Chef special: Swordfish picatta with mashed potatoes, vegetables & tiny salad - 4/5 This was good. The picatta sauce was delicious and the fish cooked perfectly. I would have liked a mix of different vegetables. Lasagna - 5/5 - this was my favorite. It was cheesy, served very hot, the noodles were not mushy. Just deliciousness on a plate. The service at the bar was outstanding. Our server was attentive and offered us as much bread as we wanted. He went over the menu and offered suggestions. We only drank water and the cup was always full. He was great! Seating - there was plenty of seating, so was not sure why we were only offered a choice of 2 tables both basically on top of the party next to you. I feel they can do better in that department. There was seating outside, which was also offered, but it was way too hot and humid that day to dine al fresco. We ending up sitting at the bar. Forced tipping: They add a "kitchen appreciation" fee to your bill, which I did not care for. I feel this is tacky, but if they are doing this, it should be posted somewhere that they are, feels sneaky otherwise. The food was very good & I will likely be back to try other dishes.

My husband and I came across the restaurant on a Saturday at 430pm. We had our baby stroller and have been mindful on avoiding dinner rushes while going to restaurants, just in case. The Host asked us if we were a party of "3 and a half" which we laughed and said yes. We waited outside where there is patio seating and only a couple of tables taken. Inside, there were people at the bar and maybe one table occupied. The rest were open. I could see through the windows that the staff made a big deal about the stroller, they were walking around making hand motions as to where the stroller would "fit" mind you we've been to plenty of restaurants where this has NEVER been an issue. They came out to speak to us twice stating they were looking for a spot. I told my husband we should just eat elsewhere but he insisted on waiting. We did not want to sit outside due to it being hot. The host finally returned and said that they have reservations and can seat us at a table but we have an hour limit due to the reservation. My husband obliged b/c he was hungry, and I was annoyed. We got seated in the back which is fine by the big display of wine and our stroller replaced a chair. Which idk why that wasn't suggested or thought of in the first place. Our server was very nice but the other staff just kept side eyeing us. Dinner was rushed, it was tasty yet over priced. Our baby slept the entire time, No fuss thankfully. What were they to do if they had someone in a wheel chair and couldn't accommodate space? I know the comparison is far fetched compared to a stroller however it was the first time I ever encountered this. Since someone else made a comment about them not being seated due to a stroller, I would suggest avoiding this restaurant if you have small children as it seems it's not welcomed. Again, we were mindful and have been going to dinner before 5pm.

The cannelloni Romano are 3 crepes stuffed with chicken , spinach and cheese and topped with more cheese and a red past sauce. My husband enjoyed them very much. We have actually never seen this served in another Italian restaurant before. My Frutti d Mar was also very delicious, it had scallops, shrimp, clams, mussels and calamari.Served with some linguine in a delicious red broth. So delicious. Now I can understand why this place has been around this long. I heard that the same chef has been making those dishes for 36 years or maybe more. That's a great consistency to have. I'll admit I was a little thrown off by added cost of each tolling and also added cost of the Arrabiata sauce and I also did wait until a fair amount before the food was ready for takeout. But the pasta really blew me away. I'm still thinking about how good it tasted. I would definitely come back and I actually wanna bring my dad who loves spicy pasta like this. It was really that good. I can't think of another place that has this level of pasta let alone this price. The only negative I would say in regards to one of the workers. The cashier was manned by wonderful woman who did every and all tasks from taking the orders to putting food items in the oven to answering the phone I'm probably much more than that. I don't know. In contrast there was an Asian man with a black shirt who was also working. He looked lost and completely helpless. There was a moment where this woman was so busy and there was a ringing that I assume was from either a phone call or a delivery order. This man did not offer to help more nor did he help from what I saw. He was utterly helpless and unhelpful. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt with the encouragement "Hey help your team out!" The woman on the other hand was doing so many things simultaneously and yet was really kind at the same time. Anyways, I'm giving my review of a five star because I wanna see this place succeed and I'll definitely come back .

That response didn't make much sense to me. I wasn't looking to argue or make a scene, so I just left the pizza there and moved on. I can't believe that 5 latinos come out to intimidate my father without my dad raising his voice that he been waiting more than 45 minutes and the friends of my dad that were Americans their food came out in 15 minutes because they thought my dad came alone. There's people that defend this place because this hasn't happened to them it's aggression or humiliation to be Latino. Between the Lations treat bad the latinos and this place my dad don't is not going to return because he says between the same race don't want treat the same as the Americans and that is like an insult to humiliate. It's a burden trying to treat bad a Hispanic and for one pays everything. And my dad went to say bye to his American friends and that he was going to leave because they didn't treat him the same even when we were in the same table. And that's when they realized that they calmed down because if not they would have fought my dad. The disadvantage of my dad not being able to speak English because the treatment would have been different. They have to be humble like their parents came as immigrants not because they were born here means they can humiliate a person undocumented because they don't talk English. For my father they are racist, thank you have a nice weekend. read more

Ordered a large pizza. The pizza was so greasy, I could have oiled my car with the leftover pizza. When I took the pizza out of the box, there were giant blotches of grease all over the box. The guy who took care of me was a complete jerkoff and started up with me the second I walked in with the pretentious sarcasm the second I walked in. Then I got the receipt and he didn't even let me finish filling it out and totaling it (anyone could have filled in whatever they wanted on the receipt). Then he brought out the pizza and I made a comment to him and he threw up his arms and said, I don't want to hear it. The place if filthy and will be complaining to board of health. They act like there the only pizza place in town. Now I have to wipe my keyboard off of all the grease from the pizza, disgusting. I should have never gave them a second and even third chance. Do yourselves a favor and don't go to this place, its a dive. BTW the customers are just as bad, most of them look like street people. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would!! As we arrived at the restaurant around 7:45 pm, our group of eight was met with an unfriendly welcome. The cashier, Justin, seemed put off by our presence and informed us that they were closing early due to the holiday. Not understanding the holiday was actually on the 4th, not the 3rd, we politely considered staying for dinner. However, Justin's obvious annoyance and agitation made it clear that we were not welcome. He would only allow us to stay until 8:30 pm, but his curt demeanor and dismissive body language made us feel unwelcome. The whispered conversations and eye-rolling he shared with the cook only added to the unpleasant atmosphere. As a result, we decided to leave and will not be returning due to the poor customer service. It's unacceptable to treat potential customers with such disdain, especially on a slow Wednesday night. read more

I've been coming here for years and it seems that ever since this place has come under new ownership it has really gone downhill. The prices have gone through the roof considering that this is the type of place you take the kids after a baseball or soccer game. I used to come in here with the guys to watch the Lakers games, but it seems that they frown upon that now. It seems the only time they welcome my business is when I come in with the team I coach and all of the parents and kids. Must be because we spend a couple of hundred. If I just come in with my friends or family the staff is rude, they take forever to get your food and they make you feel unwelcome. I have been coming to Lamppost Pizza in Orange for years. The food is the best! No matter what pizza or salad I order, it is always great! The owner (Mike & staff) are amazing. They always check on our table. You can sit anywhere in the restaurant and see a TV. I have been there so many times and see athletic teams celebrating something. I love to see local businesses supporting the community! It is a true testament to a business when they have been around for decades. Bravo! read more

When I asked for ice, the cashier initially took the cups and then she said there was no ice, but then I heard her inform her younger male coworker that there actually was ice. Mind you they gave ice to other customers. She also made a comment about there being five of us. At that point, her attitude came across as unnecessarily petty and unprofessional. She later told me they didn't have basil, so I asked for olives as a replacement. We waited approximately 25-30 minutes for the pizza. When it finally came out, there was no pepperoni on it, despite pepperoni being part of the order I originally placed. I showed the cashier my receipt and explained that I had specifically requested pepperoni, ricotta cheese, and basil. She insisted that she had repeated my order correctly, but the receipt actually reflected the items I had requested. Instead of simply correcting the mistake, I was charged extra for the pepperoni, even though it was an issue with the original order. On top of that and once our pepperoni was added the second time, we waited about 15 plus, additional minutes. the younger male employee was trying to flag me down to come get my order rather than bringing it to the table. At that point, after everything else, I said "No, you bring it over here." The audacity of them requesting I go pick up my pizza was crazy. I really hope that their manager reads this review. I'll be reviewing this on their website as well. The pizza itself was alright, but honestly, it wasn't worth dealing with the attitude, the ordering mistake on their part, the extra charge, and the overall experience. I came in willing to give this place a try, but unfortunately, I won't be coming back, and neither will the families of the children I brought along with us. They already spoke to their parents about this I unnecessary experience. Mistakes happen, but how you treat customers when mistakes happen makes all the difference. This experience was disappointing from start to finish. The staff was immature and the cashier (only female) had a crappy attitude.

I didn't expect there to be onions and mushrooms in it but it was a pleasant surprise. Tasted like a pizza sandwich and the bread had a little crunch on the outside but soft on the inside. It is saucy so your bread will get soggy quick if you don't eat it right away. Definitely recommend eating jt right away there. Would have loved to try the meatball sandwich but my kid did not like meatballs and we were sharing. Gotta try it next time!

We arrived around 7:30 and the unfriendly, spaced-out cashier said they still needed to make the garlic bread. We waited 20+ more minutes, just before they closed. The pizza was just ok. It used to be *so delicious* and was our favorite. We only have pizza a few times a year and always looked forward to getting it from Buccaneer (previously First Class Pizza) in Villa Park. But this time was so disappointing. There was some left the next day and it just wasn't good. We ended up throwing it out, along with the garlic bread which wasn't worth waiting for.

I give the lady working the counter the name of the order and she had the pizza ready. I took it back to the house and everyone was excited. We got two pepperoni pizza and another pizza with beef, pepperoni and ham. The pizza is a good size and I thought it was delicious. The wings were good too, especially when they are hot and ready. The customer service was fine when I went to pick up the pizza. I didn't have any issues at all.
