Some may think the rude woman taking orders is funny, I did not. She was equally rude to my husband and others in the restaurant. She literally grabbed my full bowl of soup out of my hand and splashed it all over my hand while I was headed to the counter to see if I could get my lukewarm soup hot. She was totally out of line from the moment we made contact with her. I have been in the restaurant business as currently work in retail. I would never talk to and treat people the way she did. Although the soup was good this place is a real turn off to me. I have eaten in some great deli's and will miss them while in Naples for seven months. I won't be going back to this one until word is out that they have better customer service. read more

I was visiting from California. Never been to a place that are so rude to their customers. After reading other reviews, I guess it's a common problem. I also didn't find that lady funny. This place has arguably the best sandwiches in town. My friend ordered the #15 Michelle's Monte Cristo and a cup of matzo ball soup. I ordered the #7 Chopper Charley's Whirlybird and the soup de jour which was potato bacon. Wow! The food was fantastic! The sandwiches were stacked so high I couldn't get my mouth around it. The bacon was done to perfection, nice and crispy! I would recommend sharing a single sandwich. I have one warning for you... Know what you want to order before arriving. The menu is on the website along with the daily specials. Here's why: the order taker is a no-nonsense woman whose customer service skills rival the Soup Nazi's! I'm not kidding.... My wife and I visited the store in Fort Myers today for the first time. To be truthful, I was a bit apprehensive after reading all of the reviews of the Naples stores saying how rude the workers there are. I've never been to either of the two stores in Naples, but I can tell you this - the workers in Fort Myers were incredibly friendly and accommodating. From the manager (Sean) to the girls who took our orders, every one of them was pleasant and courteous. How was the food? Incredible! We tried an order of the potato latkes (wonderful) and we each had a pastrami on rye. My wife said it was the best pastrami sandwich she's ever had! That's saying something since we're from the NYC area and are used to good Jewish deli food. If you're in the mood for a great deli sandwich, do yourself a favor - try the Larry's in Fort Myers. I guarantee that you'll go back again. I know we will! read more

It's almost impossible to find good pastrami in Southwest Florida. Larry's comes as close as I've come. Their soups are notable too, but the sandwiches are the high points. You can even get a good tongue sandwich, a real rarity around here. The capper? You can wash it down with Dr Brown's soda. Not a fancy place, but functional and adequate. read more

Food is always good and there is a different special every day. It's pretty much a walk up, place your order, sit down and wait for your food. Nothing special in atmosphere or service but that's not really important with a place like this (to me at least). Staff is nice but they can be a bit short with you. Keep in mind, they are usually slammed with a line of people and the phone ringing off the hook. Been there several times and I'll be back for more! read more

I love this place! Been coming here for years love the homemade soups and the Reuben sandwich. Great burgers but no one beats their Reuben's. Yes the place is fast paced. They get hundreds of calls & faxes daily from the government center for lunches. One thing I like... Better know what you want, don't dilly dally, and don't be some old fart staring in air bewildered. Love the owner, yup she's fast, and to the point. small mom and pop pplace in Naples with great food. I ordered the Steak and Chesse which had onions on it. The good part is that it wasnt the thinly sliced steak but think and jucicy. The onion rings were great and huge which can be shared. Can't wait to back. read more

I've eaten in at this place before and didn't have a problem. I called and asked to place a delivery order since it is close by, pretty much within walking distance (typical FL weather so it rained as soon as I got ready to leave home.) The lady on the phone was very unpleasant when she answered the phone and rude from that point on. She was basically rushing me to get off the phone. Now I work in retail and have worked in food service before so I know all about wanting to get customers in and out in a timely manner. But I do not believe in sacrificing customer service for any reason. read more

While I have eaten at Larry's on many occasions, I am not a regular. I begin with this because I am aware of the directness/indifference (rudeness) of the owner who works the front/phone. I have had great sandwiches from Larry's, however they make mistakes and it's not perfect. Yesterday, WHILE DRIVING, I called and ordered a half sandwich with soup (after being chastised for not looking online for specials). When told it would be 25-30 minutes, I said, "I'm sorry, I can't wait that long", and she hung up. She simply hung up. I called Olympia, ordered a Gyro lunch special (Greek salad) with drink, it was ready in 5 minutes and cost about ten bucks. It was perfect. I will not call Larry's again because I don't want, and don't have to, be treated that way. There's no excuse. read more

The food better be darn good...because that was the rudest order taker I have ever delt with. Actually hung up the phone on me before I could ask a question...as soon as they had my credit card number...and, wanted my credit card number before providing me a total bill. The order taker sighed when I asked for the total bill, and siged again when I had a question. This is at 10:30am in the morning, and they were too busy for me I guess. This is the tip of the ice berg of my experience. I will NOT EVER USE LARRYS AGAIN because of this experience. Its too bad, because I cater ALOT of lunches. My sister and I stopped in to grab some lunch to take home for ourselves and my 16 month old son. When we go home we realized instead of grilled cheese for my son we got a chicken Cesar. My sister called and the girl on the phone really could care less. She said if we didn't want to come back "thanks for calling". As if that wasn't bad enough r the food was DISGUSTING. Chicken was nasty tasting and salad was old lettuce and tomatoes completely grossed us out waste of money. DO NOT EAT HERE. read more

Came here during my lunch break with my classmate. I was not sure what to order, so I just picked a simple plate of chicken tenders and French fries. I never had such a flavorful meal of such a simple dish. The lady at the cashier took our orders and delivered our dish was very nice and efficient. Great place to eat! read more

It was what I was told. I went yesterday and got an enormous true Reuben sandwich which is made with homemade Russian dressing not thousand Island. It was so so good.They have daily soups that looked delicious and I will try that next time. Thank goodness for finding a non-chain family business as good as they are. Stopped in upon the recommendation of a local. My wife and I got a couple of sandwiches ,take-out, for the beach. Noticed what looked like some regulars enjoying the soup. Had lunch today at the new Larrl's on Neapolitan Way.... Clean, good service, excellent corned beef and tounge, overall a good place to dine. But I suggest something other than the potato knish side.... it was deep fried and greasy. For sure, We'll be back. read more
