We where in the area and stopped in and tried. I would recommend this restaurant if you are in the mood for Jamaican. The owners are very friendly. The food was very good

I've finally found a AUTHENTIC Caribbean restaurant! Everything was DELICIOUS!!! Let's start with the delicious Beef Patty!! OMG I couldn't buy one! I finished two patties before I got in the car!! The tea's are homemade and delicious! Everything made authentic and with LOVE!! I can't have spicy food so Mrs. Lana personally made my Large barbecue chicken plate! Every inch was made to order and perfectly!!! She made me a salad instead of the spicy cabbage and she made me steamed rice due to my not liking peas! It was like my MOM made my plate!!! Worth every penny!! I spent $30 trying multiple items! I AM GOING BACK!! I never ate plantains but Mrs. Lana WON ME OVER!! The cornbread was made like my Momma's!! Then she made homemade pound cake and cut me my own slice to try!!! Love at first meet! This is my new "SPOT!" Especially when I want authentic Caribbean cuisine!!! Service and food deserve FIVE STARS! Don't let the appearance fool you!!!

I took a trip to Jamaica by visiting here. The food is great the Jerk chicken is the real deal, it wasn't hot to me but to others it may be too much. I played so Dominoes with the owners and won 3 times in a row. I'm definitely coming back here.

Not as good as I anticipated. Not sure if that was the actual owner but she's rude. Won't go back The Island Kitchen is much better

Food tasted like it was microwaved and did not have some of the stuff listed on their Menu. For the cost could do better.

So, I ordered online. Mini chicken curry, rice & peas and cabbage and it was surprisingly better than I expected. I'd def order again. Also, I have my eye on the brown stewed chicken on my way home. I recommend. Oh, it may smell like weed when you walk in. You'll get used to it quickly. Hahahahaha Happy eating!

Each table is set up where you have the option to play checkers, dominos, uno or other games. We came here to eat - it never crossed our mind to sit and play games - maybe next time. We started with their rum punch, it wasn't bad. The rum wasn't overpowering the drink so that was a plus. We ordered the stew chicken, jerk chicken, plantains and festival. Everything was really good, not too spicy. The Jerk chicken portion was large, I wasn't expecting that much chicken but I was happy. Gud Vybz is more than just a restaurant, you can hangout here and listen to the music while playing various games. Next time, I'm coming for the food, drinks, music and games. I wasn't ready for this place it exceeded my expectation.

The Mac and cheese is some of the best Mac and cheese I've ever had. The rice and beans are delicious along with the plantains. The Cole slaw is also the best Cole slaw in the area. This visit, the moment I walked to the counter I was greeted with a smile, and I remember her from my first visit. I ordered the 1/2 chicken because it was only $3 more than a 1/4 chicken with 2 sides. You get both white and dark meat and I order fried Yucca and black beans & rice. The chicken has so much flavor from the charcoal. The Yucca was perfectly fried fresh, and the black beans and rice were satisfying. It is a little pricey about $27 with fountain drink and a 15% tip (in my opinion they should not ask with their point of sale system when it is not a full service restaurant). This is the reason why they got a 3 star instead of 4 stars. This reminds me of Peruvian style rotisserie chicken that I use to eat when I lived in Washington DC area. Here, they are branded as Latin American Charcoal Chicken. This not a full service restaurant. You order at the counter and pick up at the order at the other end. They have a small but adequate dining room. I wonder how they are during a lunch and dinner rush. I will soon see.
