Great management and great crew…read more Had a pool pump stop working, and my normal pool guy immediately blamed a failed motor in the pump, despite it only being 2 years old and gave me a large quote to replace. I called Pelican for a second opinion and rather than just push new hardware, they did their due diligence to pinpoint the problem.They figured out that not enough power was being supplied to the pool panel and it ended being a bad breaker that was supplying too little voltage for the pump to operate. What stood out to me was that this company was RELIABLE and did great work. Then made a call. Mark, the owner, got back to me right away and provided a very reasonable estimate to fix and clean the fountain, and clean the tile all around the pool's ledge. Another plus: Pool Tile Dr's process for blasting away the calcium. Not those glass beads, but a different, more effective and environmentally safer solution. Scheduled an appointment and CJ arrived. Immediately I could tell he was very experienced, loved his work, and was eager to start the job. He put lots of care and integrity into his work. You just don't see this type of authentic integrity anymore. It looked worse than before the acid wash. I was told it would need to be emptied and scrubbed. The owner of Ocean Wave spent hours scrubbing my pool and it all came out without draining it! He cleaned it up like it never happened. On top of that, my pool has never ever looked better or more blue since we've owned our home! He even figured out how to run our waterfall every day!
