4 1/2 stars? Really? Come on, people. Does my Jack in the Box review now qualify me for review of the day? This is a wonderful little sandwich shop located on the bottom floor of an office complex. It is quiet and sits, yes, lakeside. If you consider a 50 ft. x 50 ft. koi pond a lake. They have a bunch of ladies, all super friendly, ready to whip out a custom or stock sandwich in seconds. The menu has sandwiches, a few salads, a couple of soups and hot entrees and a rack of chips. They make a nice sandwich but nothing too creative. Just square bread cut diagonally. My sandwich was fine. My bag of chips, delightful. My foam cup of Diet Pepsi ....exceptionally on point. No potato salad or Cole slaw or macaroni salad. I did get a nice pickle spear. Seriously, nothing foodie, nothing amazing and certainly nothing I would drive to. If I worked here, I would be happy to eat here once a week. I have nothing against this place but, please, 4.5 stars??? read more

Nothing special. Had cup of tortilla soup, was just OK, soggy chips. Roast beef sandwich was just plain, bread didn't feel fresh. Was half sandwich and cup of soup but overall meal portion seemed small. read more

Been coming here since I started working in the same complex a couple years ago and it's such a great spot for a quick and healthy lunch.

We've tried all the breakfast places in and around the area looking for our go-to spot where we feel welcome and comfortable and so glad we found this one! No need for an over the top description. If you want good food, they have it. If you want good service, they have it. If you want timeliness, check. If you want normal prices, they have that too. 5 stars! Been coming here for YEARS. Best coffee, breakfast and comfort lunch food! The service is phenomenal. Everyone saying this is expensive? You're literally supporting a tiny business with about 4 employees. You see the ladies working HARD crafting your food to perfection. All I'm going to say is, eat at home! Good quality food will never be $1. Anyway, great place and probably get coffee and breakfast here about 2x a week with no regrets. Also have healthy/vegan options and they cater to my weird requests frequently (adding/removing ingredients etc). The cashier is super sweet and the food is ready super fast. This is my favorite sandwich spot within the area. The prices are reasonable and it happens to be within walking distance of my job. The ingredients are fresh and the staff are SO nice. They always get my order correct and they are prompt during busy hours. My go-to lunch meal is a Turkey, Lettuce, Onion, Cheddar Cheese sandwich combo on a French Roll made to perfection everytime. I wish there were more options for the sides and I am upset they no longer offer half sandwich combos. However, this does not take away from the quality of food. I highly recommend for a local healthy sandwich :) Great job! read more

My co-worker and I love this small cafe. I come here for a healthy lunch. My co-worker always pick up my orders. I honestly do not even know how to get here. I know it's walking distance from my office though. What to try: *Tuna melt *Chinese chicken salad They're my favorite! Price list is dirt cheap compare to my typical lunch. If you work in or around the area this is a must hit spot. Great sandwich and salad quality. They use boars head meats and they have a new espresso machine and are open early as well. I come here about 3 times a week for soups and they never disappoint. Navy bean, french lentil, chicken noodle.. You can call ahead and order so it will be ready when you arrive even. This is my go to place for lunch, when I want good food, fast. But not fast food. Loved their homemade soups: french lentil is divine and feels good when the weather is cool, chicken noodle, taste like my mom made it :) (not salty, just chicken, fresh chopped veggies, and bit peppery and that's how I like it. Sandwiches are awesome! Anything with Avocado is good with me. Had the Chicken Caesar salad today, portion was plentiful, tasty, and the chicken was moist (so yummy, should add more :)! I was a little confused when I walked in. There was a bunch of customers standing around and I wasn't sure where to place my order. I had the chicken spring mix salad (I think that is what its called) and it was really good. decent size. it would have been better if the chicken was warm but it was still a very good salad. Wow how have I not reviewed this place after years of eating here for lunch? Lakeside is tucked away across from the post office down the street from Ikea. You cannot go wrong with any item on the menu here. I love that they use the delicious Boar's Head turkey I usually only find at certain markets, fresh bread, fresh veggies, fresh everything. They have many bread choices which is awesome too. Some of my favorite items are: -Turkey avocado sandwich -Chicken burrito (yum!) -Taco salad -Spring salad with chicken (so fresh) -Ham & apple sandwich -Lakeside special Very nice employees who are quick with my phone-in orders. Great little cafe hidden away in Santa Ana over by the post office. Went there last week and had a very good vege sandwich and enjoyed my lunch there. They have a few outside tables which is nice and the girl at the cash register is very nice. Because I'm not a big meat eater, I'm always VERY HAPPY to find places with a good vege sandwich. I work in the complex and needed four meals to go at around 4pm. I ordered four of the wraps with chips and paid for it in the morning. Promptly at 4pm, my meals were delivered. So, I work in the same business park and time and time again I've had to come here to grab a quick bite to keep myself alive. A few items to stay away from: anything Mexican in the menu, any panini type sandwich or breakfast. They are super friendly people, but they don't have taste buds or spices from what I can tell. Do not go out of your way to eat here, as the high help rating suggests. The chicken burrito has white rice and half cooked black beans in it!!! The meatball sandwich comes standard with black olives?!?!? Just weird combos. Get a salad, keep it simple and make a better plan for dinner. read more
