No stars given I had to give something in order to post...started goin here about 6 months ago and initially was very pleased with the service BUT with popularity comes trouble...wait times have increased *and that is with appointments* u get there on time and your tech is still busy with previous customers...I mean there are only three techs working So after 2 canceled appointments with LISA last week I go in today and they tell me that LISA is no longer with them...I'm sure they knew this last week but waited til I got there today to tell me...possibly with the hope of me getting my nails done by someone else...totally pissed off needless to say I won't b back...they lost one loyal customer today! read more

Living in Downey for so many years my mom and I never found one place we loved so our hands and feet suffered the lack of manis and pedis. Luckily a few months ago with the help of help I found this place a block away from my parents house and now we are returning customers. I have spread the word to my sister in law who just moved around the corner from my parents house, my cousin who lives at my moms I finally convinced her to come and she loved it. I made an appointment the day before and they had someone ready for me when I got here. I thought that was good since there were many customers here already and it had just opened at 10am. I asked her to please get my ingrown and she didn't hurt me doing it, so that's a plus. Their pedi chairs are extremely comfortable (to me especially since I'm a curvy short girl. Overall, they get 5 stars for being pretty perfect. If you are picky about looks then it's not exactly luxurious but it works. Kinda pricey but nothing I haven't paid before for gel mani/pedi. I rarely leave reviews, but this was a must. I came here for the first time a few days ago for a pedicure. I would have gone to my normal place, but my lady was not working that day so I decided to find a place close to home. Let me start by saying I am a licensed Esthetician and pay close attention to sanitation and cleanliness. First, there were only two techs working and I had to wait over an hour for my service. I got the pedicure with the scrub and hydrating mask upgrade. The instruments that my tech was going to use on me were NOT sanitized before she attempted to use them on my toes. The callus remover, clippers, cuticle pusher were all ONLY rinsed off after the last client and put back in her tool container. I declined those and requested DISINFECTED instruments. That's just gross! THEN it was time for the scrub on my legs and feet as well as the hydrating mask. Rather than using a scoop of some kind to take the product out of the container to then place it on my skin, she DIPPED HER HAND INTO THE CONTAINER!! Yuck!!! Yes she had gloves on, but they had already made a lot of contact with my skin. Which means, every clients who gets those treatments are at risk for bacteria and fungal issues due to her hands being dipped into containers with contaminated gloves. I declined the scrub and the mask for this reason. I can't even imagine what kind of breeding ground those containers are which were both almost empty. So they have been used, the same way, many times. I will NEVER return and I am PRAYING that I don't have any problems with my toe nails. I WILL go there personally to speak with the manager if this is the case. Anyone who comes here, please pay attention to what they use and if they are CLEAN and SANITARY! read more

I've been coming here for a few years now, they do really good work and have a lot of people on staff, so you get in and out pretty quickly. Everyone there is really nice! The only downside is they don't always honor your appointments. If they could just get their appointments better organized they would be amazing! read more

My Daughter and I are always happy with our nails and more importantly the time that's spent on each one of us. I never feel like they just rush through to please other people. I had just discovered the best nail tech I've ever had (Lisa) then she up n leaves me. Lisa tell us where you are so I can come to where you are! But honestly, this Nail Salon is the best I've been to. Lisa is the only reason I would go somewhere else and unless I miraculously find her, I'm staying with Lanas. They are friendly, clean and professional. My nails never separate from the acrylic so there is no worry about getting fungus or something yucky. You can watch them remove their instruments from the outoclave as it is directly behind them and they unwrap them in front of you. They are properly packaged which I know for a fact because I've watched them do it and I'm a former dental assistant so I know the proper proceedure. I have yet to find something to complain about (other than Lisa no longer working there). Actually, there is one tiny little thing that's kind of inconvenient. They ONLY TAKE CASH TIPS. You can pay for your services with a card but if you want to tip, it has to be in cash. The only reason it's bothersome is because I rarely, if ever carry cash so whenever I go get my nails done I have to stop at the bank first. Other than that, I'm golden and so is Lana's read more

Went in Saturday 4/30 for a mani around 1pm - waited about 45min to be seen (not complaining it's sat and didn't have an appt) I sadly didn't get the name of who did my nails but I was taken to the last booth station where the nails are done, the lady was very rough - but didn't complain just figured I'll let her do her thing! I wanted the Holographic/Chrome looking nails and she did- she took out all tools and started, sadly however the whole entire time she was saying "too short to short, your nail is to short, next time you come I won't do because your nail too short" I thought okay she's prob right whatever... I paid $36 ($1 fee to use ATM) and tipped her $5 today is 5/4 and my "gel" nails look GROSS- I work from home on a computer all day and cook and clean standard like any wife does... no excuse why my "gel" nails are chipped. Downey does not have any great nail salons. This place is a hidden gem. IT's great! They are very professional, sincere, and helpful. The place is clean and service is efficient. Annie was amazing. I got gel nails and it's great. They are great polishers. They have a stamp program and when you check in on yelp, you get a dollar off. They are also not pushy or rude. I've been looking for a good nail salon now that I no longer live in Orange County, and I think I found it! I've been here about 2 or 3 times now and always get great service. The ladies are all very friendly and fast. I just met Annie today and she's awesome!! She was super sweet and did an amazing job on both my manicure and pedicure!!! I usually complain that my massage is too soft or not long enough but Annie was perfect! I loved how she did my gel nails and the design. I tried more of a design this time and the matte finish. I got Ivy. Pretty nice. Place was nice and had spa chairs. We went here due to Joes nails that is near them doesn't touch men. No pedi no manicure. Nothing only woman. My hubby called here and the woman Ivy was nice and pleasant on the phone. So that made us want to check it out. We went and right away we were asked if we needed help. We let her know we made an appointment at 4:30 PM for accrilic nails and mani pedi for my hubby. They had 4 ppl working. We didn't wait to long. They took me first then my hubby. He got the works by Jenny. Well I picked it for him. He didn't know what to get. It was $40. He loved it. Me I just did my nails for my birthday. I love my new nails but there were little things here and there on my nails I had to file or scrap off little mishaps . I've never had to do that before. Some places when I've got my nails done did hurt a little. This place was pleasant on my nails. Over all I would go back. Only thing is I've gotten white tips for $17 other places and they would charge for color. I like white tip because I can decide if I want to color my nails later. Here is regular $17 or white tip for $20. Ok fine. It is what it is. I've had them 4 days and hit them alot at work thinking I may had broken one or two. Nope. Hurt like hell but still strong so that's good. I'm pleased over all with my nails and husbands mani pedi. He loved it. read more

I really liked my first impression of the nail salon. It is a very simple and small salon with a few spa pedicure chairs and manicure stations. I came in 30 min prior to closing and was able to get a gel manicure and spa pedicure. The pedicure was the best. I chose the signature pedicure. The lady doing my pedicure did a phenomenal job!!! The callous removal was thorough, she was gentle with me feet, the scrub, massage, hot stone every thing was perfect. My nail technician who did my gel did a great job too. I would have put 5 stars but the gel color selection was limited. Another plus is that it's right next to a mcdonalds and I love that if I needed a coffee I can just grab One before my mani and pedi. read more
