The service was good; however the food was another issue. Steaks were so hard we had to chew them like raw hide. Had to send a medium steak back because it came out bloody. They did it right the second time. Again it was way too loud in there because they have so many people packed in there. Overall it was clean but nothing much worth coming back for. The food is excellent and knowing there are always new items makes the experience more fun. The service was very attentive without being intrusive; he was there every time you needed him. Several managers took the time to check with us in a timely way to ensure everything was to our liking. I had the steak. It was cooked to perfection and the vegetables were outstanding. My wife had scallops and they're her favorite dish. We asked to substitute items and were given great options. The meatball appetizer is deceptively named; it can be meal on its own. Really delicious, well- crafted steak. One of the best I've had for a while! Appetizers were lacking albeit great looking..and overall ambiance was very bland. I went to dinner with a colleague and some clients which turned out to be a longer evolution that anticipated because of the pacing of our meal. The server was courteous but seemed to really drag out the courses and was a bit forgetful with requests. Would I come back? Sure, but maybe order something else for appetizers. And pass on the "Caesar Salad" which had tortilla strips on it. read more

This is the third best steak I've had in life. So it ranks above the Ruth Chris and Morton's of the world. The service at the bar was top notch. Even with the top notch bar service there leaves room for improvement and selection of beers and more importantly being a steakhouse in Texas tequila's. Atmosphere was really nice with the only available seating being in the bar area and outside without a reservation. This being Texas in early June the outside seating isn't preferable. I had the lobster mac and cheese which was absolutely awesome and a loaded baked potato. I honestly wish I would have passed on a baked potato and went for one of the other sides just to try something different. I had the smaller fillet which is my preferred steak of choice and stayed away from the bigger fatty steaks. I ordered my steak medium which it came out slightly over which is weird for a steakhouse usually they come out slightly under when I asked for medium medium steaks. Since the steak was such a high cut of beef it retained the tenderness that I normally experience with my medium medium steak so it wasn't an issue. The steak was very very flavorful there was no need for anything no extra salt no extra pepper none of those fancy toppings that they have on offer I would say stay with just the steak. Now this is where preference comes in. If you have the money sure this place is going to be your premier steakhouse in all of Lubbock. But for about half the cost triple J's near the University is going to give you about 75% of the quality for less than half of the cost so there's that. Will I go back to Las Brisas yes I think I will, will it be my first choice probably not. The only reason being is because I know how good the other steak houses in the town are. read more

This is our go to restaurant at least once or twice a month, sometimes more. Whether we sit inside the dining room, the lounge or outside on the patio, our service has always been perfect. We've had the same waiter the last couple of times by chance and he is spot on. The food from the salads to the main course is very delicious and our steaks are cooked perfectly. The lobster bisque was a little too spicy for me but it still had a good taste to it. read more

This place has the best steak I have ever eaten. Even though the steak was a little more cooked than I prefer, it was amazing. The service was excellent. It is very upscale and quite expensive. If I lived close, I would visit monthly just for the steak. However, that being said, I want to explore the seafood selections at my next visit. read more

The restaurant is located in very very upscale part of Lubbock. The food and service was great. Ordered the Las Brias sea bass with the lobster Mac and cheese and the cream corn as the sides. The sea bass was so juicy yet flakey and it was topped with a good portion of a lobster tail. My friends ordered the steak and the lobster pasta. The steak looked amazing and was perfectly cooked. It was still sizzling when it was delivered to the table. Lobster chucks in the mac and cheese could have been more plentiful but still tasted good. The cream corn had a corn bread topping which was a nice touch. Would definitely go back and try a steak the next time. read more

We had a marvelous dinner last night at Las Brisas. From the moment we were greeted by Mike our server to the final good night it was a very special night. Service is timely and so efficient but not pushy. The bread to start is tasty and warming. They offer a complete wine list, even having a Moscato for my wife. We shared the filet duo, with sautéed spinach and potatoes. The food was excellent and considering our party of five had a three year old with us, who incidentally did so well, it was a great dining experience. I highly recommend this restaurant! Las Brisas is an outstanding steak restaurant. We were visiting Texas and wanted to get a steak dinner since Texas is known for its beef. We ordered a Filet Mignon, Blue Cheese Filet Mignon and a Ribeye Steak. All steaks were enormous and cooked to perfection, for our sides we had mashed potatoes, asparagus and a baked loaded potato. The baked potato was the largest I have ever seen in a restaurant and the taste was amazing. We also ordered 2 cocktails that were exceptional. If you enjoy steak, this is the restaurant for you. read more

We were in town for Red Raider Orientation at Texas Tech, and needed a place to celebrate my birthday. My husband researched, found Las Brisas and made a reservation for us. It did not disappoint, the food, service, and ambiance are exceptional! The steaks were amazing, cooked to perfection and so tender and delicious, and I want the truffle mashed potatoes for life! We had a Sunday night reservation on the patio. We were seated by the hostess, but minutes after sitting down we could tell the service was going to be slow by how long it took our waitress to greet us. It is important to note the patio was less than half full with 4-5 people staffing. The food took over 30 minutes to come out and was nothing amazing for a restaurant with high expectations. The toppings on the street tacos were dried out and accompanied by a hair on the plate. It wasn't worth the time to bring it to the waitresses attention and have to wait even longer for new food. We planned on having dessert, but opted to leave and have some elsewhere based on our experience. It was very apparent if you aren't willing to flirt with the wait staff or rack up a large bar tab your service is impacted. Had we received better service we would have been willing to spend more on our dinner, but it wasn't worth the time or money. We will not be returning any time soon and will not recommend our friends and family to either. read more

We went here for my brother's graduation and my family and I had a great time! The food was amazing but we had one of our steaks more well-done than rare that was requested. Our server Aundrea was so sweet and very attentive. We had informed her about the cook of the steak and she immediately took it back to make another. About 15 mins later, they brought it out and comped us a free dessert on top of that including a firework candle to celebrate the graduation. From the outside this place doesn't strike me as a steakhouse. Never judge a book by its cover! The interior is upscale with service and ambiance to match. On my own so I took a seat at the bar and chatted with some regulars. I ordered the 8oz filet mignon which is served with sautéed asparagus and truffle mashed potatoes. The asparagus could've been a touch better but still tasty while the mashed potatoes were outstanding. The headline was the steak and It exceeded expectations! It was cooked to perfection and as good as I've had anywhere. The bartenders were super friendly and definitely knew their trade. I watched some quality drinks pass by and wished I didn't have to drive. If I'm back in Lubbock this is on my list for a return visit. read more

We had reservations Sunday 12/3 to celebrate my sons ring day. We arrived on time to be told they couldn't find our reservation, which I had reconfirmed 2 days before. The hostess was rude and acted like it was my fault. They finally accommodated us in the bar with a tv playing a football game overhead. Definitely not the nice celebration evening we had planned. Our waitress was fantastic and the food was good...thankfully. They offered us 1 comped dessert if we wanted cheesecake or chocolate cake, we were a party of 5. We ordered the Creme Brûlée which was great and the Bananas Foster, which according to the menu is made table side. It was not and when delivered to the table the ice cream was almost completely melted and looked like a soupy mess. Most disappointing was that we asked to speak with a manager when they couldn't find our reservation. We were there over 2 hours and no manager ever came to speak with us. I have since left 3 messages asking a manager to call me and have received no call. I guess they have enough business that they don't care‍. We definitely won't go back and won't recommend. read more
