Here is our little Pedro. He was loved and will be forever missed.

It has been two weeks since we sent our 14.5 year old fur baby over the rainbow bridge. His name was Pedro and he was the sweetest dog. Our experience with Lap of Love was exceptional. From my first call where the kindest soul named Alli listened to me cry and tell her where we were at in Pedro's life. She sent me numerous helpful resources and videos to watch. These were particularly helpful in that we felt confident we were at the right time to consider this. Our Vet Angel was Dr. April and this amazing individual cried with us, listened to our stories of Pedro and his life. She was so kind and her presence was a calming force for our little guy. She took her time, explained everything and patiently waited for us to give her the go ahead to proceed. Our little guy was so brave and the process was peaceful. We never want to lose our babies but I feel fortunate that we were able to send Pedro off in the best way we could.

Dr. Delia made an awful day less awful. The process was sad but could not have been more peaceful. Carlos drifted away as we cuddled him and just after slurping a puppucino: his *best thing, hands down. I was worried about having a stranger come to the house but Dr. Delia had just the right amount of calm and confidence to put everyone at ease. Nothing felt rushed or unexplained. I am not sentimental-nobody would hear me talking about "gaining wings" or "crossing the rainbow bridge." But Dr. Delia made a comment about how relieving one's pet from a painful and worn out body is an act of love. She was right. In the end, it felt like a mercy. My utmost gratitude to Dr. Delia. The service is pricey but worth the cost if you can swing it.

We recently had to make the tough decision to help our Moka (GSD/Belgian Malinois), cross over the rainbow bridge Their services were recommended by a good friend of mine and I'm glad she did. From the moment we made the painful decision to the moment we saw her take her last breath, Lap of Love was there every step of the way. Dr. Dominique day of was very patient with us and ensure our 5 year old felt supported. We chose to have the procedure at home where Moka would be most comfortable and she would be surrounded by all the ones who loved her. Our son was not present for the procedure, but did get a chance to say his farewell. He had a cat brother cross the rainbow bridge 2 years ago so Moka is now in the moon shining down on us. He looks for the moon every night to say good bye. We got Moka home a day ago and nothing can make that empty feeling go away. Moka was my husband's service dog of 9 years. She traveled, experienced many things most dogs don't get to do. Her proudest moment, was to have a human brother. She welcomed him at the hospital hours after being born. Lap of Love, you've made this transition as easy as it can be. You showed care and love even when speaking with everyone over the phone. Thank you for your kindness and support during one of the most heartbreaking moments of our lives.

It's so difficult when you make the decision to let your pet move on. And to have a compassionate vet come to your home and guide you lovingly through it is just a gift. Dr. Dianicia Kirton of Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice couldn't have been more healing during such a sad time. If I could give her more stars, I would. On the other hand please check out my review for Compassion Vet Hospice -- if there were minus stars I would do that. Choose Lap of Love Veterinary Service.

Lap of love supported me through the transition of my dear 13-year-old pug Sweet Pea. The appointment was easy to schedule. Dr. Matt Blanchong was caring, kind, and patient. You receive a paw print and a hair clipping. The book of resources is so helpful to navigate the grief process. It discusses the impact on the entire family. My other dog Debo is grieving also. They were so kind, as we said goodbye to our tiny boy that we had bottle fed and raised from birth. The in house diagnostics are great. We didn't have to wait long at all for the test results. The 2nd time, we brought in our elderly girl. She was 16. When her vet turned us away when we came to tell them we were coming in (they told us "maybe tomorrow"), we headed here. She'd been sick a while, we knew it was coming. Of course, that didn't make it any easier. The staff here was absolutely wonderful. As soon as we walked in, they took us out of the lobby so we wouldn't have to sit with all the happy/healthy animals. They didn't question us, they saw her and told us we were making the right choice. They brought her a soft cat bed to lay in. They gave us all the time we needed to hold her and love her, until we were ready. No pressure. Then they allowed my 16 year old daughter to hold her beloved girl until she was gone. We were allowed more time with her. Then they gave us each a vile of her beautiful fur. We weren't rushed. We did everything on our terms/time. And our girl left this world surrounded in love. I would 100% recommend PETS Referral Center. I hope we never have to go back. But, we would of we had too.

I went online and filled out the forms necessary for an emergency visit. When I arrived they were already expecting her, despite it being 4th of July, things moved quickly. Our dog was of old age, not eating, and lethargic. I was expecting that it was likely she was in the middle of passing away, which the team confirmed. The team put me in a room where I could talk with my family and make a decision with them (since I was dog sitting and everyone else was out of town). While the decision needed to be made quickly about next steps, they were empathetic and patient with us. We opted to put our girl to sleep; she was in a lot of suffering. The doctor was so respectful and it was a peaceful process. Thank you for caring for our Chispita. We are grateful for a sad yet peaceful experience.

When I contacted Restful Paws, I didn't know what to expect. In fact, I felt bad crying on the phone because I couldn't imagine trying to talk to someone like me at that moment. But the staff couldn't be more understanding and supportive. Unlike making end of life decisions for your fur baby, the process of scheduling this appointment was very easy. Restful Paws asked all the right questions, set the expectations, and made this process that much easier. And on the day of, Dr. Ami arrived promptly at the scheduled time. She was very caring and understanding, and she put all of us at ease. We could not have asked for a better last day for our Sodapop. I'm thankful that we reached out to restful pause, and grateful that they were able to come to our house to help us get through this phase. Weeks later, we received a card from Dr. Ami sending us her condolences. Thank you, Restful Paws, for doing the service that you do. I'm sure it's not easy, and I can only imagine how sad it is to do this on a daily basis. Thank you so much!

From calling to make an appointment, receiving reminder emails, and day of texts from our vet, each step was handled with so much compassion. We were able to find a weekend availability which was best scenario so everyone could attend. Dr. Vine was very punctual the day of and gave us a thorough breakdown of what to expect (pain reliever, anesthesia, and euthanasia). We didn't feel rushed at any point, and we were given ample time before proceeding to each stage. She was very respectful and the process was smooth. After the euthanasia, we were able to choose where we wanted the fur clippings. The paw print was perfectly imprinted with Christy's name, which added such a sweet personal touch. We chose to pickup Christy's ashes at Sage, and it was quick. The only thing is it felt very jarring going to an animal hospital filled with so many people and dogs. Considering this was only 2 weeks after the euthanasia, I was still grieving and it was difficult being in that environment so soon. The only feedback I'd give is it'd be more mindful if there was a separate pickup location away from everyone else for more privacy. Dr. Vine sent a sympathy card as well and it was very sweet. Thank you so much for giving Christy such a respectful experience and having her pass comfortably and peacefully. I will definitely recommend this organization to loved ones! Thank you Dr. Vine for such a smooth experience. You made this process much easier and we were able to focus on grieving afterwards. Rest in peace, sweet Christy!
