Utterly insane that the Lake Park Diner has mediocre reviews on Yelp. This is a PHENOMENAL restaurant--my favorite place in the area. The food is high quality at very reasonable prices. I live nearby and don't have time to cook so I eat there up to 3 times per week. Can't say I've ever been disappointed with a meal there. You almost can't go wrong with anything on the menu. You can get a great meal for under $20 or have a feast for $35. There are plenty of healthy options too. The burgers are great and are made with grass-fed beef. All the chicken sandwiches are fantastic. Wings are very good. The sides come in large portions (you get one free with entrees). Brussels sprouts and sweet potatoe fries are my favorites. The butter cake a la mode for dessert is world-class (for all you fatties). You order and pay at the counter up front when you walk in. You can tip (cash) right there or leave a cash tip on the table when you're done. This is actually a superior method so you don't have to spend extra time after the meal. Ashley, the manager, is wonderful. She does a great job and is genuinely one of the nicest people I know. Give the Lake Park Diner a chance--it's terrific. Oh my gosh - what to say... let me start with the fact that we love a good diner and we're exited to check this one out. While prices are low and all the food looks absolutely fabulous, However, somehow the place manages to squeeze all taste out of it. Literally the food tastes like NOTHING!!!! It's like alien food or the stuff found as plastic samples behind glass. My hazelnut milkshake looked delicious but was warm and had the consistency of lukewarm chocolate milk, the doughnut did not only look like plastic, but tasted like it as well. Our french fries where cold and so overly crispy, they literally created small dust explosions in my mouth. The chicken was also overdone and everything was perfectly without ANY taste. I placed an online order and accidentally selected the wrong location. When I showed up for my food, they obviously didn't have it. Everyone from the cashier to the manager was so nice and gracious about the situation. They cooked my order fresh, within 20 mins, even though it was a busy Friday night. Had ordered take out, got the chicken blt...i have ordered this atleast 5 times before and had no issues. Unfortunately, the changed the bread it came on, instead a the french baguette it was grilled sourdough. The sandwich was dry (too much bread and not enough chicken). After having eaten here 3 times I think it'll be a long time before I come back. The main problem seems to be inconsistent food which likely stems from lack of training or just bad employees. Last night the food was very fair. Nothing was dressed properly. Burger was overdone. Lettuce wraps were sour. Chicken soup was tasteless. Nothing was good. To top it off the restaurant seemingly doesn't mind that there's hundreds of flies all around. There's no excuse. Close the outdoor bar and make sure the doors and windows are shut. It's summer. No one wants to eat outside. I will also add that the restaurant is dirty. Floors are unswept. Booths and tables are not wiped. It's a shame because the product itself is great. I do like the concept of a fast casual diner too. But yeah, I don't want to dine with flies. That's like the final straw. read more

Will never be back. Long line to order and we have 6 people including our two granddaughters. We found a table for 6 and sat down while two of us ordered. We were told to leave the table since we had to all wait in line and order. One thing for certain, we won't be back. Finally ordered and took a seat with our number stick... close to the line , food came quickly BUT , they had burnt the bread on my cuban sandwich ( badly ) but chose to serve it anyway, didnt feel like having my wife eat alone, so just ate it anyway , many regrets ! We had dinner at the Founders Square location and we were so impressed with everything but especially impressed by manager, Ashley Sweeney. Wow, the pride she took in her job was so evident. She knew the regulars by name and took time to speak with them. She jumped on the cash register when the line was just a little long. She checked in with each table. She ran food. She was all over the place, totally in control and all the time with the biggest smile. If I was a restaurant owner, I would hire her in a second. Lake Park is lucky to have her. (ps. Went to the Lake Park diner today (Saturday) for breakfast at 9:15am. There were 2 families waiting outside and the doors were locked. They thought it would open at 9:30 for brunch. At 9:40am an employee came out and said they would open at 11:00am. I asked him what kind of diner opens at 11am? He replied saying "Yeah, it's a bad name". Never going back. read more

We have been here 4 times now. The first 3 visits were during the first month or two they were open and they were very busy then. Tonight, Although the food was good the service was lackluster. The young girls at the register were not very friendly. Almost seemed like we were bothering them? Even though they're just taking orders and your money customer service is something we should all strive to maintain. Doesn't have to be great. Just be pleasant, thankful and friendly. Extremely overpriced for mediocre food. Spent over $90 on 3 items and a nasty milkshake that had stale donut on top with stale cereal wrapped around the glass cup, there was also hair in my 10 month old grapes and the cashier/server didn't want to give me fresh grapes because "it was closing time" an hour and 15 minutes before closing time. I ordered a Cuban sandwich it was flavorless. Wife ordered a rice bowl with mojo pork also very flavorless and dry. I'll start by saying lake park is a staple for our family. My kids are super picky but love lake park. We live in the estates so we were super stoked when we found out they were building this. Well after visiting multiple times, I'm sad to give it a 2. Truly. Each time we've been, the drinks from the bar are underwhelming or just different all together from the ones you would get downtown. The food is pretty consistent in our experience, with the exception of my wife who always get the same salad and every time she gets it at the new location she has to ask for more dressing. Our biggest issue is the lack of service after you get your food. No water refills. No offers of more drinks from the bar of milkshakes. That to me is one of the best parts of the downtown location. read more
