Diner atmosphere but they have more than just diner type food. Prices range from $18 to 50 per entree. Friendly service. Vegetarian options available. The German chocolate cake is a bit skimpy on the coconut compared to traditional recipe and skillet potatoes could use a bit more seasoning. Outside of that- Overall the food was good and was a generous portion size. Free parking. Open 24hrs.

The server was nice and the door lady was polite as well. This place definitely gives old school diner vibes and is pleasant to sit, however; the food is bad. I might even argue that it's terrible. Both of the times I've been here the food has been unpleasant and neither party has enjoyed their food. Breakfast or dinner. Stomach upset and I cried a little lol. I did enjoy the comedy shows tho.

The Greek Omelet

I got 2 Greek omelets. I called the order in to ask if I could add instructions because online ordering didn't allow it. The person who answered gladly allowed me to make changes and my order was complete in 10 minutes. Customer service was awesome and the food is so yummy! I added spinach and mushrooms and asked for it to be cooked light with no browning on our egg. PERFECTION!

Late night pricing?
Tiff H.

We were drunk. We were hungry. We were desperate. Landmark was on the way home from a drunken evening and for some reason 2.5 stars on Yelp but open late seemed like a fun idea. Wrong. I can admit that we were wrong. We walked in and immediately regretted. It was super busy at 1am. But even then, we still had a seat and ordered (although service was super slow). The menu was very Cheesecake Factory-esque. There were so many options and to tipsy Tiff, everything sounded so good. I ended up ordering the Chicken Parmesan, which came out to $26 pre tax. I'll let the photo speak for itself but the chicken Parmesan was sub bar. Probably won't be ordering that again. That is, if I even come back again. Later when we got the check, I noticed that it showed "Late Night" so maybe during the day, prices are more reasonable....??? Suffice it to say, I won't be back at Landmark Diner.

This is a 4:20 am review. Haha. For late night/early morning eats I recommend. Service is excellent. Security is present and cordial. Nice lighting. People watching is PRIME. The food? It's 3 am diner food. We had spaghetti and meatballs which were fine and the gyro which was also fine. Carrot cake was tasty albeit incredibly sweet. I will probably come back here and keep trying other items but over the years it has remained consistent for what it is. Def tops a lot of the alternatives for the late night vittles scene and the menu is large so it satisfies a variety of cravings.

Lobster and Shrimp Fra Diavolo

I've lived in Atlanta for about 4 years and have seen this restaurant numerous times but I've never dropped in. But after having a long night I decided to give it a try and I was not disappointed. It wasn't that busy, it was around 10:30 am. Our server was super sweet. Like I wish I could take her with me everywhere. She lights up a room when she walk in. beautiful smile. And amazing personality. She got our food out to us promptly. She gave a lot of good suggestions. They have so many menu options it actually make it hard to decide what it is that you would want. But on the specials menu I seen that had Lobster and Shrimp Fra Diavolo. When the dish came out I didn't know what to expect. But the dish was mind blowing. Filled with jumbo succulent shrimp and 3 whole lobster tails. I could not believe it. I didn't love that they didn't have house made noodles. But the dish was still great. The perfect amount of spice. The seafood was seasoned to perfection. I also noticed that next door they host a lot of comedy shows so I think I'll be back for dinner and a show.

Thick-Cut French Toast (Challah Bread)

I don't get the Landmark Diner hate! There is free parking but I didn't see too many spots. There was only one server for a Wednesday night, but he was so attentive. We were sat very quickly and he took all of our orders and kept our drinks full without any prompting. The inside is a little dark and not as updated as other diners, but there were Christmas decorations up. I ordered a bacon burger and added cheese and my boyfriend ordered the sausage and cheese omelette. We split the french toast. I thought the burger was honestly so good and so thick. Fries were crispy and plentiful. My boyfriend enjoyed his omelette. The french toast was thick and syrup was served warm. I wasn't too keen on the edges of the french toast bread and I usually have no issues. The edges were exceptionally dry imo. Will note the bacon burger on the menu was labelled as $16.99. I was charged $17.99 (before the up charge on cheese). Food prices have risen, but there was no mention by the server or messaging inside the restaurant or on the menu to expect prices to be higher than on the menu. Wasn't too fond of this, but it's only $1. Service here was amazing and you could tell the owners were all there in the restaurant even at late hours of the night. If we need a late bite to eat and we're in the area, we'll be back!

Good service. Odd ambience. Food was nice. They make you split the check by table not by person. Lots of good old boys in there

Jasmine D, our server was prompt and very personable. The menu was full of delectable choices for brunch or lunch. We ordered the Very Berry French Toast, Chix & Pancakes & bacon, Jerk Chicken & Sweet Potato Waffles, and a Kids Cheese Scramble & bacon and grits. Everything was absolutely delicious! Some restaurants are trendy…read more Some restaurants are modern. And some restaurants take one look at changing food trends and say, "Nah, we're good." The Silver Skillet in Atlanta falls firmly into that last category. This place is an old-school Southern diner in all the best ways possible. The kind of place where the coffee keeps flowing, the biscuits arrive without apology, and calories are treated more like suggestions than rules. In fact, we took an early morning flight to Atlanta specifically to make sure we'd get there before they close at 2:00 PM. That's either a testament to how much we enjoy The Silver Skillet or evidence that we need a support group for Southern breakfast food. I'm leaning toward both. It's also been featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, which usually gets my attention. But unlike some places that become famous and start coasting on reputation, The Silver Skillet still earns its following the old-fashioned way: by serving really good food. And judging by the walls and the stories, I'm not the only one who thinks so. Over the years, celebrities ranging from Samuel L. Jackson to Charles Barkley and Travis Tritt have eaten here. After this visit, I completely understand why. Whenever I'm in Atlanta, this place has become one of my regular stops. On this visit, my wife ordered the country fried steak smothered in white gravy with eggs and a biscuit. It was exactly what you want Southern comfort food to be: hearty, flavorful, satisfying, and unapologetically indulgent. Nobody orders country fried steak looking for a wellness retreat. I went with their signature country ham served with red gravy, scrambled eggs, and biscuits. Now, if you've never had country ham, understand that this isn't your average breakfast ham. Country ham shows up with attitude. Salty, rich, packed with flavor, and perfectly balanced by the red gravy. Combined with the eggs and biscuits, it was the kind of breakfast that makes you seriously consider canceling the rest of your plans and taking a nap. The atmosphere is part of the charm. It feels authentic because it is authentic. No manufactured nostalgia. No corporate designer trying to recreate a 1950s diner from a Pinterest board. This is the real thing. The Silver Skillet has survived because it knows exactly what it is and executes it well. Solid food. Friendly service. A classic Atlanta institution. And a place that's earned every bit of its reputation. Four stars. When you're willing to schedule a flight around a restaurant's closing time, that's about as strong an endorsement as a breakfast spot can get.

I've been coming to The Silver Skillet for breakfast a few times now because I wanted to try a…read morevariety of things on the menu, and I can confidently say this place is special. They're about to hit 70 years this May, and it makes sense the second you walk in. The inside is about as classic diner as it gets. Comfortable booths, old-school feel, and a front counter with snacks, shirts, and little items for sale that just add to the charm. The staff is what really takes it over the top. Nikki has been my server multiple times, and she's amazing. She's usually singing or whistling along to whatever music is playing, and it honestly puts you in a good mood without you even realizing it. Service like that is rare. Food-wise, I've tried several things now, and everything has been great, but here are my top standouts: The catfish is one of my favorites. It comes in strips, fried perfectly, and packed with flavor. Chicken and waffles are excellent. The waffle is crispy on the outside and soft inside instead of fluffy, and it works really well. The chicken itself is seriously flavorful -- not just crispy, but seasoned really well all the way through. But the biggest surprise for me: The country ham with red-eye gravy. I'm not exaggerating when I say this might be the best ham I've ever had. It's thinly sliced, so you don't have to deal with a thick, chewy cut, and it's full of flavor. The red-eye gravy that the ham is marinated in (which I was told is a family recipe) takes it to another level. They also give you extra on the side to dip. If you mix that ham with over-easy eggs and hash browns, then grab a bite with a biscuit... that's one of the best breakfast bites I've had in a long time. And to top it all off, it just pairs perfectly with a nice, cold Diet Coke. Something about that combo just works. And to be clear, it's not just one or two good items -- everything I've had here has been great. I've also tried the omelet, the chicken biscuit with egg and cheese, and the country fried steak, and they've all been consistently delicious. They have a large breakfast menu, and I still haven't even gotten into lunch yet. Only thing to keep in mind is parking. There is a lot on the side, but it fills up quickly since other businesses share the area. If you come at a busy time, it might take a minute to find a spot. Overall, this is one of those places you keep coming back to. Spots like this are part of the community and deserve the support. Wishing them another 100 years.
