Word on the street is that the resort is now owned by a corporation in Mexico City, so that is why it's impossible to call and ask about hours or anything like that. The restaurant is open for breakfast and dinner. They are short staffed so it is buffet only. Breakfast was standard hotel buffet fare (scrambled eggs, pancakes, sausage, fruit cocktail, etc). Quality was decent, especially for the Poconos. $15/person. Probably the best thing about this place is the view. On a Sunday morning we were the only guests and had the patio to ourselves. So if you are looking for a view and/or are especially hungry, check it out.

Came to Split Rock for this weekend, the whole family, party of 10. After some deliberation whether to eat in pub downstairs, we headed upstairs for the better menu and view from the outside deck. We get up there, with a rather large party (8 adults / 2 children) and were seated quickly - inside because outside was filled up. Within 15. minutes, water was poured, bread arrived and our orders were taken. We ordered 8 various small plates, and 2 kids meals, and 2 salads. After waiting about 25-30 minutes, the first food came out, 1 kid's meal, and a pair avocado quesadillas, only they forgot the avocado?? so they brought out some on the side about 5 minutes later, along with a other meal. apologies for the wait were given, but now we were at about 45-50 minutes since we ordered a handful of simple small dishes, and we had no refills on beverages, or bread, and 5 adults and a child with no food - not even a salad ???? It was particularly frustrating since a party of six was seated next to us after we had been there 5 minutes, and they literally had finished their dinner with dessert, paid their bill and were leaving. We had enough, called over the manager, as the 2nd kids meal was being brought out - the other 5 adult meals nowhere in sight adter nearly and hour of waiting. We cut our losses, paid for what we had actually received, plus tip, and left. VERY DISAPPOINTED in this place. I was told the food that did come out was mediocre at best, but I would not know first hand, because my meal never came out. Seems my review is in the minority - I guess time will tell.

Besides the amazing view of Lake Harmony, there isn't enough I can say about the food - it was excellent! Alex is the best host/waiter ever, giving us suggestions and interesting tidbits about the food, not to mention he has a great sense of humor.

We walked in and waited 10 minutes while the rude manager ignored us right in front of his face. He then told us it would be about a fifteen minute wait even though the place was mostly empty with many tables open. No one was at the bar or even seemed slightly interested that we may want a drink while waiting. Our waitress forgot to bring out bread and blamed it on the busboy. When the food finally came out, the "Angel hair pasta" was a plate full of canned stewed tomatoes with about a fork full of pasta. My girlfriend's son got BBQ wings which had a hair in them. At least they took the nasty pasta off the bill. Waist of time and money.

We didnt want to waste a drop! So we got this wrapped up and enjoyed the leftovers all cozied up in our hotel room. Yummy!!!

My family and I went here last night for dinner. All I can say is "WOWZA!!!! " We got a few smalls plates to share and everything was so incredibly delicious, it's hard to choose my favorite. I guess I'll have to go with the mahi mahi fish tacos as my absolute fave, then probably the filet mignon sliders followed by the scallops. Everything was delicious, beautifully presented, and reasonably priced. Topped off with a delicious glass of crisp cold Reisling, awesome service, picturesque lake views and a super talented piano player to add some ambience; I can safely say this was without a doubt, one of the best meals I've had in a long time. I definitely recommend a visit here!

We found this place because I was looking for somewhere I could get a beer and walk out and around the town of Jim Thorpe (I believe they allow it here). But ended up staying for the vibes and plus we were super hungry. I wish I remembered our waitresses name but I believe she had pink in her hair. She allowed me and my girlfriend to sample some beers that she thought we would like because we were hesitant and what to order. We got the sangria sour beer and the white ale which were perfect for us. We also saw online that everyone loved the smash burger so we had to try it. We added truffle fries for 3 dollars which was so worth it. Some of the best fries we have ever had. Also I think we decided it was the best smash burger we have ever had. We both have never tried bacon jam and we were a bit hesitant about the pimento cheese as well. I think my favorite moment from this trip was sitting at the bar here and eating this meal. Plus the burger lived up to the hype. Thank you to the waitress we had you made our day!

It did take awhile for food and drinks to come out. I had the beef tips, which were generously portioned and very tasty. Cocktails were OK, but a bit unbalanced. Their gin martini - titled "the best martini in the US" (sic), did not live up to its namesake, but I still enjoyed it. The number of vegetarian/vegan menu items has shrunk from our prior visit a few years ago. It would be nice to have more diversity on the food menu. The price was fair, and I would definitely return.

The staff was very nice and seated us promptly, we were sat at a table that was booth on one side and chair on the other but it was an extra tall bar stool type table. Soon as I sat down the sun was right in my eyes. Yes only a small nuisance till the bar tender shut a blind (because the bar folks were effected) but there were so many empty table. Why sit us at this table ? There were plenty of other tables that would not have had this issue. Not sure why the hostess would not know not to use this table for this time of day. Other then that the place was very clean and a normal pub type atmosphere. Nothing super special though. We started off with an appetizer called the "Texas Twinkie" - okay. I read "twinkie" and think some form of cake/bread with a filling. What we got was more of an egg roll. The outside was either a wonton type wrap or a tortilla then filled with brisket, cream cheese, cheddar cheese, jalapeño, and BBQ sauce. This was very delicious but definitely misleading in the name and the menu didnt really describe the item, it only give the name and listed the ingredients. I bring this up because we also ordered the traditional pizza.... what we got was more of a flatbread and pretty bland as well. Super basic bread with a lack of flavor marinara sauce and cheese. Also the sauce to cheese ratio was sad. You can tell this because all the cheese on the slice would come right off with 1 bite. We would not order this again based on the price and what was served. I also had the French onion soup. This was pretty well done. Not to salty, no crazy cheeses added. It was well balanced and was worth getting. My partners entree was the barley creek whiskey BBQ sauce on chicken tenders. These were just ok. The sauce seemed more tomatoe based then normal for a BBQ sauce and again just wasn't what one would expect from the name whiskey Bbq sauce. I am sure people do like this place but it wasn't very impressive to us. 3 out 5 stars is a fair rating as service was good for the most part, the place was clean with a decent amount of menu options, but the execution of the food lacked and the menu names are definitely misleading for the items we had ordered.

Three of us ordered Thai chicken and my wife ordered the Bangkok bowl. The ingredients were fresh and carefully selected, as the dish had a slightly sweet curry sauce on it. The chicken thigh was on top of a bed of short grain brown rice appropietly cooked for the dish. Veggies such as broccoli and eggplant were around the edges. The Bangkok bowl was slightly different as the samosas had a fair amount of heat to them. The waiter recommended mixing them with the rice and fried chickpeas, which worked well. For dessert, the rose and cardamom coffee glee had little rose flavor. I asked and they said it was infused as well as the garnish on top, but I failed to taste it. Ditto for the chocolate orange ganache, in which I could not taste the orange flavor. No points lost, the deserts were still better than average, not too sweet. Service was very good, the waiter loved to inform us of what to expect. Also, it was a good place for four of us to sit at a table and enjoy a conversation.
