Delicious! Full of flavor steaks. We are not fans of seafood so the appetizers didn't look very appealing to us. We like to start with something before our meal so we opted for the wedge salad with a side of fries...delish! My husband ordered the NY Strip and I had the 8oz Filet with Chipotle Horseradish Sauce for dipping...YUM. The NY Strip was perfectly cooked however the Filet was way over cooked (why I didn't give 5 stars). The server let the manager know about the issue and she offered to make me a new filet, however, because it was still delicious and I was starving so I didn't request it. The manager then offered a dessert on the house and I chose the Chocolate Cake to go... wow we popped it in the microwave for 30 seconds, the frosting melted like a molten chocolate cake and we topped it with the pralines and caramel ice cream....so goooood! I have been dining at Las Brisas for about 3 years now and I have always had a wonderful experience up until the other day. I would like to clarify that the food was wonderful as usual, however, the service was lack luster. While we were at the restaurant, there was a severe thunderstorm which caused the power to go out, and while I think the rest of the staff handled the situation gracefully, I believe our waiter, Grant, did not. After finishing our main courses, in the dark, I asked for a dessert menu as I observed the rest of the staff were offering desserts to their sections. However, upon asking our waiter for dessert, I was told that I could only order one specific item, cheesecake, as I watched a banana's foster be made approximately 3 minutes later. It seemed that our waiter cared more about going on his smoke break than providing us with the same service as other customers. Very disappointing. read more

Incredible quality and service. My filet was cooked to perfection and was on point. I ordered the 10 oz and I bet it was 10+oz. Ordered double veggie instead of potato and got well over a cup of fresh broccoli and some nice roasted asparagus. We got bacon wrapped quail and bacon wrapped jalapeños. I really don't have much bad to say but I was surprised how something was handled. First the wait staff was awesome, the manager handled an over-cooked steak really well, drinks were great. However they over-cooked my filet, it happens, no big deal. Our dinner was needing to wrap up as my guest was driving back to Amarillo. The waitress took the steak back. I'd ordered a baked potato as a side and it came on a separate small plate. I ate the baked potato to be fair. The manager came, apologized and asked if she could offer another steak. She handled it professionally. I told her it wasn't necessary since we had to leave and the potato would be enough just take it off the bill. Then noticed on the bill I was charged $8 for the baked potato (if I read the bill correctly). I don't mind paying for food and can't say my feelings are correct. I've never been charged for a side after a restaurant messed up the main entree. Def be back tho. read more

Good overall restaurant sometimes. We were celebrating my husband's birthday in the heated patio area. We were looking forward to a nice atmosphere for a semi- quiet dinner but at the next table, the people were watching a show on their phones on the table. I could hear everything. Whatever happened to enjoying one another's presence and good conversation. Then we were getting cold and asked our server about the temperature and was told that someone requested the heaters be turned off. Really!!!! Great food, I got the garlic chicken, and it came with what I think was rice but wasn't great. Steak was amazing, so was the chicken and garlic sauce, the wagyu meatballs were pretty bad, and food took forever. But the waiter was nice. Hats off to the Las Brisas staff! We had over-the-top service, and the food was excellent. On top of that, we received a gift card from my parents-in-law for our anniversary when COVID-19 started and forgot about it. We hadn't been to Las Brisas in a while and decided to try to use it as we celebrated a late Valentine's Day. We thought there was a good chance it wouldn't work(since my wife and kids have worked a lot in the food service business) and planned to pay full price. I dont even know where to start. This place is wonderful! We originally had a table in the main dining room but our table was in a dark corner so we opted to sit in the bar until another table came open. The bar area is WAY bigger than I expected. The bartenders were so incredibly friendly. We only intended to stay at the bar for a drink and appetizer but the service was so great at the bar we decided to have our meal there. The calamari is a must. It was absolutely wonderful. We also tried the stuffed jalapeños. They were huge jalapeños stuffed with seasoned ground beef and wrapped in bacon. You have to use a knife and fork for these because they're so big. For dinner I ordered the 8oz filet (MR) with a side of mashed potatoes. My steak was probably the best steak I have every had in my life. It was perfectly cooked and had an amazing flavor. The mashed potatoes were amazing as well. Went to Las Brisas the other evening with two friends. We had a fantastic meal with great service. We tried the crab cakes and the fried calamari. Both were really good. I especially loved the sauce that came with the crab cakes. I had the Prime Ribeye -- it was cooked perfectly. It's served with mashed potatoes and asparagus which were both excellent. They also have a great wine list -- both by the glass and bottle. I was impressed for Lubbock, Texas. For dessert we ordered the Bananas Fosters, which is quite the show. This is probably the priciest restaurant in Lubbock, but it definitely does not disappoint. The decor inside is tasteful and attractive, but nothing flashy. We visited Las Brisas from Denver, and I would say it tops every high end steakhouse we frequent. Tray aka Forest Gump is probably the best server I have ever had. Very disappointed, my 3D visit to Las Brisas and every time I go back it is getting worse. Worse the Qualify of the Food and the equivalent Prices. "Lump Crab Cakes " $ 19.00 It is a insult for this Dish that the Word " Lump Crab " Is mentioned on the Menu. What it is are two Hockey Pucks made out of 97 % Breadcrumbs and 3% Crab sprinkled on to for good looks. Shame on this Chef de Cuisine , simply unacceptable. Boy oh boy, do I love steaks or what?! I thought I had tasted the best steak in Houston but this place just blew me out of the waters in an instant after I sunk my teeth into the all so tender flesh hunk of meat there was to human kind. I might've over-exaggerated on that part but that was how it was for me on my first night here on Valentine's day with my bf. I loved every part of the experience here as a fellow patron to all the older patrons that came here as a couple that night. The waiters were like professionals that knew how to give excellent services to all human beings no matter their age or dress attire.
