Made our dining reservations thru the app. Checked in about 10 minutes before reservation time. Got a text when my table was ready. So easy! Seated promptly and had an excellent view! The beer battered onion blossom was phenomenal! We were thinking it was going to be like the blooming onion from outback but this one took it up a notch! This thing was massive and nice and crunchy. The sauces paired perfectly as well! Definitely enough for the 3 of us to share and we couldn't finish it all. My go to entree is the al pastor pork chop and I substituted French fries instead of getting the cheese polenta (which is also very tasty!). Fries were nice and crispy and the pork chop never lets me down. So juicy and tender! I hope they never take this off the menu!
The lamplight lounge is a sought after, iconic focal point of Pixar Pier. Split into the lower deck reservation only lounge and upper, walk-in/waitlist friendly boardwalk dining, the views of the bay, the Ferris wheel, and Incredicoaster are my favorite in the park. I recommend table seating over the bar, as the bar will have your back to these views. We have been three times now, and after having tried both the barbacoa and the lobster nachos, I'd recommend the former over the latter. The lobster serving was skimpy on our last visit. The drinks are STRONG. The strongest I've ever had in the park, and one will render me unable to ride Incredicoaster for hours afterward. Drink carefully, my friends! Sometimes service is prompt and other times it takes awhile to flag a server or bartender, it just depends.
One if my bestie and my fav place on the DCA side. Huge portions we often order two meals and split both and a drink each. Prices are reasonable especially for the quality and quantity, love the pond view while eating, we've enjoyed at the bar twice (you get constant service there). Photos are from 4 separate trips this is our 7th time in two years.
Ok so this time I have to reduce the rating a bit. So we did lamplight boardwalk a couple times. And the lobster nachos portion was not the same. Also we did the beef nachos and it was better than last time but we had to return it once because the chips were essentially burned. Korean wings 3/5 Came with 6 wings and some cucumber kimchi. Taste was ok. Sauce was good. The coating is a little different. It's not what I expected Korean wings to be like. But not bad. For the price really expensive tho. We also tried Brunch at lamplight downstairs and it was to me better than dinner. Chilaquiles 3.5/5 Taste was good. The server was right that they need to add some more protein to this dish. Breakfast burger 4/5 Burger was great Potato was really good with seasoning. The point taken out for the burger bun. Not sure why Disney buns are so crumbly. Overall I would give it a 3.5/5
Very nice location on the pier in Disney's CA Adventure. Indoor and outdoor seating and we sat outside with a nice view. Very attentive service with some fun menu options that tasted great! Their potato flautas with chorizo were plated so beautifully and the crunch and flavors were perfect. We also tried the chilaquiles and it did not disappoint. For Disneyland the prices were expected but these two items weren't too expensive. Glad we got to try it and get reservations for brunch.
Lamplight Lounge is a wonderful space to have some creative cocktails and enjoy the view from Disney's Pixar Pier. This lounge is located in Disney California Adventure right against the pier. You can see as you go on the San Fransokyo bridge away from Ariel's Grotto. I made reservations for Lamplight Lounge at 6:00 AM. and only the morning was available with one spot left for the evening. Reservations fill up very quickly here so I'd suggest booking as soon as you can. We were seated at the circular bar with our sides towards the fun wheel. They have lots of cocktails on their menu and some secret ones, too. Being an old school Disney goer, I asked for their Mickey's Fun Wheel, which is not on the menu. I don't recall which alcohol it has, but it's aesthetically pleasing and beautiful to look at. We decided to try their fried cauliflower, which was advertised for vegans. We also tried their fish tacos. The food came out quickly and we were quite impressed with their cauliflower; it had pickled cucumbers as a side and their cauliflower was tossed in a soy sauce, spicy marinade. Their fish tacos were quite long and had a mild kick to it, too. It was quite dry. I love to their gimmicks and designs. Disney does a fantastic job at creating a wonderful ambiance. Food was subpar and so were the drinks. The cast members were sweet and kept checking on us. We did take home their coasters since it had character drawings on them. Quite a great stop if you've never been here before. You can also ask the front desk if you can come in to get a cocktail to go. I'd recommend this place for a great pier experience.
Went in for brunch! Got the steak and eggs Probably one of the best steak and eggs I've had in a while. A lot of breakfast joints won't use a thick or a heavy cut as this but it was so worth! Asked for medium rare and it was perfectly cooked! The whole dish was excellent! Would order again! I got the cinnamon toast cocktail and open ocean with a splash! The cereal cocktail I wished there was more cereal and less ice but over the drink was very yummy The blended cocktail was sooo good like a rocket pop slushie! I loved that we had a nice view and the staff was very friendly
The food here is amazing. That is the simplest way I can describe it. My girlfriend and I were seated outside at the bar, which made for a really enjoyable dining experience. While the menu itself is on the smaller side, I can wholeheartedly recommend the Little Gem Salmon Salad and asking about the chef's special. During our visit, the special was roasted chicken served over mashed potatoes, and it completely exceeded expectations. The salmon was incredibly delicious and practically melted in our mouths. I am usually not a huge fan of mashed potatoes, but pairing them with the roasted chicken completely changed my mind it was so good that it made me want to lick the plate clean. We also ordered two drinks: the Hero Work and the Find Your Spark. I personally ordered two Hero Works because I enjoyed it that much, it reminded me of grape Kool-Aid. The Find Your Spark tasted like raspberry soda. You can still taste and feel the alcohol in both drinks, but they go down so smoothly that it almost feels like drinking juice, which can be dangerous in the best way. This is definitely a place I will come back to, and honestly, I would probably order the exact same things every time I am in the area.
Have not been back since 2024. Got to say, the food is pretty good here. Service was exceptional. Big Kudos to Jeremy! Nothing has changed from my last review. Nice ambiance and nice setting at the California Disneyland roller coaster area. Keep in mind, food quantity is small and expensive. But you should already know that since you are at Mouseland. I recommend reservations here. It has good energy, good service and good food! Kudos
My family and I came to Lamplight Lounge for Saturday brunch and had an incredible time! I had the chiliquilles, which was very delicious (9 out of 10) but probably could have used some sour cream to balance the heat. I also had the seasonal donuts which were the best donuts of my life (10 out of 10); they were cinnamon roll flavored with crushed pecans. To drink, I enjoyed the mimosa flight (8 out of 10). The flavors were peach, watermelon, ginger, and grapefruit. The grapefruit mimosa was the worst -- tasted a bit bland and artificial. But the watermelon mimosa and peach mimosa were full of fresh flavor and quite delicious. The ginger mimosa was great too but definitely had a kick to it with the spice. We were seated at a bar top facing the Incredicoaster. For our family, it was perfect since it is my son's favorite ride and he had a blast watching the coast keep launching. But if you are someone who doesn't enjoy loud noises during a meal, the constant screaming from the coaster may be much for you. They do offer seats inside and closer to the main water that would probably be less noisy. Highly recommend! This was my first time for brunch but I've been for dinner as well, and always have had a great dining experience.
We were walking around Pixar Pier near sunset hour and suddenly started craving drinks, so we stopped by Lamplight Lounge to see if we could get lucky without a reservation. Thankfully, one of the cast members near the patio bar helped us get in for quick to-go drinks. The view during sunset was honestly beautiful. Between the roller coaster, ferris wheel, and California's clear sky, the whole atmosphere felt super relaxing and scenic. If I ever come back for an actual dinner reservation, I'm definitely asking for patio seating outside. The bartender was friendly and helpful. We ordered the Find Your Spark and Red is a Lucky Color. At first I asked if they could add an extra shot, and the bartender was totally willing to do it... until he came back a few minutes later and told me it would be an extra $17. Suddenly I discovered moderation. The drinks came out pretty quickly, around 5 minutes, and visually they were gorgeous--definitely very Instagram-worthy with the DCA background. Taste-wise though, both drinks were VERY sweet. Like borderline syrup-level sweet for me personally. That being said, the alcohol content was definitely there because I did feel a little tipsy afterward lol. Overall, the drinks themselves were just okay for me, but the atmosphere and views really made the experience worth it.
We snagged some last minute reservations for Lamp Light Lounge (downstairs). Completely different menu than the former "Ariel's Grotto". We ordered a few IPAs, pork bao buns, potato skins, and brussels sprouts. We enjoyed the food especially the potato skins. Definitely on the pricier side for entrees ($25-$35). Appetizers around ($18-25). They have a fun menu of themed cocktails. For our party of 2, we were seated on the bar chairs by the shared firepit counter. I was hoping to get seated by ourselves but we were elbow to elbow with different parties on that shared space. I felt like that took away from the dining experience. But we loved our server that day. Forgot her name but she made up for us sharing tables with a lot of people.
I was pleasantly surprised with my first time dining at the Lamplight Lounge. At first glance, I wasn't too impressed by the selections offered on the menu, but I was curious to try it out anyway. You truly can't beat the view of the beautiful California Adventure waterfront & boardwalk. It felt like having dinner with a show. Our service was just fine, our waitress wasn't too enthused but she was efficient which is always appreciated. The cocktails were fun, festive & refreshing! They were themed after certain Disney/Pixar references as well as correlation to the park itself which I thought was really fun. I ordered the Impossible Burger, it was absolutely delicious. The patty itself had a charred taste to it which you don't get often from plant based patties! The house sauce on the burgers was sweet & slightly spicy. The fries were perfectly seasoned & crunchy! The Charbroiled Cheddar burger was jam packed with toppings & sauce. A truly perfect bite paired with their delicious fries. The Lemon Rosemary Chicken was juicy & well seasoned. The mashed potatoes were buttery & delicious. Veggies were cooked to perfection. My family & I had the best experience visiting Lamplight Lounge & I highly recommend it not only for a unique dining experience but for some delicious food! I hope to come back & try the brunch specials soon!

Long story short: MUST TRY. Lamplight Lounge is my most frequented and adored restaurant at the Disney parks! It is a Pixar themed restaurant and it is located across from Pixar Pier. It is beautifully faces the water that puts on the show World of Color and Pixar's Pal Around (Ferris wheel). There are paneled windows that open up for a view of the whole pier, love the fresh air, love the natural lighting. There are (outdoor/indoor) tables, booths, and bar seating. On the walls are decorations and pictures of any Pixar movies that can be thought of. My favorite spot is the table by all the UP themed photos, Carl and Ellie's mailbox and Russel's badge sash. So cute! RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED. It is possible to try and do a walk up, but it's highly rare there will be availability as people are planning their trips from all over the world, months ahead, so best bet is to make a reservation! I've been here 3 times and I've found that making reservations on the Disneyland App quite easy. FOOD&DRINK Lobster Nachos, $23, my go-to mountain of nachos, definitely SHAREABLE. Warm lobster, pico de Gallo, black beans, sliced Serrano pepper, chipotle creama, melted shredded cheese AND cheese sauce. All that laid up on a bed warm tortilla chips. They do not skimp on the lobster, it more chunks of lobster rather than a sprinkle. The taste of lobster is definitely prominent so you must like seafood to like this dish. I usually ask for the Serrano peppers on the side, because ya girl can only handle baby spice. -Brussels Caesar $14.00, we totally thought this would come out being a typical chilled caesar salad but was definitely not! But it was delectable so we weren't mad. The Brussel sprouts are actually roasted and topped with toasted pine nuts, house made dressing, garlic croutons, roasted tomato sauce and roasted red pepper. This dish is a win, quite zesty and fresh, great especially when lighter fare is desired. Also,100% plant based! -Salmon Poke* $21.00, comes with fried wonton chips. Our table has ordered this twice. I'm not a super fan of it. Yes it is fresh, refreshing but the ponzu, along with the pineapple, and the flavors in the avocado mousse are definitely tart forward. I feel like the tartness takes away and overpowers the salmon. -2319 (Monster's Inc, reference!) $7.00, a mocktail made of Coca-Cola slush, strawberry puree, pineapple juice and cream of coconut. Imagine a Coca-Cola Pina Colada. Was a-ok, not a must, but good to try at least once. -Brownie, $10.00, with Vanilla Ice Cream, Berry Sauce and Macerated Berries. I really enjoyed this dessert. There was a little bit of dryness, but the ice cream helped. It definitely was fudge-y, chocolatey and the berries did a great job at cutting the richness. It's was not overpoweringly sweet and also 100% plant based! I'd order this again! SERVICE Service here is generally quick, and the staff is ~mostly~ friendly. The staff is usually quick on their feet but there have been times where silverware was forgotten and once where we got the next table's dessert, but hey, it happens! PRICING I feel Lamplight Lounge is quite affordable considering the quality and quantity of the food. Most things on the menu are shareable. FUN FACT Lamplight Lounge is located in Disney California Adventure which means it is one of the few restaurants that sells alcohol in the park. They have beer, wine and cocktails. VERDICT Lamplight Lounge is a must try and is on repeat for me! read more
Lamplight Lounge is lovely! I have probably been here countless times now. It is a wonderful experience. Honestly, the only reason I am giving it 4 stars out of 5 is because of inconsistency. It seems the menu is always changing. It seems the recipes of staple items are always changing. When you have a magic key and you explore the parks a lot, of course you start to eat/drink maybe the same things. Every time we order the potato skins, they come out a little different. Hey, they're still good... but nothing will beat the original recipe. It is confusing why they are changing things. I hope it's not because they want to use less expensive ingredients. Anyways, had to get the potato skin inconsistency off my chest. This place is a fantastic spot to watch World of Color. It is probably the best gig you can get! Overlooking the fountains, ferris wheel, being able to lounge at comfortable chairs with drinks/food... a real spectacular! Everyone that works here... that I have encountered is super friendly, charismatic and overall seems happy to be there. The last servers we had were Juan (at check in) and Jeff (bartender). Both adorable and kind. Full of energy. They got us pumped to be there!! It was a cloudy day and the energy at lamplight lounge felt sunny! All of their drinks have a Pixar twist. The names of the drinks, the colors in the drinks... they're very beautiful and actually quite strong! This is one of the few places in DCA that has a full bar. Even if you order a vodka soda... as soon in my photos, they will "disney-fy" it which I can really appreciate. I hear reservations and check in is a lot but we had a smooth time. The thing with Lamplight Lounge is sometimes it's just hard to get a reservation. The best thing is to do the walk up list. We did the boardwalk dining as well... same day. Same experience... great. Had dirty martinis and our server was very kind. Sat on a couch like table and enjoyed the atmosphere. Honestly, if this place kept the consistency... it would be a solid 5 stars. 4 stars is great too though. Pros: Food variety Strong and themed drinks Breezy, outside (even though inside) atmosphere Adorable decor Kind staff Cute coasters Full bar World of Color prime viewing (if you time it right!) Lamplight Lounge is highly talked about around DCA, and I understand why. I was unable to get reservations, so I walked up the day of around 11:00, and there were already people lined up. By the opening time of the restaurant, the walk in line was down the Pixar Pier, so I definitely recommend coming to wait earlier than opening time to secure a spot! My friends and I were seated around 11:45 (15 minutes after opening time), and we were the 3rd party in the walk-up line. We shared the lobster nachos amongst 3 of us, and it was so good! I understand the hype! We also got a Modelo beer, Sizzle Reel and The Last Word, and all of the drinks were good. Service is immaculate, and I loved being able to see DCA while eating. read more

My family made reservations for while we were at California Adventure/Disneyland. I was extremely impressed with the service. Everyone was cheerful and attentive. My youngest has severe food allergies - the server sat down with us and took the time to hear us out about his allergies and then spoke with the chef regarding what would work for him. He loved his meal and so did the rest of us. Our cocktails were all tasty too. I enjoyed the burger, fries, and the onion thing was out of this world. Perfect spice. We will make sure to come back here every time we visit from WA. I loved the location too because it was right near where you can view people enjoying the rides. The whole Pixar vibe was cool too! read more
Amazing! We finally scored a reservation once our passes opened back up. We got seated outside, I was bummed at first because we wanted to experience the inside - but we were facing the Ferris wheel and didn't have anyone too in our space. We totally over ordered: Lobster Nachos - they we're good, super filling 4/5 Bao Buns - One of the best dishes, tons of flavor 5/5 Fries - Nice and crispy Al Pastor Pork chop - So yummy 5/5 (If I had to knock one off - prob the nachos) All of the drinks were yummy. Not pick tires is the Dole Whip shot (also on the secret menu- check that out before you commit to the regular cocktail menu) Service was amazing, really attentive and friendly. Note: I reserved this 2 months in advance. We haven't had any luck with standby. But once we were blocked out for the summer, I found one for when our passes opened back up. read more

Pork chop was good but Grilled Head-on Prawns was so puny. Basically 3 tiny pieces of shrimp where the heads were larger than the bodies with a few pieces of peas for the vegetables. read more

We had reservations up on the boardwalk part and our seating was perfectly overlooking the water. I had the fish tacos which were good, you only get two & no side. My mom had the lobster nachos were the star of the show. My dad had the burger sliders which were just ok. The drinks were a fun addition, alcoholic & non-alcoholic options. read more

This review is based on the boardwalk side NOT the full restaurant. The drinks are very good. The service is a bit slow but that's understandable with how busy it is in the park itself. The ambiance is just children screaming and the Incredi-coaster screaming "5, 4, 3, 2, 1, GO" every 30 seconds. The sliders me and my brother got were horrendous. We NEVER complain about food. I've eaten week and a half old Little Caesar's Pizza in the microwave that was hotter and had more flavor than this. The driest, coldest, worst burger I have ever had. The cheese sauce was grainy and cold, the burger was cold, the buns are somehow wet and gave me cotton mouth at the same time. The bacon tastes like it was cooked a week ago and then put NEAR the microwave to heat up then placed on our sliders. Their house made pickles are just cucumbers basically. I only sucked mine down because I was literally starving but my brother couldn't even finish one and they took his off the bill which was kind of them. Our server was very kind and told the chefs the problem but I have no idea how it was sent out that way. read more
Finally got a reservation here after refreshing their dining webpage for days. I was so excited hearing and reading so much about this place..... I was thoroughly underwhelmed especially for Disney standards. A lot of cool decorations but the ambiance was relatively ordinary. My nectar in the rye was very imbalanced. I love spirit forward drinks but this one wasn't it. Maybe it was the ingredients or something but it was just a funky (not in a good way) drink. The lobster nachos were pretty tasty and its just a huge heaping pile lol. Not exactly the easiest way to eat nachos but hey, there's a lot. I wouldn't say its anything spectacular though... and I wouldn't say it's worth the reservation/wait times at all. The al pastor was something else. The meat itself was quite tender and had great flavors. It was a little bit dry but that's why there's sauce and polenta! The pineapples and veggies made it perfect. However, there's just not enough of it or the polenta so that was disappointing as a whole. I heard nightmares of rude cast members here but I didn't really get that. Except when World of Color started and I asked my server if I could go watch outside, which she said of course. Whenever I make it to DCA, I always try to snag a reservation at the Lamplight Lounge. The vibes here are always on point - I love sitting on the Boardwalk, especially when we get a table with a nice view of Pixar Pal-A-Round (still getting used to not calling it the Funwheel!) On my most recent trip, I decided to go on whim - that is to say, less than 6 weeks in advance, so all of the reservations were booked. I had my alerts on MouseDining for any stray reservations but no dice. Alas! The day of, I joined the Walk-Up List for Lamplight Lounge-Boardwalk Dining on the Disneyland app in the early afternoon and got summoned for a table in less than 40 minutes. What's even better is we didn't even have to wait in-person - we were on Soarin' when I got the notification to be seated! Ok, onto food and drink - on the boardwalk, the food menu is abbreviated. The lobster nachos are our FAVE and we literally haven't tried anything else on the menu. I do wish they had smaller options available - nothing is under $20 per entree. Our most recent visit, we opted to just do drinks instead. The off-menu FunWheel & Zombie are always solid options. Open Ocean with a Splash is a slushy, so it's refreshing, but pretty low alcohol content. Most recently I tried the Scream Canister and it was perfectly balanced in terms of sweetness & value for the alcohol LOL. Overall, I will always make an effort to come to LL even though it's slightly overpriced - the ambiance is worth it! read more

Great ambiance! I made reservations for this place 60 days in advance to make sure we had a comfortable spot to sit down and have a bite to eat while at California Adventure. We sat out near the water and it was a beautiful spot at a bar table with a fire middle. We are from New Mexico so we don't get to see much water so it's always a treat for us. He ordered a mocktale that he really liked called Mint to Be and I ordered an adult beverage called The Sequel. Both drinks were fruity and delicious. Mine had little alcohol in it for $18.00 but it's Disney so you're gonna pay the big bucks. We shared the Lobster Nachos sans pico de gallo and they were delicious. Definitely big enough for us to share with some left over. Unfortunately there was only melted cheese on two to three of our chips but the other toppings were delicious. Cheers! read more

Everything was good. Service was Spot on! Grilled prawns were good but small portions and it had a Fishy taste to them I know it is a prawn but a little over whelming for me. Other than that. I give the prawns 3/5. Potato skins were great! Crispy on the outside fall apart on the inside. The Aioli Smokey chipotle flavor. Wasn't too fond of the yogurt. But the aioli made up for it, 4/5. The Lamplight lounge Atmosphere is great and will be coming back. read more

Gosh, it took me forever and a day to get a reservation here! I've had this spot bookmarked on Yelp for an awhile. Another elite recommended Lamplight Lounge to me, so I stalked the reservation situation hard looking for an opening lol Finally got one! Once you finally get in, you feel so special lol The food and service is great!! It's everything I had hoped for. Lobster nachos ftw! The view is awesome! Location is right on the Pixar pier at California Adventure. You can't go wrong with Lamplight Lounge...Unless you can't get a reservation. That's my only gripe. read more

This was my fourth visit in the last year and a half. We went for brunch this time. I have to say this is one of the better experiences. The service was great. We split the steak and eggs, which was delicious. A little bit of a chewy steak, but the rest of it was amazing. We also shared the donuts. They were the French toast flavor and were very yummy! Definitely recommend. We had outside seating this time, and sat at the community table in the middle of the patio. It was a great experience and had an awesome view. Nice to see whatever everyone else was getting and socialize. read more

California Adventure + Amazing Views + Great Food = Lamplight Lounge! You have to check this place out when you visit Disneyland. It's a little hard to get a reservation but the secret is called mouse watcher! (Thank me later) We came for dinner on a beautiful evening where from our seats we were able to see the Mickey Ferris wheel, Incredicoaster, the water where World of Color takes place, and the sunset! Honestly the views are some of the best you can find. The food was mostly on point. We ordered a variety of items from the menu starting with the Brussels caesar. It's definitely a different take on the caesar salad but we liked it although it was a large portion and quite filling. The Brussels sprouts were crispy roasted and tossed in a caesar dressing sprinkled with pine nuts and Parmesan cheese. This is definitely a dish that can be shared by more than 2 people. We also ordered the pork kung pao bao. It's kind of like a taco with a large piece of fried pork, topped with cilantro, and red pepper slices. We were mixed on the taste of this. The pork was quite thick and had a very heavy pork flavor. It wasn't melt in your mouth pork belly it was more chewy and not the best texture. We read many reviews that said that these were great but honestly wouldn't order them again. Lastly, we ordered the cheese burger. You can't go wrong with it. Cooked perfectly with a tasty bun and fries hot and crispy. Definitely would order again. Ok last tip - There is a secret drink menu that isn't on the actual menu. Special drinks like the pinwheel, Black Pearl, and more. My favorite is the Black Pearl. Be sure to ask for those! Will be back next time I'm in Disney!! read more

FOOD: we got the lemon Rosemary Chicken, lobster nachos, salmon Poke, Brussels Caesar. Very good. Very flavorful. The chicken was cooked very well, the salmon tasted fresh and kept cool. Rating: ***** SERVICE: our waitress was nice. She asked if it was our first time and we said yes, I was hoping she would explain what to expect, favorite foods and maybe answer some questions. Sister made a reservation here to relax and sip on drinks. We ordered a few drinks off their secret menu and a few appetizers to share. Kiddo love his nonalcoholic drink and vanilla ice cream with brownie. The s'more donuts were delicious but a bit too sweet for me but not for the kiddos. The lobster nacho was delicious per family. We all enjoyed our drinks while relaxing in the shade after a long day walking in the sun. While at the parks the past few days we also hit up the Lamplight Lounge by way of the walk-up list for an engagement celebration brunch/lunch, which had a few Lunar New Year specialty items not included in the Sip & Savor pass that you won't want to miss out on: -Kung Pao Bao with delicious sweet and spicy glazed pork belly! -The Lamplight Lunar New Year cocktail, which I can't wait to try to recreate with soju, carrot and orange juices, aperol apertivo, and garnished with mint and orange slice - so refreshingly delicious! - In the absence of our brunch menu favorite - chilaquiles - we decided to try the Lobster Nachos, which were decent, but no replacement to their chilaquiles. Yesterday, I was blessed to spend quality family time with my kiddos at the Happiest Place on Earth aka California Adventure and Disneyland. Once we got to California Adventure, my daughter immediately made a reservation for us to eat lunch at the Lamplight Lounge (LL). Our reservation was at 12:05pm, so we decided to work up our appetites by riding several rides. This was my first time dining at Lamplight Lounge and we loved the food we grubbed on and the customer service we received. 4.5 stars due to a few opportunities. LL is one of the Disney restaurants located inside California Adventure. It can be found on the Pixar Pier directly across from the giant Mickey Mouse Ferris wheel and a few feet away from San Fransokyo Square. You are required to make reservations, so make sure to do it in advance on the Disney app. When we walked over to LL, we were greeted by some friendly employees who directed us to walk down a flight of stairs to meet up with a hostess. This friendly hostess walked us over to our assigned seating, which was outside on a bar top table. There is inside, covered outside, and bar top seating. We wished we had insisted on indoor seating because the sun was beating down on us and it was a warm day. Loved the decor and ambience of LL with wood accents, brick facade for walls, light fixtures, Disney inspired framed pics, and sitting outside provided a spectacular view of the water and the Ferris wheel. Ramon our server and the entire wait staff were friendly, attentive, and provided notable customer service. They even were concerned about the sunlight and positioned an umbrella to protect us. Our food took longer than expected to get to our table, but for the most part, we appreciated the customer service. My daughter had eaten at LL during one of her previous visits, but this was the first time grubbing here for my son and I. Lounge is part of the name of this restaurant, so if you're a fan of adult beverages, there is an extensive selection. I don't drink, so I'm the last person to tell you what's good, but my daughter partakes and she told me her and her friends enjoyed the drinks here. I'm a fan of their simple food menu, which means a smaller list of choices translates to them focusing on serving quality food. My daughter and I decided to order two entrees and share them. We ordered the Brunch Burger and the Potato Flautas. Trust me when I say that these two menu selections should be your Huckleberry. The Brunch Burger contains a grilled custom burger blend with American cheese, one egg-up, hash brown patty, roasted green chile, lettuce, caramelized onions, and paprika aioli, all of which are encapsulated on a toasted Amish bun with fresh watermelon. For $24, I wished it had come with a side of fries. Talk about quality, when we took our first bite of that burger, we both said how delicious it was. It was fresh, tasty, and every component was on point. The Potato Flautas come with chorizo, piquillo crema, tomatillo-serrano salsa, arugula, and escabèche salad. When the dish came out, it was culinary art with the flautas fried golden brown, they were fresh, and they were enough to share. Just like the burger, they were quality and memorable. My daughter made a great restaurant choice for us to dine at. Lamplight Lounge was a cool place to hang out at, I appreciated the customer service by Ramon and the team, and the food left a lasting impression with my family. Updated review since July 2018, even though we had reservations, we still waited almost 30 minutes as they were behind. Restaurant is still pretty and we were seated outside by the water, which in this current temperature is pretty cold, especially at night. I love their collectible coasters. I walked up just to sit and have drinks to get out of the sun. They have an outdoor covered patio where the bar is and you can walk up no reservations required. We were seated within 8 minutes. Our best meal at Disney/California Adventure! Brunch is offered on weekends only. Our server recommended the brunch burger and French toast and he did not steer us wrong! The burger was cooked a perfect medium. I really enjoyed the tang of the green chiles. The French toast was not too sweet and super fluffy, although a tad dry in some areas. Rezzies go live 60 days prior at 6am (west coast time) on the Disney website/app. Make sure you grab them ASAP cuz you'll most likely get turned away at the door for walk ins. read more
Lamplight lounge uses to be very easy to get seated at! Nowadays, you have to make reservations or get lucky with walk ins. The outdoor seating area closes early now. Service is always goose here. Onto the food! We always get their lobster nachos and potato skins to munch on. My go to drink is the ocean splash. It's the Perfect drink on a hot day. I was so excited to finally try Lamplight! We made a reservation for a Friday night for dinner. The restaurant is decorated with things from all your favorite movies. It's disney so I expected nothing less! The menu is very limited and I wasn't impressed with the selection. I chose the burger, which was OK. Next time I think I need to try the nachos. To drink, I got the over budget, which is basically a Moscow mule. I know they have fun colorful drinks too but I wanted something refreshing and not sweet so this was perfect. Our server was awesome! When we got there we were seated at a table inside and near the back wall. We asked if we could be moved because we wanted to watch World of Color. They don't allow any food out on the patio since they turn all the lights off. We quickly ate our dinner and our server was kind enough to move us outside right away. Perfect location, decor and ambiance! Water view outside was superbly enjoyable. The food took awhile to come out. Mint to be was a tad bit too sweet but well named! Pretty good in terms of amusement park restaurant food. New York avocado toast was a good bite. Crab cakes were small for the Benedict. I wish lunch was served up starting at 12pm or sooner and combined with breakfast items and just do brunch altogether. The chilaquiles was adorned. They served out a white chocolate cake for my nephews 8th birthday in a form of a Mickey hat. It was subtle. Reminded me of a tres leches cake, but not as moist. Great service. I really wish Lamplight Lounge and Lamplight Lounge - Boardwalk had separate review pages since each offers a distinct experience and requires its own reservation. The Boardwalk is outdoor-only, just south of the Lounge entrance, and you'll find Cast Members managing the entrance with occasional wait-time updates. It's an ideal spot for a quick bite and a drink, with all the on-menu cocktails and even some off-menu options available. While they may not have every seasonal beer or wine, they generally cover the essentials--and they'll even prepare a drink for you to go! read more

Finally got a reservation opening for today and dined here for the very first time! This place is fun and kitschy with impeccable friendly service. However, tis yet another California Adventure overhyped restaurant that boasts a small selection of brave gourmet disasters. While being a new magic key holder whos at Disney frequently, I feel like im left with few dining options that are truly delicious and price appropriate. Im not picky really! I find corn dogs dole whip and popcorn are a few of my fav Disney things. I do enjoy a regular visit to Cafe Orleans Plaza Inn and Jolly Holiday but even that gets old when you are there often. So reservation popped up we got sat down early into a communal table. Already awkward because we werent expecting that and neither was anyone near us im sure. We ordered drinks as we felt we should as Lamplight is known for that. The falling sky or whatever sounded interesting but ended up being just super sour tart drink. The 2139 was a long list of ingredients that just tasted like a okay strawberry smoothie. We ordered the Spiced Ham Benedict and the Brunch Burger. The "Spiced Ham" Benedict is SPAM...saying it loud and clear its SPAMMMMMMM. Now as a pacific islander, I love me some spam eggs and rice but when you trick us calling it spiced ham and slap two bitty slices of it on a biscuit and charge me 23 dollars...oh baby hell no. I could have sent some cans of those to the family for that price bye booboo! Also, get outta here with that hot honey hollandaise stop over glorifying your menu descriptions it's not cute. Down to the Brunch Burger...you'd think with a staple like a cheeseburger with an egg what could go wrong right? ERRRGHHH! Ya no the burger was well done instead of medium and the buns were over grilled crispy and really stale with a ridiculous amount of sauce on it to maybe help resuscitate what bit of bread might be left acceptable for a damn cheeseburger. Im sorry the entire experience wont bring us back to this restaurant when I know I can get decent burgers and benedict other parts of the park(disneyland).
