I'm not going to go into graphic detail, but my toes needed some professional help and Lanny did the job for only $13. My pedicurist not only had the patience to deal with my disastrous toenails but also my ridiculously ticklish feet. Can you imagine trying to remove a callus on a big hairy foot that flies up at your face every 30 seconds? I can't, but it was my pedicurist's entire Saturday afternoon. She did a great job. My feet are fixed and looking great. I have friends who've had worse experiences with their staff but I can only speak for my own. Some of their staff is not very friendly - Lanny's just isn't the warmest place to be. But when push comes to shove, Lanny Nails is a solid, affordable spot in a neighborhood that usually breaks the bank. read more

MY NAIL BROKE ONE DAY IN BEFORE A TRIP. I asked the nail tech to make them as short as she can so that I won't have to worry about a nail breaking. While packing my bag less than 24 hours after the appointment my nail snapped opening a drawer. To top it off she was pretty rude the entire appointment and had a poor attitude. I'm not sure if that was sprouted by a guy getting extensions with gel in the salon (but it is West Hollywood so that's not out of the ordinary). 1/10 would not recommend if you want your manicure to last more than a day. read more

Leo H was a jerk!! I was there. The folks who work at lannys are the best!! This dudes wife got a regular pedi. After it was all done she decided she wanted gels -- fully knowing it should cost more. It was like a con move. I've been going to lanny for 20 years and all of us who come here cherish these hard working sisters with the best prices in town. It's a $22 mani/pedi. I went in with really low expectations. Maybe that's why I was so happy with them, but you know what, it's three weeks later, and yes, my mani chipped, but not till 3 or 4 days after, and I'm hard on my hands - so again, low expectations. Here's the thing - my pedi? Still almost 100% perfect. And I'm the girl who stubs a toe, or falls, or something (!!) almost every day. Lanny Nails is open until 7 which is why I gave it 2 stars instead of one. the prices are reasonable until you get your services done. i got a manicure and a pedicure here. my pedicure is ugly. -1 star. and my french manicure is horrible. the polish was glopped on so unevenly and thick. truly horrendous. the people here do not know what they are doing. i also paid for a facial waxing but the waxer missed several spots. truly disappointing and a waste of my $50. will not be returning. read more

I thought I had found my go to nail salon. I have been struggling with an ingrown toenail that is crazy painful and Kathy did a wonderful job relieving some of the discomfort. She advised me to make a appointment for my next visit so she could continue working on it. I made an appointment for two weeks out. I did but this time I waited 45min just for her to pass me off to another technician. Who by the way also did a decent job. At this point I'd been in this salon for over 2 hours for a basic mani - pedi. Today, I walked in 15mins after they opened and they sat me down immediately. Great. My former technician recognized me and I said I would like to have take care of me but Kathy said no I had to make an appointment. Not, she's booked it's gonna take awhile or can you come back in an hour, just NO. lol. Book another appointment for what? I remember going to them when they were a packed house on Sweetzer and 3rd, and when I drove by again, they moved. I found them through Yelp on Beverly and Sweetzer and at least they have more room to wait and get worked on. I guess I say 'get worked on' because I felt like I was a car getting an oil change there. It's wham bam thank you ma'am and they barely speak to you. In fact, it felt like they forgot I had a body that accompanied these hands. They are cheap for a mani/pedi combo at $22 but for $3 more you can go to Nail Spa on La Cienega and get a calmer atmosphere, less talking to each other, more attention paid to you and a polish that LASTS. Problem with Lanny's is that they coat it on so quick, it can smudge and then chip within a day. F that. Plus, they are cash only and the ATM is a high transaction fee. Not bad for a $10 manicure. I wasn't expecting a fancy pants spa experience. It was only $10. I hate there isn't enough signage that they are cash only. I ended up getting $$$ from their in house ATM. I expected a hefty fee and there was one. Ugh. Other than that, it's a pretty neat mani. No real complaints on that end. The polish isn't very organized, some looked kind of old. I wanted to get pedi until I noticed they didn't have pedi chairs. Will I come back, sure why not. I just know to bring some cash and to be prepared to search through polishes. This will be my pani in pinch place since it's only 2 blks from my work. UPDATE NEXT DAY: I noticed some streaks but like I said I paid $10. No bigs. My problem is that shady ATM. I look online last night and the charge from the ATM was there. I've been getting my nails done for at least 10 years on a regular basis, but when I moved to downtown, it was hard to find a salon within close distance that wasn't spendy (over $25 just to get my eye brows done is ridiculous to me). Now granted, most of the places I go to only have the spa chairs - so it was a bit of a compromise on my part sitting in the normal seats. If it weren't for the incredibly inexpensive prices, I might look elsewhere. They obviously don't spend much keeping up with their facilities, but I guess that's how they can afford their prices. The salon is almost unnoticeable located on a busy street near the Beverly Center. This is a no frills nail salon with low prices and the most incredible staff! They remember you and your preferred nail colors, no matter how long it's been! You can get a gel mani for $25, a pedi for $14. Only cash is accepted, and make sure you bring plenty so you can tip! Once I messed up my toes after leaving, and they redid them for free! read more

$23 for a mani/pedi on this side of Beverly? Count me in! When I couldn't get an appointment at LA Beverly Hills Nails where Tom the mastermind of nails worked, I was clueless. I felt like I was trying to find a new hair stylist...Ok, maybe not that dramatic, but thank goodness for Lanny Nails! The salon isn't high-end in decor, but it is spacious and clean. I came with 3 other girlfriends, and everyone was satisfied with their mani/pedi. I believe I had Yen and Ven and they were both fabulous. Lanny's has a great selection of colors to choose from OPI, essie, and China Glaze. The staff is super friendly - actually even pretty funny I must say, and they do a thorough job. For 22 bones, I'm not gonna complain. The inside is big and bright and relatively clean. They offer a ton of great polish colors. I arrived 20 minutes before closing, but they did not turn me away, nor did they rush me. The ladies were relatively friendly and we watched Jeopardy on the flat screen. Everything was A-Ok. My only complaint was their top coat. It's not the quick drying Seche Vite that we all use and love. It was something called Top & Bottom. My guess is that it is both a top and bottom coat? Anyway, it sucks. I had to sit there forever waiting for my nails to dry. Of course by then it is past 7 and all the girls are getting ready to leave. I felt bad making them wait for me so I left with wet nails. I drove home with my hands out the windows and the AC directed at my feet. I get inside and my nails are still wet 20 minutes later. So what did I do? I took out my Seche Vite and finished the job myself. 1 minute later my nails were dry! Lanny Nails isnt bad, but who has the time to wait for nails to dry? I may go back, but I'm taking my top coat with me. read more

Lanny's Nails is like a modern day Cheers--everyone knows your name and everyone is happy to see you. They have some of the best pricing in LA and they do an incredible job. I go into Lanny's every two weeks and it's something I look forward to. The girls always roll out the red carpet for me, ask about my family, and help me pick my nail colors. I like that they don't have nail driers or fans, because you don't ever feel rushed or like they want to replace your seat as soon as the last coat has been applied. You really can't complain when it comes to Lanny's. Sure, you're not in a luxurious spa chair BUT $22 bucks for a mani/pedi is a STEAL in this area. They do a great job at cleaning up your cuticles but you do have to be specific about the shape you want your nails. My polish on my mani's always last about 1.5 weeks and my pedis' can go up to 3 weeks. Definitely worth it! The only thing that blows is that they're cash only. SUPER inconvenient. read more

TOURISTS BEWARE!! I called at 4:30pm on Sunday afternoon, and seeing that the hours posted here on Yelp said they close at 5pm, we hustled from our hotel down for a speedy walk only to find out the packed place didn't close until 7pm. When I did call, the lady rushed me to get there and lied to me about the prices. She said $12 for each, when I asked about the price of a manicure and a pedicure. When we got there, they didn't have any prices listed at all. We ended up being there for 2 hours for 2 adults and 2 kids (too long for just mani/). The owner was frantically going over the other ladies work, correcting them, and even told one of her workers to take the polish off my daughter cuz it was "ugly", loud enough for every one to hear. She's apparently the only one that's allowed to do any designs or French, so clients had to wait until she got around to them. She's rude, disrespectful and simply because of her I would NOT recommend this place. All the other ladies were kind, polite, and did their jobs well. Our nails actually looked good in the end, and the place was decorative and clean. The main downfall is being deceived with the price as we ended up paying an exorbitant amount in the end. This is in my opinion the best place to get your nails done in West Hollywood. A mani/pedi is only $22 and they do a really good paint job. It usually lasts almost two full weeks. All of the ladies who work there are very very friendly and will remember you the next time you come in. 15 years ago, I discovered the joys of pedicures (very late in life). I was treating my sister and niece to a mani/pedi and they urged me to at least get a pedi. After some prodding, I gave in and got my first pedicure (and it was life changing). Lanny's is a no-frills, family owned and run shop with really good manicurists who do a great job every time. The prices are more than reasonable especially when I get extras like scrubs and extended foot massages, which are heaven. Lanny's did have lux massage chairs at one point but the customers always seemed to prefer the regular comfy office type chairs so they got rid of them. I'm not really looking for a Spa experience on a Sunday morning when I have things to do. I want to get in and get out, with my feet feeling rejuvenated. Lanny's is clean and now post pandemic, they are very thorough with their cleaning and safety procedures. 2020/2021 was a very hard year for manicurists and I'm just so glad they didn't have to close the business. I went today and it was so great to see everyone and now I can start back on my recurring visits there. I've moved over to the east side of L.A. but happily make the drive over to their location because it feels like visiting old friends and family. read more

I absolutely love my acrylic nails! I had come in with destroyed, short nails from a previous acrylic nail job gone bad. Tina did my nails, and I will absolutely see her again. She was incredibly meticulous, cut my cuticles extremely well, and then made sure to individually file and care for each nail to make sure they were straight and even. The lady said it was $38 for what we wanted and at the end they forced us to pay $50 and forced us to use an ATM with a $2.50 fee to pay in cash. No one mentioned cash only, this place is unethical. The lady who quoted us a price went on a break and the store wouldn't honor the $38 price. Avoid this place at all cost. Very shady business practice. read more
