I've been meaning to write this review for a few months now. Here we go: Just when I think customer service couldn't get any better at Dublin Mazda, they go and outdo themselves. The funny thing is, the customer service here is absolutely genuine. I took my CX-5 in for its first service and was greeted by my service advisor, Heather. She was super cheery and personable--she made conversation and immediately gave friend vibes. She's clearly been in the business for a while because she was confident, knowledgeable, and never once felt salesy. When my car was done, I went on my merry way. I got home and parked in the driveway like normal. I didn't leave again until just after 6 p.m. when I noticed an oil spot underneath my car. Obviously alarmed, I called the dealership knowing service had literally closed two minutes earlier. Someone in sales answered, listened to what happened, and actually walked over to the service department to see who was still there. That's how I got connected with Damon. Who, spoiler, is the service manager, yet never once took that credit. He just jumped in and handled business. Damon immediately apologized and had me set up with a loaner car. I'm not exaggerating--it coordinated everything in about 15 minutes. I drove my car down, picked up the loaner, and went back home. Seamless. Now, it was my decision to drive the car in, I didn't feel the leak was so bad it was inoperable to drive. Damon offered to have the car picked up and brought in, I declined. Heather called me first thing the next morning to apologize again and let me know they were sending someone out to clean the oil off my driveway. I'm sorry... what?! Who does that?! Dublin Mazda, that's who. After a thorough inspection (and cleaning because there was oil everywhere), they found the culprit: a faulty oil filter. And even if it had ended up being due to mechanic error, oh well, things happen. Heather then went out of her way to get me reunited with my car, even offering to deliver it to me. The entire service department went above and beyond. None of it felt forced or like they were just checking boxes. They handled everything graciously because they genuinely care. As someone who's been on both sides of the counter--having worked at a dealership for years and, more recently, having spent way too much time dealing with a GMC lemon--I can honestly say I've never experienced this level of customer service. Beyond grateful for the service department at Dublin Mazda. Thank you for putting your customers first. read more

I am writing not about the service department but the sales department. I don't mind that you don't have a person waiting to help me test drive a car when I immediately get there. I'm happy to wait 10 minutes for someone who can. I am not terribly upset the car I want to test drive is unavailable. It would have been nice to drive it. Or even see it. But no one bothered to show me the car. Or any car. What I am upset is that you saw I was wearing a wedding ring and asked me if all my decision makers are here. Like I need my husband's permission to buy a car (I managed to buy the last 2 without help). I doubt you would have asked my husband that if he was at the dealership. Instead I finally talked to a woman (my service advisor) who finally cared enough to grab keys to show me the inside of a car because the men just chose to dismiss me. It wasn't even her job guys! It's 2026. Please do better. read more

I dread car shopping, especially dealing with the high-pressure and sleazy tactics at the dealerships in SJ even with their "Be Happy" motto, I've never left happy from the multiple new car purchases or service at their different dealers. After all the frustrating experiences in my area and their nickel-and-diming customers, I decided to expand my search radius -- and I'm so glad I did! I decided to try Dublin Mazda, which is an hour away from my house, and from the first phone call, the experience was completely different. George was friendly, transparent, and zero-pressure. They had a couple CX-90's I was looking for and George had no issues with me wanting to test drive multiple vehicles. One of the ones I was interested in was on their showroom floor, so I was going to test drive a different one so they wouldn't have to move it out, but George and the sales manager Keith insisted it was not an issue for them to pull it off the floor so I can test drive that one too. The hour drive was absolutely worth it. This was the best experience buying a new vehicle I've ever had. George was accommodating and honest from the beginning and put my interests first. Even when coming back the next day to pick up accessories, George stayed with me to make sure I received the right items. I highly recommend Dublin Mazda. Bought a CX-50 from Mazda Dublin, had a great experience thru the sales process. Post sales, I've had to bring the car for an oil pan leak that was found during an oil change. Initially I was quoted 3 days. Came back 3 days later to find that the car wasn't worked on. I received no communication from the service department that it wasn't close to being ready. I even tried calling them before heading down, I got voicemails with inboxes too full to leave a message. I tried calling sales and having them route me to services, just to be held on the line for 10 minutes and get hung up. I went down to the shop and found that it wasn't even started. I had to go out of town that next week, they told me that it would be ready when I got back. I was given the car when I returned, and a few weeks later the same oil leak returned. I've been trying to schedule a service appt thru the my mazda app and the app is broken, won't connect me to scheduling. Tried calling to schedule the appointment and on many occasions haven't even connected with someone to schedule the appointment. Tried 5 separate days. Even their AI assistant couldn't help me schedule an appointment after it looked up my profile via my phone number I hope others are getting a better experience thru the services department here but I haven't had a good experience. I came in because my car was vibrating and suspected an engine mount issue. They diagnosed it as a radiator mount and replaced it -- the vibration never went away. When I asked the guy at the front desk about it, he shrugged it off and said "my car does that too." That's not a fix, that's a dismissal. A few months later I brought the car in for routine maintenance. They came back with a laundry list of repairs totaling several thousand dollars. One item: a full control arm replacement at $1,200. Something felt off, so I took it to Tri Valley Automotive down the road. Their mechanic inspected the control arms and told me they were completely fine -- no work needed. So to summarize: they couldn't fix the problem I actually came in with, brushed off my concerns, and then tried to sell me $1,200 worth of repairs I didn't need. If you're coming here for maintenance, think twice. Tri Valley Automotive is nearby, honest, and I'd much rather give them my money. Lesson learned. read more
