We were really looking forward to eating here, but ended up being very disappointed! We had a reservation at 6 for New Years Eve and they had us out by 7:15. We didn't get to enjoy our meal b/c they clearly wanted to turn the table. The reservation was confirmed on multiple occasions but there was never any mention of a fixed price, limited menu (not on the website or any confirmation we received from the restaurant) until we sat at the table and were giving the menu only to find an up charge for many of the main courses. The server was quite rude and actually walked away when we started to tell her we were staying, but had some questions. Our outreach to the restaurant to let them know of our experience and disappointment wasn't even acknowledged or responded to. Based on this experience and the apparent disregard for customer service I will not return and would discourage others from visiting if they appreciate an establishment that values its customers. There are plenty of other good places in the area to enjoy. read more

We hadn't been to Lamoraga in quite some time and since they were running a special on their paella, we figured we'd go back. My wife had the Chilean Sea Bass and found it to be excellent. For me, I ordered the paella and was underwhelmed. The dish lacked flavor and I found the rice to be a bit mushy. I hate to use the word disappointed but that's what it turned out to be, a disappointment. We've had their tapas in the past and loved them all, so maybe this was not my night for paella. Made reservations, arrived on time and table wasn't ready. Ordered three plates (famished)...took 45 minutes for first plate to arrive, and it was the wrong item. Waitress was apologetic, but then disappeared for 10 more minutes, finally bringing 1 dish. Was hoping to order a drink, but she disappeared for another 15 minutes. Had to waive down another waiter to ask for a drink. Total time for 5 "small plates" and dessert: 2 hours and 10 minutes. Observed 11 people, seated at four different tables, served three courses each and depart before we completed our meal. Observed the manager apologize for the wait to the table next to ours. I'd like to start off by saying the location is beautiful. They did a great job with the open kitchen concept and making the place look cool. We ordered the sizzle week menu. I got the pricier option, and my wife got the other one. It was okay. I like the initiative they took to write some sort of out of the box menu items, like the blooming eggplant. The execution just didnt do it for me though. Service was alright, waited probably ten minutes when they weren't busy to get water or greeted. After that pretty decent. Food comes in tiny portions, prices are high. Tried the mussels and the grilled artichokes- mussels were nothing to brag about, have eaten tons of them, these are not even close to good, very fatty from the smoked sausage that was in it, artichokes had lots of black residue from the grill (happens when its bot cleaned) which wasn't pleasant. I have ordered a glass of rose wine, was super dry, didn't enjoy at all. The waiter took off half of the price of it which was nice.. My friend got charged twice for her mussels. My other friend got the pork sliders, which are super small and the lobster bisque. The typical bread and olive tapenade were served after the food came and were a joke - 1 tbsp of olive paste and 4 super small baguette slices. On the positive note- staff is very attentive and welcoming. We have chosen to sit outside but got attacked of tons of flies and mosquitos - no screens whatsoever. We are not returning.. read more

Normally don't write reviews but thought people should know the safety measures this restaurant took to make sure we felt comfortable dinning out during this pandemic. All of the tables were very spaced out, the waiters always wore their masks (not like other restaurants where they were not even covered their noses or mouths) and they changed their gloves constantly. This one star is based on customer service and customer service only. Food was great no complaints. I would suggest carry out only if you plan on eating here. I had reservations for a party of 4. When we arrived they were still preparing our table which is expected. They directed us to the bar for a cocktail while we waited. The four of us sat at the bar for 40 minutes making friends with other customers, not one bartender said hello, offered a drink, nothing.... just ignored. Multiple times we had mentioned to each other " did you order your drinks yet?" Right in front of the bartenders. It truly felt like we did not exist and we're being purposely ignored. We were then seated at our table (still no drinks) another 30 minutes go by before our server even offered us something to drink. Anyone taking the time to read this can understand where this is going. The only reason we sat through this ordeal is because we flew in from Detroit this morning and we were all starving, so we decided to tough it out. This restaurant failed on almost every level of customer service. Food was great no complaints. The hardest working person in that place is your valet guy. That man was working! I have been here in the past, with no problems, but tonight I was meeting a group of 12. I got there early and ordered a wine and mussels at the Happy Hour bar. My group arrived as my mussels were just coming out, so I paid my bar bill and said I would take my mussels at our table. Well, the manager brought my mussels to the table and scouled at me saying, These are for happy hour at the bar, but I'll let you slide. I got soo offended that I said back to him "charge me double then!" Then, at dinner I wanted to order another glass of wine, and I told my waiter I couldn't remember the name, but it was $9 per glass. He then said to me..."the cheap wine". We thoroughly enjoyed our evening at Lamoraga. We are new to Naples and excited to try new restaurants...wine and tapas is one of our favorite date nights so I took my fiancé for his birthday dinner. We did make a reservation but not needed on a Wednesday night as it was pretty dead. We had a drink at the bar first...only about 10 seats and a couple high tops, so smaller but great ambiance. The cocktail list is creative but pricey, wine list is on the small side with only a few bottles under $55. One important thing to note is the tapas menu is mainly only offered in the bar but our server let us try some things off of it when we sat in the dining room. Service itself was pretty good. She was very friendly and had good recommendations, however, she got a little busy and was somewhat inattentive throughout the night. But it didn't take away from our experience. We started with the cod fritters and the red pepper pork roll--both fantastic. I'm craving that roll still! Their menu has tons of options that sounded great. We almost got the short ribs and almost got the sea bass so we can't wait to go back. She also brought out a birthday dessert for my fiancé, a small portion of house made flan and bread pudding. They were both extremely tasty...I couldn't pick a favorite. I highly recommend this place...but just be aware that it is a little pricey. read more

The location is a bit off the beaten path for Naples, but otherwise not sure why it was so empty when we arrived. Service was excellent. Sangria (we went for the red) was both delicious and potent. Food was hard to beat. I personally went for the Early Bird Special which came with three delicious courses (calamari, hanger steak, and bread pudding). My steak was perfectly cooked and tender; the chipotle hollandaise sauce that came with it was the perfect complement to its seasoning. The fries that came with it had that ideal crispiness that so many fries lack. I also had a bit of the beef short ribs, which were likewise, delicious. 10/10 would visit again. read more

You can not go wrong ordering off the Tapas menu, everything is DELICIOUS. my favorites are the Short Rib Pincho's, Crab Cakes and Calamari. On the drink side if you love espressos like I do you'll love their espresso 43 it is yummy, the espresso in itself is exquisite. Great atmosphere and great service. Worth giving it a try! read more

My husband and I went to Lamoraga for Happy Hour with another couple yesterday. Our first visit to this restaurant. We went about 4:30 and they were not real busy. The bartender was fabulous ( a yound lady), suggesting beers and wines for us (at half price!). Also helped with tapas. We had four different ones,(shrimp with basil, calamari, kale salad, and pork rolls) each very good, prepared and presented nicely. Also had two desserts which were equally as good. The atmosphere is open and airy, mostly white with wood touches. The kitchen and bar are in full view of the dining room. They also have an early dinner fixed price menu. It is $25 for three courses between 4 and 5:30. The regular menu is a little pricey but probably not out of line for the quality. We will definately be back! read more

Reservations for 7 meant nothing. Service from Liz was erratic, bread and bill came late. $5 margaritas and $19 paella se med like a good way to celebrate cinco de mayo but not really! My brother ate a delicious meal at La Moraga several weeks ago so tonight we decided to have a family meal here. Our party was 6 adults and 2 children under 10. I will say that most of the tapas we tried were pretty good (lamb skewer, serrano ham, and a few others). The calamari was greasy. 3 of us ordered paella (vegan and seafood). The clams and mussels in the paella were very small and the person who ordered the vegan actually requested salt because the flavor was so lacking. The scallops were fishy, but the risotto was good. The kids had steak and both came out far undercooked, against our request. We ordered dessert and it was mostly good except the cheesecake. It tasted like the ready-made graham cracker pie crust in the grocery aisle. Altogether the meal itself was not wonderful, but the real let down was within minutes of our last bite of dessert, the manager came and asked us if we could leave because he had a larger party waiting for 30 minutes. It is important to note that we had a reservation for our table, we were not walk-ins, and we also waited 30 minutes between eating our tapas and when our entrees arrived. Had my mom and I ordered coffee as we had planned, we would still have been sipping it because our desserts were being cleared as the manager came over to us. This was NOT a situation where a party just lingers for way too long after their meal. I've waited on tables like that, they are the worst so I would have empathy if that were the case. We literally just finished and we had paid th a bill as soon as the desserts had been brought. To drop over $500 on appetizers, sangria (the red was very dry and had little flavor), entrees and dessert to then be approached and asked to leave in front of other guests and so quickly seemed hugely inappropriate, particularly because the restaurant had empty tables and it seems as though with some rearranging of tables they may not have needed to make their large party wait in the first place. The manager's decision was pretty pathetic, but I will say that our server was absolutely delightful. She was charming and accommodating and worked as fast as the kitchen allowed her to. Hopefully this manager doesn't treat his staff as poorly as his patrons, if so, I hope this server finds a far better place to work. There are some truly outstanding restaurants to choose from in Naples...go find them instead...La Moraga...WOULD NOT RECOMMEND! read more

My wife and I stopped by for happy hour on a Saturday afternoon and the bar staff were delightfully accommodating, fixing a special cocktail for her and making me a great Lychee Vacation. We enjoyed our visit so much we made a reservation for dinner the next evening. Dinner was superb: more cocktails and a Rioja with a series of appetizers. Steak tartare is hard to pull off but this one delivered. Paella was very good as was the surf-and-turf special. The bar manager surprised us with a dessert trio in which the bread pudding, with a French coconut filling (if I remember right), was fantastic. Friendly service, excellent food and drink in a sleek contemporary setting. If and when our travels bring us back, we'll head straight here. read more

- Tapas lovers: this is your kind of Heaven. Even in Spain, you might not always find such superb food. This is a brand new building for a brand new eatery in Naples. The exterior is a big grey box of a building & the interior is big. The open layout feels greater because of an abundance of large windows. It is furnished very simply with contemporary lines mostly in whites but with a few pops of color. There is wood, tile & many other hard surfaces that, despite the high ceiling, allows the room to get very noisy. Maybe the addition of table cloths would help that. I suppose that if just two of you come here, you could get by with a light & inexpensive meal. But! I would highly recommend that you enjoy dinner here with at least a few other friends. Yes, they have entrees but the best plan is to share the many smaller plates, the tapas. I believe that if we came here three or four times with a total of six people, we still wouldn't be able to try absolutely everything. I'm eager to do exactly that. Because there were eight of us, I will not be able to do justice by trying to tell you about every single thing that we ate. Suffice it to say that the soups, cheeses, Iberico hams, calamari, croquetas, salads, fish, anyway, ALL of it, was to-die-for! And what fun to pass plates around & taste a bit of it all! Perhaps that's why the place was noisy. ;-) They have an extensive drinks menu with beer, sangria, sparkling wines, fun cocktails & many choices of red & white wine from around the globe. Wines by the glass range from $7 - $15. We all caved to peer pressure & ordered some desserts to share, too. In keeping with the rest, they were super good, as well: cheesecake, chocolate deluxe &, finally, a Piece of Heaven... yes, that's it's name. We tried out Lamoraga for lunch: had a clam chowder that rivaled any in New England and an amazing salad with panko fried soft boiled eggs.
