offered us free loose leaf tea in an elegant teapot and matching tea cups. What a way to start! We ordered a mix of items for us to share and the waitresses were super attentive - gave us cups and waters, forks when we asked for them, small bowls, etc. Upon delivery of each dish, they mixed the noodles for us too, which was nice. The best item was definitely the vegetarian biang biang noodles. The noodles were so tasty, had a good chew, and the sauce was just perfect. Just be warned, it's one long, really wide noodle. Everything else was great, but we did order a lot of oily and spicy dishes so you felt full pretty quick. Only feedback is that the cucumbers and mushrooms could've had a bit more seasoning. And for those who don't like a nutty taste in their sauces, don't get the cold spicy sesame noodles. I'll be back for more biang biang noodles!

The menu is considered simple for chinese restaurant. We ordered biang biang noodle, rice noodle with minced pork, pickled beans and hot chili oil, and chili oil wonton. The food was yummy. Thecrice noodle portion is generous. Biang biang noodle is smaller portion which is normal. Chilinoil wonton was good. It was pretty good service and experience for new restaurant.
