You place your order first and then take a seat. My friend and I decided to share a pizza, we couldn't decide and we got half and half, Pear bacon bleu and Greek. I also ordered a ginger ale. So I don't know why my friend decided to share a pizza with me, maybe we were both tired, or she was sooo hungry that she couldn't make any other choice but it was surprising because pizza is not really her thing. When we were ordering, I didn't think anything of it, but as we were eating and basically almost done she said, "You know what, I would come back and have their pizza, that was the best pizza ever!!" No argument from me...both half of the pizzas were so good. It was the right combo. The pear bacon bleu was almost like a dessert pizza but still very savory with the bacon bits. We were both hungry and the pizza size was perfect and filled us both. I never did ask, but do they make their own ginger ale? It didn't taste like any other of the Ginger ales that I've had in other places. This was flavorful and very carbonated. The whole meal was perfect! Wood fired pizzas are something special since not a lot of places make pizzas this way but even better when done right. I highly recommend this place!

Food was great, service was great and I finally found the FULL wine list which was far more comprehensive than what I was given before. Wine prices are very high compared to the cost or even retail. I met the owner and told her about my initial experience. She was concerned and explained that they had been having some trouble in the kitchen but that is seems to be worked out. The Blackened Beef Tips (filet mignon in a gorganzola sauce with Blue Cheese chunks) was fabulous! I do recommend you try this restaurant, knowing that it is not cheap. Would be great for a date, ask for the cellar room.

I've been here quite a few times as this turns out to be my one of my family's favorite spots ( I was having lunch with my son and mother, then my older brother walks in, so family lunch together.) My favorite has to be the pioneer sandwich! Its big enough for 2 to split so you can save room for their soup! I had a few different ones since I moved here to big lake, and each soup special is better then the next, I enjoyed the lemon/chicken/orzo/spinach soup yesterday... and im still thinking about it today... After all this food, since it was so light and fresh, i didn't even need a nap after. And with the breakfast sandwich's, burritos, & wonderful coffee in Wasilla! It was recommended by one of the owners. The Salad was really good too! I ordered chicken, but initially received Lamb. They let me keep the salad and they made a second one with chicken. I am not usually a lamb person, but I did taste the lamb and it was so good! It's seasoned perfectly. When the chicken salad came out, that was awesome too! The samurai sauce had a small kick to it, and it was very good. They both mixed well together for dressing. Now on to the Falafel. The star of the evening! I have had many falafels around the world, and this is one of the best falafels I have had in Alaska. It is not dried out as many places overcook them. It's seasoned very well and pairs with the tzatziki perfectly. I love lemon, and you can taste the lemon in there, but it's not overpowering. It's perfectly crispy on the outside, and the perfect soft texture on the inside. While I was inhaling the great food, I learned that they make almost everything in house including the pizza crusts for the pizza. I look forward to trying that next time I am in town.
