Parking: located at the village, parking is across the street for a fee or 2 hour street parking Food: first off, all food during these times are in plastic containers even when you're dining outside. We ordered the coconut shrimp, chicken wings, and fried rice. The shrimps pretty good but 6 pieces is a hefty price per shrimp. Chicken wings were soaked in buffalo sauce. The veggies in the plate were soaked as well from the sauce. Fried rice is probably the best of the bunch. Not amazing but good. Drinks I ordered the pina colada but it didn't taste too well mixed? It's a nice blended drink but not something I'd reorder. Service: great and friendly! The food came out so quick so that was a huge plus when waiting outside for your food. Village lodge recommended the establishment to watch NFL game and dinner. Horrible service, stand in line to get food or drink, unable to walk up to the bar for a drink, no cork screw to order bottled wine, and we had to wait outside the kitchen to ask for plates, silverware, or sauce. This restaurant is losing money by not allowing easy access to bartenders or cocktail servers. Standing in line you could hear people wanting drinks and growing frustrated. No diet soda or soda available for kids or non drinkers. Food was average but no one checks back with you even if it was not. No one cleans off tables so glasses etc accumulate until you take glasses back to the bar. Bar server seems miserable. People gather outside to smoke which ruins it for Village Mammoth patrons. Cannot recommend this place enough. Great spot next to the gondolas in Mammoth! The staff there are very kind and love creating the fancy drinks for their customers. Family dinner here, sitting outside with our dog. The place was hopping on a Wednesday at 6pm! I'm just reviewing the food since that's all we ordered. No drinks. Order at the bar and then seat yourself. They bring the food out to you. The good: - my daughters ordered the poke bowls which were good. They have small appetites so it was enough. They said the ahi tuna was fresh. Thumbs up from them. -garlic fries were really good and crispy (just ignore the really big puddle of grease they were sitting in). -love the atmosphere of The Village -help yourself to pitchers of water at the end of the bar. The meh: -my husband's mahi mahi fish tacos were okay. He got them battered and they were bland and a bit overcooked. A lot of sauce and coleslaw and chopped mangos on them which were tasty but quite messy. -my burger was disappointing. The patty itself is the frozen kind, tasted charcoal grilled but too well done. I have been meaning to write this review for a few months. Memorial day weekend of this year, my friend and I were assaulted in the girls bathroom of this restaurant. This was right after we spent over $70 in drinks that we did NOT even get to drink due to this situation. I don't know if It was the manager of the store or owner, but they were aware of the situation (we called the police) and when asked to have them pay/refund that money to us for the $70, we were treated as an inconvenience and were told they can't pay for those drinks...lol. The $70 doesn't even include the $5 cover charge that my party of 7 EACH paid. A total of $100 just to step foot in a bar for 5 minutes. My family and I grew up in Mammoth and have NEVER had an experience like this. None of us will ever come back to this place - it totally ruined our memorial day weekend. read more

We ordered: Huli Huli Wings Poke Nachos Poke Bowl Mahi Mahi Tacos Lobster Roll Mac 'n' Cheese Mai Tai IPA 3 Virgin Pina Coladas $150 total They give you a table number and bring the food to your table. We have four kids, ranging from 13 to 2. When two waitstaff brought food to our table, we said, "Oh, that's not ours," and the female of the two said, "Ugh, fuck." Right in front of our family. The younger male just looked at us blankly and said, "Are you sure?" to which we replied with our items and then they left and returned shortly with our correct order. Have our kids heard curse words, yes. Do we expect to hear them casually used by staff at a reputable dining establishment? No. Aside from all this, this the worst thing we observed: A woman had just walked away from the bartop, she had just ordered and she had her hands full with a baby and a glass of ice water. She spilled a little on the floor because the baby was squirmy. A gentleman in line behind her told her, "You go on ahead, I'll let them know about the spill, don't worry." They lady thanked him and left to find a table. The nice man told the female bartender (who had rolled her eyes at me earlier) and instead of letting staff know so they could clean it up, SHE HANDED THE GENTLEMAN-CUSTOMER NAPKINS SO *HE* COULD CLEAN IT UP, which he did. He got on his hands and knees to wipe up the water. I was absolutely mortified for him and embarrassed by this treatment of the staff! It was awful to watch, we left feeling terrible. Such a cute bar! The perfect mix of tacky knick knacks and good drinks and late night crowds. The place had plenty of local beers on tap. And I give it a lot of credit for carrying a favorite Hawaii beer - Hinano! After a cold day of skiing, I tried the hot buttered rum and loved it! Highly recommended! From an outsider that visits once a year and that has been coming here for the past 5 years, I have to say its one of the bars that I enjoy coming to. We came with a group of girls last Saturday night around 11p and the DJ was playing and everyone was dancing. They had 2 wedding party's there living it up so the dance floor was packed. Everyone was enjoying themselves. Surprisingly the bar area was quick and bartenders served drinks fast so there wasn't any really wait to get our drinks. Staff is pretty laid back and friendly and security guy up front is on point with checking ID's, back patio area is great when u need a breather and some fresh air but still want to listen to the music and enjoy your drink. It's been a solid 11 years since I've been here and while I'm not a late-night club party guy, I'm glad we looked at the menu and gave these guys a look. Waited on a socially distant line for drinks served by the very pleasant Kyler - before taking them to outdoor sections to sit with our small group (my wife and dog). Another day we came back and grabbed more cocktails and beer, before placing an order for to-go food to eat at our rental. LOTS of options for grub, including grass fed meats, and we were more than pleasantly surprised by the choices, quality, and affordability compared to a lot of the other village options. We have been coming to Mammoth once or twice a year (summer/fall) for a long time. This was the first time that we finally ventured into Lakanuki. There are 4 of us on a girls trip and we wanted something within walking distance from our condo after a day of fly fishing and hiking. Before you read all the other reviews, you must know that they have a new menu and a new chef. This has made a dramatic difference with the type of food they now serve. It's no longer one of those bars it just has fried food. They have an island style menu that Kept me interested and was very different from all the other restaurants in the village. So if you want something different this is definitely a must try!!!!!! I want to start with the staff and their integrity. Recently I had my daughter and I forget everything. I came to visit a loved one and I forgot my brand new "Tony Birch" bag. It was a present and I seriously didn't realized it was missing until the next day. I also forgot I had my rent money in my wallet. I never do that by the way. Anyhow the next day I called at 3pm and they said they had a purse. I went to get it and yes it was was mine. Nothing was missing and my rent money was completely there. Being from Los Angeles, this is rare and would never happened. Lol. I was very impressed with their honest staff and service. In this category I give them the 5. As far as food and drinks, I give it 3.5. I loved their drink menu and virgin drinks. Their drinks are tropical and come in crazy cups with a lot of fruit. Their drinks were also very strong, which is a plus. We had a lobster roll, that was amazing and full of lobster. Many restaurants don't really put a lot of lobster in their rolls. So I have to say they are not shy with the amount of meat they put in their meals. You also have to try their garlic fries. This is a must if you are a garlic lover. It was sent back and we wait. 10 min goes by and we get the correct item. It was the pork nachos. Man. That shit was COLD. The cheese was hardened. The sour cream started to curdle. Pork is cold. Not so good either. Hella jalapeños. I understand when it's busy and shit like this happens but this was just laughable. MEDIOCRE. Kraft Mac n cheese came and it was dry and barely any in our little cup of Mac n cheese. Fries were soggy. Btw the guy next to us got his food after us. Lol. The garlic fries were underdone, the key lime pie was frozen (as advertised) but so cold/hard it was laborious to get any apart with a metal spoon. Poke bowl didn't use sushi rice but regular underdone white rice. Place was loud, crowded during happy hour, and self seating with ordering at a counter. We gave this place the benefit of the doubt but we should have known better considering it was the only place with any available tables on Sunday night this holiday weekend. The grande pork nachos were served cold with very little pork. They weirdly came with beer cheese which would have been okay hot but beer cheese cold is gritty. So gross. They also served our sodas with so much ice there was barely any actual drink in our drinks. Check out people and wait staff also seemed unhappy.
