I've been coming to Lana's for about a year or two and I have never been disappointed with their service or quality of nails. Chau is by far the best there. She always takes her time and makes sure I'm happy. Even cuts my nails to my liking and doesn't try to convince me to go longer like other salons do. She's so friendly and sweet. I really liked my first impression of the nail salon. It is a very simple and small salon with a few spa pedicure chairs and manicure stations. I came in 30 min prior to closing and was able to get a gel manicure and spa pedicure. The pedicure was the best. I chose the signature pedicure. The lady doing my pedicure did a phenomenal job!!! The callous removal was thorough, she was gentle with me feet, the scrub, massage, hot stone every thing was perfect. My nail technician who did my gel did a great job too. I would have put 5 stars but the gel color selection was limited. Another plus is that it's right next to a mcdonalds and I love that if I needed a coffee I can just grab One before my mani and pedi. read more

They take appointments over the phone and when you arrive you have to wait 20-35 minutes. Great place but too busy. I'd rather go somewhere that honors appointments. I appreciate honesty. I went to go get my nails done yesterday at Lana's Diamond nails in Downey...they are SO overrated, its ridiculous the work i got done. First she over filed my nails with the machine so they were already hurting, then she passed over my finger with it, then she cut me with the regular file, and then the gel manicure she gave sucked butt! My hands look like i paint for a living, a monkey could have done a better job, and so she tried to clean it up and she passes over my cut with acetone!!!! UGH! That hurt like a mother and its still hurts! The nails feel all stuck to my fingers and are very uncomfortable. No way i left her a tip and needless to say i will NOT be going back. I didn't have a yelp account but I opened one just to rate this damn place. I type all day at work and i am having a hard time doing that today from the pain i feel. This is by far one of the worst pedicures I have gotten done!! I think the owner or the person in charge of the place did my pedicure, she did a HORRIBLE job.. First off, she didn't put my feet to soak in the water right away she did it 10 min after. Secondly, while she was grabbing her instrument she dropped it and picked it back up and just rinsed it off in the water and continued. She didn't care to get a new instrument or to change her latex glove. Lastly she didn't clean out the corners on my toes! Specially the big toes where there is a little more debri.. the massage that followed was lame, she massaged my feet and legs with both orange scrub and lotion which I didn't like. Not to mention, she didn't even wipe my legs and feet right. There was lotion and scrub left on both my feet and legs! Always a great experience when I come. I stopped by today without an appt and only waited 5 minutes! The staff was very attentive and my specialist was very detail oriented. She up sold me on everything but it was really worth it and she knew what she was talking about. The place is clean and qell kept. 5 spa chairs so not too bad. I will return. I used to love this place, it was my GO-TO!! All of the old nail techs have quit and there are all new girls. I tried to give them a chance 3 different occasions - yesterday was by far the worst experience ever. I will not be back. They were very rough, the job was done messy. She cut me more than once, left polish on my hands, I even had to ask (nicely) if she could fix it and she spoke to another nail tech in her language and then cut the nail not fixing the problem at all. I paid, tipped them, and walked away very displeased. It's a shame because this place used to be really good but now since the owner is never there the new people in charge are rude and inexperienced. read more

I tried to come once more before I gave my review. My first visit was ok. Nothing special, but I did like the fact they did the dip method. The lady I had was decent. Now onto today! I asked the lady to cut the sides of my toenails. She went on about how it will cause ingrown toenails. I have always clipped the sides of my toenails and have never had an issue. She didn't do it! I had to tell her 3 tines and then she proceeded of course to talk about with the others lol. Now my manicure is not quality at all! I asked her to even them out and make them square. I end up with a few of each lol! The color is darker on some and they are not what I wanted. Pedicure was very rushed and I paid for extra services. She then doesn't put paper in between my toes. I ask her and she tells me I don't need it . Now I already know I do, but hey I'm going to let you learn the hard way! Of course what happens???!!! She has to fix 2 and only ONE put a small piece of cotton between one toe! By now i am ready to just be done! The kicker was when I went to pay the owner said they looked nice and I informed her no they did not and tries to proceed to inform her way. Mid sentence she responses "65.00". Now it was 60.00 last visit. She says because we had to take off the previous powder! When do you pay for that??? I paid and left! Will not be back! I was on a hunt to find a new nail salon closer to home and this place has great reviews but I didn't get the opportunity to get my nails done there since there was an hour wait. I only saw one person waiting and 4 customers being helped, then again they only have 4 spa pedi chairs. I really hate waiting so I will continue going to PI nail salon in Downey. Came for a gel pedicure and was extremely satisfied! They are very clean and sanitary. I saw them wash the little pedicure tub right after, theirs tools are fresh out of pack. The chairs massage, the ladies are polite and awesome! I highly recommend this place! And they got a stamp card! read more
