I will comment on 3 things. 1. Price vs. quality 2. Flavor 3. Drinks You don't get what you pay for here. I have no problem paying more for a meal if the quality matches the pricing but the quality of the food here is just okay. I know that I can go to get tacos from a gas station taqueria and for 6 bucks get 6 tacos that are sooooo good and full of flavor, that I kick myself for choosing the food here. I don't take issue with the portion sizes, Mexican food can often be heavy so I appreciate the smaller portions but again, the quality is just okay. Nothing tastes fresh, and the flavor-that's what I'm talking about next. I LOVE the flavors of Mexican food. And how the flavors here are either bland or almost nonexistent is confusing to me. Are the cooks told to only shake once? And what about a little salt? People don't go to Mexican for their health, put some salt back into the food. The pinto beans were flavorless, even when I put salsa on top and dipped my chip into it (the paste I ate in kindergarten had more flavor), still no flavor. Each time I come here, I truly hope for fresh food with great flavor and every time I leave disappointed in the food but the drinks..... The drinks here are amazing! This is the main reason we come back. Great flavors. You get fresh ingredients (like mint and lime)-not cheap mixers-so good. If the bartender was also the cook, I'd have great hopes for this place. I think the atmosphere is what brings people in, it's really nice and clean (and that's really important during Rona's unwelcome presence) but it's just not enough- I really would love to see the quality and the flavor of the food turned up many notches-it can be done if a gas station can serve 5 star tacos for a buck; slow roast some pork butt, give a couple options of great fresh salsas (not something blended from a jar), maybe reduce the menu for a while so you don't have wasted food and you'll be able to keep fresher food on hand. Please, for the love of cumin, add some more flavor. I am not Mexican but I love Mexican so I make quite a bit at home. My son came here one time to eat with friends, he proclaimed to his friends that his mom makes better Mexican than this place. Pricey but never bad food. Not my go to Mexican restaurant but if in downtown Edmonds and want nice outdoor seating, it's good.

Really liked upscale Mexican restaurant vibe. Or was clean and service was top notch. We ordered the goat cheese and zucchini quesadilla, which was absolutely delicious, however I did not think it was worth $11, maybe a tad bit less. Flavors we all there though. In addition ordered the mariachi burrito which was ok, I agree with another reviewer it was 85% rice & beans and 15% vegetables where I'd like to definitely see more vegetables! I will start by saying the restaurant is very clean and very COVID-safe. The outdoor space is great! We were looking forward to trying the food based on the great environment. The staff are very nice. Sadly the food is terrible and very over-priced. My partner ordered flautas and they were soggy and bland. The beans tasted like canned fish scales. My chipotle chicken sandwich was well-seasoned but the chicken was over cooked. The chipotle fries were soggy. I ordered strawberry lemonade and it was $5.00 per pint, no free refills. I was not expecting $10.00 for two pints of strawberry lemonade. While I can appreciate the work to create a safe environment, the food was awful and terribly over-priced. One star for the environment and cleanliness. The rest left a lot to desire. Food was bland and our waiter ruined our experience. Paolo, was rude, abrupt, inattentive, disrespectful, and annoyed. He did not care that my loved one was hard of hearing. There was confusion over her order, I couldn't even understand what he was asking or what he said. He was so rude when trying to clarify and appeared to be attempting to create an intimidating environment. When the food arrived and it was the wrong order, he literally rolled his eyes, berated my loved one, huffed, and stomped out. In my 45 years, I've only experienced this kind of degrading and rude service a few other times. Water glasses were never refilled, he never checked on us... the list goes on. read more

As Mexican restaurants go, nothing special. Although my review is only based off of the Happy Hour nachos which were tasty and filling. A bit burnt on the edges, But the delicious toppings and generous portion made up for that. And, fresh guacamole. I would return to try some other dishes when I'm in Edmonds again. TVs over the bar viewable from whole restaurant, playing sports games at the time (Sept 2019). Open area near the kitchen where a woman was hand making tortillas. The service: Spot-on. The food: Chips and salsa good--nice spice and fresh. I ordered the Burrito Expresso, which was described as chicken burrito with rice and pinto beans, topped with enchilada sauce and guacamole. It was so bland. I added salt but it didn't help because they obviously didn't season the chicken or anything inside the burrito. They also over-cooked the chicken; it was dry as could be. Not to mention it was also 85% rice, 10% beans, 5% chicken.... $18ish for that...? Guac was good, sauce was decent. My boyfriend got a chile rellano w/ an enchilada. Chile rellano was good. Enchilada sauce was good enough, the enchilada itself was bland. My drink--hibiscus mojito--was good. They serve a full sized cup of it. Not strong but not too weak. Flavor was sweet and just ok. Las Brisas is good, for a slightly higher price. Service: I've been there 5 times total and every time I've never had the best service honestly. It takes the staff a while to come back to the table, and they aren't really on top of things as much as I would appreciate. Sometimes it took the server 10 minutes to refill our chips, it's never a quick spot to eat because it takes forever to get service basically. Atmosphere/Vibe: Chill, very laid back. It's a very high end looking place and I definitely don't suggest wearing a hoodie here. Maybe dress casual, but nice casual. It's beautiful inside, I love the fireplace and I love the blue accents. The food: The guacamole is definitely my favorite. I was a vegetarian when I went there and they do have a veggie friendly section in their menu! I got their veggie burrito and it was delightful each time I got it. The chips and salsa are fine, sometimes the salsa is a little too watery for my taste. Overall: I give it 4 stars just due to the poor service. I would go back eventually, but it's definitely not at the top of my list when it comes to Mexican food. read more

Tasty and priced well. There were a few Mexican food options offered by the area so we entertained the idea of whatever was nearest to the pier...which ended up being Las Brisas. Either we were extremely hungry or the food hit home--I think it's safe to assume the food was really good haha. Uhm, I think we ordered the whole menu...as takeout lol. Everything had flavor and the spicy items had the right amount of kick to the tongue n belly. Get the Chimichanga. It has so much depth with a serious crisp on the bottom that is super flakey. The Chipotle Fries can be a bit oily with some inconsistencies. Tacos are lish. Diablo Wings creep after a few bites, but good. Then there's the Pollo Con Crema...which is awesome and gives your palate a chance to balance with everything. 4 stars. Do ittt!!! read more

This place is a solid 3. Not a star more. Not a star less. Makes me angry that such prime location in downtown Edmonds can be occupied by something so average. The beverages (virgin and alcoholic margaritas), warm chips & salsa, nachos, and guacamole were 3.5/5. The jalapeños stuffed with cheese and fajitas were a 1/5. The service was good though. Bland. I'm not sure what happened because I used to really enjoy this place. The food tonight left me thoroughly unimpressed. I felt like I remembered the salsa being enjoyable here. Now it tastes like every other PacNW salsa which is not fresh, heavy base of cumin and chili power. Yes, we relocated from TX about 10 years ago, so I have high Mexican standards. We ordered the appetizer guacamole and were very disappointed in the lack of flavor there as well. I heavily salted it and it still left lots to be desired. Tried mixing in a bit of salsa and it was at least palatable. My home "guac" with avocado and garlic salt is better than what we're served. Finally, my husband and I shared the Pollo Crema which should have been delicious based on the description, but again came up short in the flavor department. The chicken (underneath the too heavy cream sauce) was flavorless. Which would be acceptable if the cream sauce was super delicious. It literally tasted as though someone put in a cup of sour cream and said "alright, for those who will pay $18 for chicken with sour cream, we shall call this Pollo Crema! Ha ha! Suckers!" The bottled Negro Modelo received a frosty mug and a lime, so 1 Star for that and another star for the ambiance because it is beautiful and a nice place to have a conversation... But a new chef is necessary. Where is Hell's Kitchen filming next? Can they come to Edmonds? read more

Nice setting, attentive servers, salsa pretty good. But the food has always been disappointing. Tonight ordered the cheese dip. It tasted overly sour, like one of the ingredients they made it with had gone bad. I told the server it was sour and he told me it was cheese. Ok. Had the chicken skewers with pineapple salsa and green salad. The "salad" was just some brown lettuce and tomatoes that they put on all their burrito dishes and such, very small portion (maybe a third of a cup of letruce?) and yes- brown on the edges. The chicken and salsa were good, but not sure why this dish doesn't come with any beans or rice or tortillas. The prices are high, especially for what you get. I've gotten the Caesar salad before- small, and the Chili Verde- was ok. Maybe I'm getting the wrong thing. Three times now. read more

This place is a serious rip-off for food portions and the quality is not what I would recommend for authentic Mexican food. The street tacos were a joke. $22 and it was a sprinkle of meat with cilantro and onion for three small tacos (I'm talking three of mini size tortillas). We've ordered these tacos before and they previously used regular sized tortillas and a normal amount of meat, so they are clearly trying to skim guests. We sent the tacos back, as there was no way we were going to entertain that. The fajitas were bland as well, no sizzle- they came prepped with a few pieces of chicken and a small, soggy portion of peppers. I've been here quite frequently and have had small occurrences like this happen and let it slide, but when I got the bill for the small skinny margarita I ordered, they decided to charge me $19 instead of $12 for the same drink I always order- that was it for us. Their response was that was the price the bartender set. What was most upsetting about our experience, was they had a don't care attitude that didn't sit well with us. After we sent the tacos back, waiter never came back to check on us until it was time for the bill. When you feel like you're getting purposely screwed in prices and the customer service/response is basically "piss off," kinda leaves a bad taste in your mouth. Go to Kahlo's or Santa Fe if you enjoy real Mexican food, real service, and don't want to be disappointed. read more

Very disappointing. Very courteous staff but The service was extremely slow. We were the first ones in the restaurant but it took forever to get our food. My wife ordered hard tacos and they had to remake them because they had soft ones ready to serve her. My kids ordered grilled cheese but the fryer was broken. Kids got fries about the time we had to leave. Grilled cheese was burned as well. No offer to take a meal off our bill as I would have expected. Bummer of a dinner. Hard to recommend. read more

The food here is always amazing. I would suggest the taquito appetizer it's simply amazing and the right blend of crunchy on the outside , soft on the inside. I've been here about 6 times the past year. I've had one issue with my burrito being too wet , but the server immediately took it back and made the situation right. Sometimes if they're too busy I have to wait a long time to get my water refilled which is a bit problematic but I'm sure they're just really busy . Other than that the staff is pretty friendly and food is great. The ambience is very nice with a fireplace that's lit at night and a beautiful outdoor area. Will be back. read more

Both were very bland, mine mostly tasted like the sauce was just tomatoes and nothing else. We both needed to order hot sauce to make it even remotely good. Think of a reasonable price for a mediocre meal. Triple it, and then replace that mediocre meal with something you'd expect from " kids night to cook". This description is generous though because the kids don't really know any better and aim to please. So many other local restaurants deserve your support more than this one. The place looks cool and we had good service but the prices are ridiculous for the quality of food. I ordered the Mariachi burrito because the first listed ingredient was sautéed vegetables. Turns out it was filled with like 80% rice with a few black beans and a couple of mushrooms and peppers. It also said it came with a salad which consisted of like five bits of iceberg lettuce... all for $20. If this had all tasted delicious then maybe I wouldn't have minded but it was sad, dry, and bland. My man got chicken fajitas and he was equally unimpressed. They do make a good and strong margarita but if a restaurant doesn't have good food that matches the price point, why bother. read more

I'm very glad I gave Las Brisas a shot when the wait for Anthony's Beach Cafe was ridiculously long! All of our food was delicious and generously portioned. My carne asada was tender, flavorful, and cooked perfectly medium. The BF's carne asada + chile relleno combo was another winner, with gorgeous presentation to boot. My mom's ceviche was also great. Not too sour and plenty of other veggies in there too. The service could have been a little more attentive, but it didn't kill us. And the bathrooms are way out in the middle of the strip mall hallway, where it is cold. IN any event, we'll be back! read more

Food to price ratio is not even. You pay a bit too much for the food you receive. We visited this lovely little place this past weekend and enjoyed sitting out on their patio under the sun. I ordered the mango and avocado salad with endives and added their sauteed shrimp. It was really good, but for $15, it's just too expensive for a salad. The hubs got Dungeness Crab enchilada, but it was $16, and it was just alright. The cocktails were waaay overpriced, some were $14. That's bananas. I ordered their Hibiscus Mojito (quite tasty) and it was $10. That's not crazy, but it definitely made me not want to order another. Now don't get me wrong, there are some nice things. The food presentation is lovely, and the service is decent; we had Octavio serving us and he was really nice and friendly. The restaurant location is perfect, right in downtown Edmonds next to the old Mill Town strip. Comparing this to El Puerto, which is just down the street, I'd choose this place over El Puerto because of the food quality and choices; also, the restaurant feels more hip and clean than El Puerto. This place is okay, but it's nothing special. And there are so many new places to try, it's hard to justify coming here for trying something different (or something I know will be better). read more

Not a bad place to meet up with friends did dinner. It's spacious, clean, and modern. What really made me give 5 stars was the tortilla soup. It was amazing. I'm used to the more tomato based broths so when I saw this clear broth I immediately assumed no flavor. I was wrong! It was amazing! Really flavorful (not spicy though). There were generous chunks of chicken, avocado, and lots of tortilla strips. It was great! I was also really impressed with the pico de gallo and guacamole (I usually hate guacamole). They were so fresh and very delicious. I also got a watermelon margarita which I was not entirely impressed with. It was a little too sweet. I probably should have gone with a regular one. Staff were nice enough but a little slow and didn't bring us silverware or plates. We ended up waiting while our food was in front of us and after about 5 minutes grabbed silverware from tables next to us. It was good we did that because the silverware or extra plates never did come. I will be back for the pico de gallo and soup! read more

We brought the family in well in the outside tent for lunch. It was pouring rain but the tent kept us semi warm and dry. The staff was very kind and attentive.
