Quiet atmosphere, solid food. Wait staff were especially kind. My friend's son is a picky eater. He only wanted a smoothie. When we asked the waitress, she said because the restaurant wasn't busy the waitress offered to grab one from the Cafe for him. She also checked on us regularly, asked if we wanted refills, waters and beverages to go and talked to my friends son a little bit to make him feel included. Great location, quiet and classy. YELP Short Answer: Yes indeed for food and libations. Location: A little off the main path but close enough to walk to form shopping an hotel. Seating Area: Large with excellent indoor, outdoor, and bar seating. It all seems to flow together so no bad seats from my vantage point. I sat at the bar as dining was closed down for the night. Last night we stopped in for a drink and to listen to music. There was no one at the door so we seated ourselves in one of the few tables without a reserved sign at 7:30? The manager and several waiters walked past us numerous times. Finally one gal gave us water but did not ask us if we wanted a drink! We sat there until 8:45 with water! It was like we were invisible! I have been there several times and never received this kind of treatment. Very strange! read more

We walked in having made a reservation and stood there for at least 10 mins before we were seated due to initially her being on the phone with a customer. Look I completely understand if you're on the phone, but what I do not accept is when you finally get off the phone is not apologizing for the wait, not smiling, not saying "I'll be right with you." We inquired about shade on the patio and if we could be seated inside if not. Apparently this was a difficult task. What irked me even more was when the female manager (Friday April 23) came over while the hostess was still on the phone, we had already been standing there for a bit. There was no acknowledgement towards us, no smile no "she'll be right with you". We were in a bad mood by the time we sat down. Saving grace was our server Katelyn! She was lovely and friendly and welcoming and attentive. Outstanding! Food was good, I had the pork chop which was delicious! However my friend ordered a Cobb salad and asked if she could get seafood (shrimp or something) added to it so server suggested salmon. The side of salmon was tiny! We were grateful for our family making a reservation for us and we're thrilled as we had just arrived at the hotel that this restaurant was in our hotel. Perhaps it was that we had been traveling all day and we're exhausted., but the music was irritating and loud and had a weird vibe. Evidently everyone in the whole restaurant arrived at the same time we did but it took forever to order and for our food to come out. Everyone pretty much ordered 3 of the same menu items. The chicken pasta was cold. The chicken picata looked good but the two people who ordered it in our party thought it should have had more breading. I had the Ceasars salad and was hoping it would be really good but it was not. Just an average Romain salad meh Ceasars dressing and white anchovies throw on top to make it special. I love anchovies and it didn't do it for me. I don't mind an anchovy garnish but I prefer a good dressing with the anchovies incorporated into it...to really get the umami of the salty ocean flavor throughout. I needed something more as this was my dinner so I ordered the basil avocado dip with pita chip. The dip was too salty according to the others that tried it. I thought it would have been more of a guacamole style dip but it was a mayo loaded goo. ANYWAYS the location was great... food and service and noise level not so great. The desserts looked unappetizing. A cheese cake with a circle of red jelly that might have been dragonfruit a chocolate cake and pannacotta with a hard cookie that my brother in law fought to break with his fork. So disappointed with the service in this place . Firstly , we were told there was going to be food & drinks after party after the Golf Parade . We go there & nothing was free . So we decided to have lunch . I ordered the Chicken sandwich with no lettuce & raw red onions . My sandwich came dry no mayo no tomatoes but loaded with lettuce . This place is so close to being great. I would love to bring more family and friends to dine and enjoy music. Thir music goes from 6 - 9 PM. The service is excellent (Kendell, Manu), and the seating is comfortable inside and outside (weather permitting). The place is not that big, but they also did a great job leaving room for dancing. The food is mixed--some great, some not so much. Here's the big, loud problem. The bands there think they are playing in a big concert hall or amphitheatre. They all play SO LOUDLY that we are yelling to talk to each other. The management knows and can't get the bands to decrease their volume. Management is more afraid that the musicians will walk out rather than demanding that they reduce their volume. Management needs to invest in the speaker technology to control it themselves. We tried sitting outside, but with summer coming, that will not be an option. We'll return when we can talk AND enjoy the music. read more

When the billed arrived we were changed $17.95 with no transparent itemized explanation of the charges. I asked the server for an explanation and he advised me of an entertainment surcharge of $6.00 per person added to each check. I asked the server this information was not disclosed prior to placing our order. The salt from the popcorn soup should have been added. -overall service: 2 --no table touch to greet until I asked the manager who our server was, so in total from sitting to the greet was about 13 min. --no spoon for the ice cream at dessert. --no check in about overall flavor of food (manager did this though) following dinner being served. -Ambience: 5; the decor is modern, table and silverware were clean. The salt and pepper shakers were clean but the holes were too small for anything to come out. Needless to say thankfully I keep salt and pepper packets in my purse. There was live music but the speakers were so loud we had to yell to each other and to our server. Not the way to go for a night out when you want to catch up with people you haven't seen in awhile. Only came because Slim Man and Chase were playing on Wednesday evening so it was our first visit with friends. Upon arrival we were seated quickly (I did have 6 pm reservations for 4). The restaurant was maybe 1/2 full with the bar being almost entirely full. We had a wait for our waitress as she was taking care of many tables inside and out on the patio. After we placed our wine/drink order it took a very long time to receive it almost wondered if she had forgotten us. But upon visually tracking her down, she was at the bar waiting for our drinks to be poured and instead of bringing our drinks first (since we had placed our order what seemed like long ago), she wanted to bring not only ours but other tables as well. It was a bummer though because our friends ordered an appetizer and that came way before our wine order even arrived to our table. They continued waiting though before eating all their scrumptious Bacon Wrapped Figs which they thoroughly enjoyed. Our friends ordered and said the Braised Short Ribs were very flavorful and yummy. Our appetizer was the Skillet Cornbread and for the price is well worth it. It definitely was moist, but lacked flavor. Yes, we could taste the Jalapeño but something was missing. As we have ordered it on many other menus, but unfortunately here it just wasn't as tasty. Perhaps because it didn't have honey baked into it or perhaps it came with a shallot herb butter. Again, not something I'd order again at this restaurant. We ordered and shared the Salmon which was good, but not a very large piece and came with only 2 asparagus and 1 sliver of a grilled carrot plus a small portion of the toasted fregula. Definitely a small portion plate for the money. We always split our plates at dinner and always walk away feeling satisfied with the portions, but I was disappointed with this plate. We also ordered the smaller version of the Organic Mixed Green salad which I felt was worth the price of $9. Our service was okay, since our server had many tables, we seemed to always be waiting for her when we needed something. The ambiance was open, lots of chatter heard because of it, decorated very lovely and modern, definitely lively and maybe because of the entertainment which is top notch with Slim Man and Chase, would have loved to dine on the patio outside if it wouldn't had been a cool evening (dogs welcome on the patio). I would have to say, been here, done that so we won't be back. There are many other yummy restaurants in the desert to try or frequent. Wasn't a fan of Larkspur Grill...sorry! One last thought and a huge thanks to Kayla our server (and perhaps she felt bad for making us wait because I did comment on our wait times) for giving us an extra 3oz of wine for the wait. We have been here often. The food is good with a small but varied menu. The manager is on top of everything and greets people warmly at the door. The staff is friendly and efficient. We have been here a couple time during the summer. On the weekend they have music they is too loud to enjoy your company. The staff was friendly and prompt. The patio dinning is nice even in the summer. We had the hanger stake both times --- first time out of this world lick the plate clean. Super disappointed the second time, totally different ! Not the same dish . Unfortunate, we like to frequently visit places we had a good meal. We also had the big ice cream dish which was over the top and yummy. I would suggest they try to be consistent with the dishes.. any changes to a good dish might leave you with non repeat guests. Maybe they had an off night but for the prices we will not try it a third time. read more

A very very disappointing experience last night. Things started off well but went quickly downhill, server was no where to be found, food came out cold and I ended up having to go to the bar for a wineglass (carafe was dropped off with no glass and again server was nowhere too be found) and then all the way to the hostess stand to ask for condiments because no one even came to check on us. Yikes! The server recommended the tortellini and it was border line inedible... it was cleared from the table basically untouched but no one asked how it was or if we wanted something else. The band playing was fantastic though! Maybeeeee id come back for drinks? But only if I sat at the bar where the bartender couldn't ignore me. read more

We went with a group of Nine and some of the party arrived later having us. We missed the Happy Hour specials by four minutes. Manager gave us a discount to match Happy Hour specials. Our group stayed for nearly four hours and were treated very well. We went back yesterday day as we felt bad how some of our party treated staff. Found drinks and food were excellent. We ordered a majority of the menu and almost everything was disappointing. 4/5- Garlic aioli for the truffle fries were the saving grace for the fries. Only item with flavor. 3/5- Truffle fries. Not light, fluffy, and crispy. Hard and semi-stale in texture. 4/5- Mac & cheese with short rib. Possibly good because it wasn't dry like many of the other dishes. 0/5- French onion soup was so sweet it tasted like dessert. Disgusting. 0/5- Cornbread was so dry, not even butter was able to salvage it. 2/5- Sliders were also dry. Looked good though so it was deceiving. 2/5- Hangar steak was bland and received at room temperature. 2/5- Fried chicken, again so dry, even with gravy/sauce. 3/5- Grill bowl's were underwhelming. Ingredients were not complimentary. 2/5- Salmon. I didn't try this dish but my friend only ate 2 bites and tossed the rest. 3/5- Short rib was tender but more on the fatty side for my friend's preference. Cocktails were also disappointing. Overall, we spent a lot of money for terrible food. We were speechless. The service was slow and our server never came to check on how dinner was going until we were obviously not touching any more. There is no excuse except laziness for this. Why do we as customers after spending $800 have to figure out how much each couple owes. Went on Friday, April 25, 2025 and sat at the bar at and waited for one of the 3 staff to acknowledge and or wait on us. It was about 5 pm but the staff was busy talking to each other. In receiving the bill we were charged for the two drinks and $12 "entertainment fee". I understand this place don't open on Monday's and probably weren't excepting to have people for valentines, however the food and service quality should be the same as any other day. The restaurant wasn't busy or looked like short staff, at least in the floor. Our server was a very nice guy, took our drink order and came back from the food order afterwards and then we didn't see him again. We wanted to order more drinks and took a little while and after our food was served he never checked on us and unfortunately all the food wasn't good. Burrata salad and onion soup were delicious, the salmon wasn't cook and I never had the chance to talk to our server as we didn't see him the entire dinner, just until the end when we wanted the bill and I asking him for a box and showed him how the salmon was raw, he took it back and instead of bring us the cook salmon he said they will give us a discount...the sliders were terrible, the meat was dry and overcook so my bf just had one, the French fries were not good, they felt like they were sitting there for a while or reheated either or so we didn't eat them either ... When I found this place on Yelp, I had high hopes given the 4.5/5 star rating, but unfortunately, for several reasons, I was a little disappointed with our dinner yesterday. The restaurant itself has a classy but comfortable vibe, and though we were dressed casually, we did not feel out of place. Initially, we ordered the Fried Zucchini, Fried Trumpet Mushrooms, and Fried Green Beans and the Skillet Cornbread, but unfortunately they were out of both of them. We then ordered the Bacon Wrapped Dates and Parmesan Truffle Frites, and they were both good. However, for entrees, our group of 6 had some entrees which were really hit or miss. I had the Heirloom Tomato and Artichoke Crusted Alaskan Cod which looked great initially but was really disappointing and I actually could not finish it. The fish was well cooked but without almost any seasoning at all. It also came on a celery root purée which also had almost no seasoning and was extremely sweet. The artichoke also was very disappointing, and overall was one of the most disappointing dishes I've had in a long time. Two of our group had the Braised Short Ribs Mac & Cheese, and both felt that the seasoning was really missing on that too and that the cheese used was really plain and they were really disappointed too. One of our group had the burger which was good, but not has good as the burger they had at Eureka restaurant the day before. One had the Honey Garlic Glazed Skuna Fjord Salmon, and that person was the only one who truly liked their dish. I would consider giving a 2 star, but our server was excellent and attentive which brought this up to a 3 star, though when the check came I was a little disappointed because I noticed that they had added a "large party" 18% tip without telling us. I don't have any problem with "large party" tips, though I've never seen a restaurant add this automatically to a group of only 6 and then not mention it at all. I'm sure some would not have even noticed that it had been added and then add another 20% tip on top of that. I ended up adding more tip on top of that despite this, since I had already planned on tipping our server more than that amount, but would have a appreciated our server at least mentioning that they were adding the automatic tip to make sure I was aware. Overall, especially for the price point of this restaurant, I was disappointed on several levels so i do not plan on returning, though I understand they could have had an off night on the food given other reviewers have enjoyed this place. read more

I've probably dined here at least a dozen times. Nice atmosphere, decent food, and good drinks. It's usually a small group of friends on a Sunday. We are locals at least during season...so it's nice to have regular dining spots. However, not sure if the management changed over the past few months, but I suggest alternative restaurants on El Paseo for groups. I know most restaurants don't love getting multiple credit cards to pay the bill, but we requested an even split to make it as easy as possible. The manager returned, placed the cards on the table, and said "you have to figure it out, only 2 cards". We all thought it was a joke...considering how rude he was. (apparently he was fired from Melvyns in PS?) but then realized there was zero discussion... he walked away. Even after explaining we've split the check many times and after expressing our disappointment , the manager refused to engage - other then say our "system doesn't allow it" (But oddly their "system" allowed it a few weeks ago when he wasn't there...) . We all dine out several nights a week... there is no system that doesn't allow multiple cards. Its an internal policy out of laziness. BTW, I've never seen the restaurant more then 30% full at best. Unfortunately because of the manager... I will never return and warn others to stay away if you plan on splitting the bill. read more
