When planning my rather large project I called around a lot; I had at least 10 different companies come look and make an offer (well some didn't even bother getting back to me). Most were sky-high. LandTeck was the _only_ one that didn't add 10K for the fact that the house is in a "fancy neighborhood". The offer came in exactly where I expected it to be; the final bill was exactly as the offer had originally suggested. They started a little over two weeks ago and have shown up _every_single_day and done a VERY VERY nice job. Esteban and his gang can lay pavers like no one else. Not a stone is turned the wrong way. I cannot recognize the lateness in getting back to you. Carlos and I have been texting pretty much every day from morning to late late evening. He has been out a number of times and we got together to walk the project and when we finished today there were very minor small things that need taking care of. I know people have different experience with different companies, but the simple fact that they showed up when they promised, they were responsive and responsible, they did the work, it looks great and they didn't all of a sudden over charge me is enough to give my seal of approval. We are already in the process of planning a few smaller projects to finish the yard and redo the front a bit, and I wouldn't bother going anywhere else. read more

This review is not on the overall work but rather on the conduct of the owner (Carlos) and the horrible job they did on my driveway. To start, they did do a good job on the artificial grass I requested and the planter bed with trees and shrubs. This is where it ended. During this process, there was a large scratch made on my paver driveway to which the owner said they would fix (promise #1). Then he said he would also include a stain for my pavers as part of their work (promise #2). Once the primary job was finished, and all that was left was the driveway to be stained and repaired, I paid for the remainder of the job (huge mistake). Do NOT pay this company until ALL portions of the job are complete. After weeks of Back and forth two of their guys came out to complete the job. When they left I found, 1. They did not replace the scratched pavers, 2. The stain was horrible and looked like they took a broken hose to the pavers (uneven, not clean, and extremely spotty) 3. They ruined the bottom of the garage by spraying the sealer all over it. I sent pictures to Carlos and he promised to fix it again, and said it was due to a broken sprayer. Fast forward now two months since this happened and add in multiple times he promised to show up and just never did without warning. Finally after two months, after being extremely patient, I told him that he needed to finally come out and finish. Without apology he simply states, how about tomorrow between 12-2. I agreed and took off work to be there to monitor the work. Surprise Surprise they did not show up again and there was no call or anything. I finally wrote Carlos an email telling him that I no longer needed his service due to this extreme unprofessionalism and that I would be posting a bad review. Funny how now all of a sudden he responds with an apology and said he would "pay" for me to go somewhere else. It doesn't stop there. I read some of the other negative reviews and now can see exactly what they were referring to. Before this situation and during the primary work I referred my parents and other family to him. Funny enough they said that they refused to do business with him because he was unprofessional and trying to get him to respond to anything was a joke. I would say as a caution that if you do hire this company, that you NOT pay in full until the job is completely done and ALL repairs are made. Also, be prepared to be on top of him with quotes, pricing and timelines because he is not. I can't say enough good things about this company! Carlos and his team are so good and efficient. I'm a pretty picky person when it comes to paid services and I would say this company is one of the BEST I've ever hired! They are always here when they need to be, they always take care of our landscaping needs. If something isn't working I just let Carlos know and literally he gets his guys out here first thing in the morning! Amazing!!! "FREE ESTIMATES" is the LARGE BOLD wording for Land Teck's June 2019 ad in Home Concepts Magazine so I phoned and spoke to Brenda about my back yard. I was seeking someone to do "Landscape renovation, Landscape clean ups,Irrigation repairs (also exact wording in their ad. Brenda's responses were as follows: Land Teck does not trim palm trees. Brenda wanted to charge me $40 for anything that has to do with irrigation system, even if it just meant possibly needing to adjust nozzles. Thus, I canceled my appointment with Carlos. BOTTOM LINE: Decades of experience taught me that if you can't trust the advertising, you can rarely trust the merchant. read more

We were notified that we were "leaking" over 175 gallons of water daily! We had a plumbing company perform a leak detection believing it was a main water service line leak since a number of homes in Aliante Treviso had experienced this problem. Once told it was in our irrigation line, we called LandTeck .Carlos Rosales arrived as scheduled to review the problem. Carlos gave us a reasonable estimate to redo the entire front and back drip system to assure an updated system that should last another ten+ years. The amazing thing is a crew was scheduled the very next day (a Saturday) and by Sunday our leak was gone as verified by waterscope. They came out and replaced our 15 year old 1/2" poly and all the drip emitters. We have extensive landscape plants in three beds, trees, shrubs, roses and flowers. They did a very thorough and clean job, from the valves to the heads, including burying our lighting wires and leveling any mounds. Our leaks were eliminated and our plants are all getting a sufficient amount of water, with no waste. The clean-up and inspection were to my satisfaction. read more

After 2 reschedules for maintenance (first due to high wind and second due to lack of staff) as well as not returning my text messages -- I fired him! It all started with "sod" planting -- which was ok, but he never came back to follow up on it, especially when I reached out to him to let him know that patches are dying. Then after giving him an opportunity to provide monthly maintenance, he bad mouthed my previous landscapers claiming that they did not do proper cleaning and that he will "show" me how it's done! Well, I wanted to give this fast talker a chance-- even though I never met him. All negotiations by phone. I contacted this company to come out and do an estimate for my small front & back yards. Some stuff in the back was overgrown and my front grass requires mowing and fertilizing. I told them I wasn't too happy with the current guy who was charging me $50 a week to do this service. I told them I was shopping around looking for someone to beat that price and also an estimate to get the back taken care of. They came out the following day while I wasn't home and gave me an estimate over text which was great, I wish more companies were this flexible. The issue I had was A) with the price, and B) with the lack of response from this company. They wanted $180 a week to mow my lawn. Are you kidding me? When I had first called they told me every visit is about $35. Which beats what I was paying at $50 a week. But 5 times what he originally quoted me, a WEEK? I don't live on a large piece of land, look at the pictures of my property. Would take 15 minutes tops. Not only that, when I confronted the guy about the prices, he just ignored me. Carlos Rosales came out to give me an estimate for my front yard. I have a tiny yard with 8 medium trees that needed new water lines and drippers ends. He quoted me $1200 and before I could even say no he talked himself down to $600. I didn't even have to say anything and he came down $600. Im sure he saw the look on my face and reacted. Normally I would just move on but this was so shady that I had to share. A business has to make a profit but not by being shady and grossly overcharging customers. The one star is for the timely manner Carlos came out for an estimate. Last week we discussed a few options and came to a price. He said work could begin within 3 days after my notification. I said I plan to get additional estimates and would let him know. Yesterday, I called the office to make sure we were on the same page regarding the scope of the work and the price. Carlos sent me an email stating the price was now several hundred dollars more because the original quote was only good for the day he was here. He never mentioned this "blue light special", nor was it in the written contract. Being the petulant child that he is, he also said that if I had approved the project then it would be finished by now. Very mature. This company also goes by Las Vegas Irrigation Repair and Sprinkler and Irrigation Repair Las Vegas, possibly others as well. We had Carlos and his crew completely redo our yard and we are very happy with the work and the price. First.. they can do the whole job. We needed to have the entire irrigation system replaced, trim the trees, install a gate, refresh the rock, lay flagstone and pavers and do a yard cleanup. The Initial estimator was friendly efficient and clear. I agreed to an initial clean-up ($225). I had recently paid another company $400 for clean-up (after receiving a bid from yet another company for $1,000), but the $400 company never would schedule regular maintenance. The LandTeck estimator said the first clean-up was inadequate. I also agreed to 2X per month regular maintenance. The LandTeck clean-up crew did a poor job (explained below). Regular maintenance failed to show up for first appointment. The first regular maintenance crew boss (Jose) confirmed my opinion that the clean-up crew seriously damaged 10 rose bushes by "pruning" them with a hedge trimmer. They did the same with a bush morning glory that soon died. The first and second regular maintenance was good, and Jose was very good. A day or two after the second regular maintenance, an irrigation person (Francisco) showed up unexpectedly, apparently requested by Jose. Francisco found a damaged irrigation valve leaking a lot of water, quoted $480 to repair, to which I agreed, and which he did. Francisco asked if i wanted to pay him cash and I said I preferred to receive an invoice as had been the case with other services. I received the invoice the next day that included a Sept. 9 due date. I attempted to pay the $480 using LandTeck's Intuit ACH payment facility but had trouble with the user interface, which I described in an email to the Company. I received a telephone call from Carlos Rosales demanding payment and stating that he would send Francisco to my house to collect $480. I told Carlos (who eventually identified himself as the owner) that he could send anyone he liked but I wouldn't pay him, but would pay by a bank bill pay service. Sr. Rosales was impatient, unreasonable, unprofessional and rude, among other things suggesting I was a deadbeat (my word not his). By the way, I believe it is more likely than not that LandTeck personnel broke the irrigation valve. I initiated a bank bill pay check for the $480 on Aug 13 and will do the same when I receive an invoice for Aug. regular maintanance. I do not recommend doing any business with LandTeck Las Vegas. read more

LandTeck just did a conversion of our front yard to desert landscaping. I have nothing but the highest praise for the crew that did the work, as well as Carlos, who was our Project Manager/Estimator. Several of my neighbors have stopped by to tell us how wonderful everything looks and one even commented that we have the nicest looking yard in the neighborhood. Carlos was extremely easy to work with and had many great ideas that were incorporated into the design. I had several other contractors bid the work and not one made a presentation with the detail and stunning layout that Carlos provided. The cost was also less than all but one other bid we received. I would totally do 4 1/2 stars if I could; the work was great, the quote was great, the only issue was some lack of communication in trying to coordinate on what exactly we were having done and on which plants we were getting but the install was all done clean and professional and we are happy with our yard! We needed up needing to replace the box for the system and Fernando was there the very next day to fix it and show us how it worked.
