Walleye - $28 with Lemon Butter, double Orange Citrus Salad (subing the wild rice). Plus $16 cheese curds as a starter.

Was staying at the Renaissance hotel in Bloomington and when you don't have a car, eating in is the easiest option. We came early at 5:30 pm on a Tuesday and were the only patrons in the restaurant. Decor is clean and modern woodsy. The server was very nice and friendly. She suggested the cheese curds, which we ordered as our starter ($16). I found them slightly underwhelming for how much she hyped them up -- we didn't even finish them! Since I was in Minnesota, I ordered the Walleye, which was $28 with Lemon Butter, Wild Rice, and Orange Citrus Salad. I dropped the wild rice for extra salad. It was an excellent portion and I only finished about half. I did finish the rest back in my hotel room later that night. Good flavors and portions -- would definitely come back and try other things on the menu if I was stuck here!

    Sauvignon blanc- delish.

Service was great- ambiance good. Some chairs are more comfortable than others. Wheelchair accessible- both high and low tables. I had a burger and fries- service was great- very attentive- my to go box included napkins and ketchup packets- nice touch as I was staying in the hotel. Burger was a party of the frozen variety- had good flavor and cooked well. Good pour on the glass of wine- albeit the wine was a bit pricey - $14 for the glass. I haven't had a bad meal here-

This restaurant and bar is located inside the Renaissance hotel in Bloomington. It's very trendy and clean. This place opens up early for breakfast every morning. Service was very good today and even received a hot coffee to go. The food was hot and well prepared for the buffet section.

Great hotel restaurant serving local favorites. My family came on a Friday night and it wasn't busy at all which is expected for a hotel restaurant. However, don't let that fool you as the food was amazing! I had ordered the brick chicken which was a pressed half chicken served with wild rice, asparagus, caramelized onions and parsnip puree. The chicken was so tender and the crispy skin added a nice textural crunch. It was nicely balanced with all the other sides as well. Others at my table got the MN specials. The walleye, pork belly and steak dishes. Every dish was so flavorful and a very big portion. However, the walleye dish is what blew me away. It was walleye filets that they had lightly breaded and served with similar sides to my chicken. Such good flavor! A true MN classic. Even though this place is a little out of the way and in a more business-y area, I would definitely recommend going out of the way for it.

    Hotel shop, really cute!

What a cool Minnesota hipster vibe this place has! Lars is a restuarant/bar in a hotel Renaissance by Marriott. Good location, right off freeways. It was really quiet when we checked them out. I'm guessing it's not very well known yet. As per usual we ordered the burger, great seasoning on this! I am not a fan of fennel and it had a fennel aioli, I asked for it on the side. It was pretty good, didn't even taste the fennel. They have a few Mn beers on tap. Service was great. I really loved the decor of this place! Bartender said in the hotel they have an Olympic sized pool, only one in Mn. I walked around the lobby, this place is cool beans! If you have out of state people, tell them to go here!

Service and ambiance was great. Lexie did an awesome job and was very attentive. I just wasn't thrilled with the food quality. But, it's still better than most hotel restaurants.

    Pork belly bao

From the empanadas to the pork belly bao buns and the most amazing carne asada. Dont miss the cheesecake either. Chef Gloria is doing an amazing job at this hidden gem in Bloomington. A must try.......

Service was non-existent. They wanted us to pay to eat at the hotel's continental breakfast.

The birria beef was flavorful, but there was a little too much avocado crema for my taste, and the consommé didn't have much flavor, which was disappointing since that's usually one of the best parts of a birria dish. My mother-in-law ordered a rice bowl and said it was huge but had way too much rice compared to everything else. My partner had the Alfredo, and that was probably the favorite at our table. It was creamy, tasted great, and I liked that they used cavatappi pasta instead of the usual fettuccine. We skipped appetizers and dessert this time. Overall, the food was decent but didn't really wow me. I'd give it about 3 out of 5 stars. The Alfredo was a pleasant surprise, but the loud atmosphere and a few misses with the food would make me think twice before coming back during a busy event.

The staff here was very friendly as well as the guests and the food. Food prices were pretty fair the drink prices were a little Sky High for what they were. Wait times were not bad at all and I do love the amount of interaction that is involved with the store with all the games that are also featured here too. My one big gripe about this place is that the games itself are overly expensive and I understand that they give you "bonus credits" for what you spend when you initially get your card. I only put $10 in but I only played a few games since that's all that I could afford. Mainly I just enjoy playing all the pinball games which I was sucker for. It's got a great sports bar atmosphere but expect to possibly spend about $80-$100 if you're coming here with friends . It's a fun time but it's enough to break the wallet a bit

We were seated and had a view of the pond or water. Our server, Bryn, brought us a few glasses of bubbles to start while we looked at the menu. Bryn gave us some good recommendations, and we went with the Redstone breakfast. Redstone is known for their ribs, so what else could I choose? I selected a full rack of ribs, and the meat fell right off the bone. They had the perfect blend of BBQ, smoke, and tanginess. The sauce was not runny and stuck to the ribs. I didn't even bother with the fries. The coleslaw was mediocre and was lacking in flavor, but the ribs were heavy. We had a few glasses of wine to quench our thirst and relaxed and had great conversations as we caught up. Bryn checked up on us and made sure we had all we needed and provided perfect service. The bathrooms and restaurant areas were clean, and there was tons of free parking in their lot.

I stopped by for dinner on a Tuesday and it was pleasantly busy. My server Addison was right there to answer questions about the menu. I (of course) ordered the Reuben and three sides. I expected the sides to be small and I was surprised at how large they were. And they all were outstanding. The onion rings were large, thick, and crispy. A side order has about a dozen rings. The crock of mac & cheese has a delightful kick and when I asked Addison about it she said they make it with their queso. The bowl of Cowboy beans also has a kick and a nice smokiness. While I was eating, both managers - Amy and Jeff - stopped by to see how I was enjoying my meal, which was nice. Finally, the Reuben. I was pleased to see the corned beef was shredded but unfortunately it was very dry and tough. I wanted to cut one half into two pieces but I couldn't with my table knife. The flavor was good, the marble rye nicely grilled. It could have used a LOT more sauerkraut because the meat:kraut ratio was meat heavy. Overall a delicious meal but next time I'll try one of their burgers.
